Before playing her first show in Amsterdam, she sat down with 3voor12 to talk about how she wrote her hit song '1950' (in the shower), and what it's like to be a part of a new generation of artists who no longer have to hide their queer identities: 'It's not trendy to be gay. We've always been gay!'

I really agree with her when she says "we had been gay" i encouter a lot of people who say that "more people are becoming gay" but that is not the case. There has always been a lot of gay or lgbt+ people but now people just feel more safe to be themselves openly now a days and i find that very beautiful
