That was cool 6 or 7 years ago i remember a class 91 and a hst at Waverly station in Edinburgh the class 91 was departing but it wasnt coupling at first i thought it was going to crash but it switched on to the other track. Good vid
Love the clamshell door opening and retraction, ready for the `Dellner coupling' (I think that's what they are?) To be used, however, not so sure about the guide on the platform. No distance indications whatsoever, just a nod of the head or a thumbs up! Is it really that simple nowadays??
@@BensPlanesTrainsProductions when the couplers come together mechanically there is a position indicator (part of the manual uncoupling handle) that will show if it is fully coupled. There is also a valve that will block the pneumatic signal to allow the electrical coupler to extend if not coupled. Finally the driver should perform a pull away test.
Bloody awful trains. When did GWR discover that these abortions have to split/join at Plymouth, because the 10 car units couldn't fit properly into any station in Cornwall except Penzance. They should make everyone joining at Plymouth sit crammed into the first five units and leave we longer distance passengers from Cornwall some more space. Damned annoying.
Yes it is annoying, understand where your coming from. A lot Platforms here in Cornwall won't be extended with viaducts and bridges that limits them to extend them. But yes I do prefer the 9 cars instead of 5+5 to form 10 coaches.
Amazing train and railway and sending support
Thank you for the comment.

Thanks bud for the comment, its good to talk about good memories from visiting a station.
Looks like the Azuma’s are having a kiss and a cuddle
There not Azuma's, Azuma is East Coast Mainline.
The sun makes that 802 livery looks very green
It sure does indeed.
Running 5 cars, its the Voyager saga all over again
They add another unit on some services to form a 10 car unit.
I can’t believe there are two twins couple are not together that’s my favourite video in the world 🌍💛🧡❤️💘 🥰🙂🥰
Glad you like the video
Another great video, well done!
Much appreciated David, thank you for your comment.
How much time does it take for the combined train to get started for onward journey?

I think they prefer someone to make sure its all coupled up fine and connection is made. Not 100% sure what the procedure is to be honest.

G.W.R's all new Electric-Diesel class 800/802's with automatic coupling systems, nice view of a lovely G.W.R class 43/125 in the other platform
Do Prefer the Class 43's myself, but at some stage they have to be replaced like most things these day's.
Great video. ☺️ I just subscribed to ur channel. ☺️
Thankyou for your comment, I have subscribed back.
@@BensPlanesTrainsProductions Ur welcome and thanks for subscribing to my UA-cam channel. ☺️
When the nose is taken off it reminded me of the class 755
Your correct, There is no nose on the 755 Units.
Ben's Planes & Trains Productions yep
👍👍👍👍
HST! Om Nom!
HST Personally. but it is what it is.
802020 before it's Key Worker livery makeover.
Before the makeover was applied, yes
Do these units still need a pull-away test? Or did I miss it?
I think they still do the test to make sure the connection is successful to be on the safe side.
🥂🥂🥂🥂🥂🥂🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾
this is funny because they uncouple at plymouth and go from london paddington to exeter and on the way uncouple at plymouth haha lol
Yeah silly if you ask me.
These are the worst high speed trains in the world
I wouldn't say they are the worse. Probably the worst is the 220's & 221's as they are not able to tackle sea conditions such as Dawlish.
cry more hst fanboy
