@@ItsGeezee not smart at all, they already fucked the entire car because when you cut a car in half it never turns out perfectly and it wasn't even necessary because the regular lancer or cedia share the same chassis as the evo, they could have replace just the rear quarter panel and the rear lights sockets and its done, that's faster, better results and you don't mess with the frame of the car. We will add some running videos aswell, and these converted evo's are running with some high end setups as well, the stability depends on how error free is it converted.

@@hyderali1993 I don't know about current conversion costs but already converted ones are selling for 30-40 lac on pakwheels. Cheapest ones are the Evo 7 gta with the dsg automatic transmissions.

This is too much work to convert to an Evo. It's easier to get the AWD drive lancer and put the 4G63 in and upgrade tht suspension etc
its easier to simply buy a real Evo 8 in subpar condition and restore it.

In my country there are thousands of normal lancers but less than ten original evolutions because taxes of cars more than 1.6 liters are more than 2x. So many people import evolutions as spare parts and rebuild their cars as you see in this video

They didn’t buy Evo 8s, making them low in number, which increases their value… If only people bought a lot of them, maybe we can get one for like $6,000 but we can only wish.

Can we convert lancer to evolution without changing the exterior and interior, like only engine ams suspension etc ? Not like this body cut or changing interior , I mean I don't want my car to look like evo but just to run like evo ? How much that would cost

lancer is front wheel drive and evo is all wheel drive, so they cut out the back section for the all wheel drive system

@@Testtestnotest ugh wrong. You obviously do not know anything about evos. While the basic architecture is shared, the rear subframe and floor must be changed to accommodate the awd system. You cannot just stick a differential on the rear and call it a day. Cutting the chassis at the back will save them more time and energy instead of grafting an evo panel to the stock chassis and cutting a hole on the floor pan since they won't need to have the geometry figured out which will add more complexity to the process thus their choice of cutting the chassis is a lot more effective.
This car is called ASSEMBOLUTION. For a fact is is being assemble from a front and rear cut.

No they don't break..its a solid foundation joint, u need extreme power to hit the car to break it

I have a 04 lancer and had an evo 8. The base lancer is very stiff, and comparable to the evo. The only real difference is the evo has more spot welds in it. Very noticeable around the door under the weather stripping.

To be honest, I couldn't understand why did that...
you need the replace the whole rear quarter panel to be able to fit the rear doos properly.

I'm looking at potentially getting a Lancer instead of a subaru but i was wondering how much power can i get naturally aspirated because the subaru was noticeably more powerful
It's going to be a lot more expensive to convert a lancer to an Evo because the rear end needs to be converted. Your better off getting a Subaru Impreza and converting it to a WRX or STi because all Subarus are already AWD. Plus Subarus are like Legos, everything fits other Subarus without major modifications. I personally have an 05 WRX and it was more economical than buying a plain Impreza.

And that's why the U.S. is falling apart. Other countries that don't have the ease of daily access to higher end cars or the "luxurious" lifestyles like we do, tend to be the ones that work the hardest to get what they want. They have pride and ambition, a real work ethic. Us Americans have no culture. We've become lazy and have developed this mentality that everything should be replaced instead of repaired.

Buy a new one because conversion is going to cost you same since you have to buy the whole car as parts . If your gov don’t let you import cars consider doing a conversion if you can find cheap labor charges

I don't understand how this can be an Evo.
The Evolution came from a totally separate factory. The Evolution & standard lancer shells are completely different.
By the time you do a conversion properly including the engineering of moving & installing appropriate suspension pick-up point's sourcing parts etc. It would be cheaper to buy the real deal.
they came from the same factory and share a lot. I had both cars, they chassis is very similar. Some countries have stupid high tax on cars like this, or they were illegal all together.
@@jasonpavlik4904 similar isn't the same. I'm only looking at it from a motorsport point of view. As far as I'm concerned they're chalk & cheese. If you do your research you will find that there was a separate facility that produced the majority of ralliart parts & it's also where they were built. All under the Management of Andrew Cowan & when he retired that was effectively the end of Ralliart & as far as I'm aware all tooling has been destroyed.
We can't impprt the evo here. The ones imported have tons of import taxes, so yeah this conversion would still cost about 3 tines less than an actual evo.
Cheaper to buy real evo? Don’t think so. This conversion isn’t rlly new in SE Asia. Buying a whole halfcut & do the conversion is cheaper compared to the evo price, that’s why lots of ppl did this. But usually what I’ve seen, they just cut the quarter panel instead of the chassis like that. I know some shops that specialize this on evo 1-10 & also importing evos halfcut.

sorry but hows is the logic, when you have a full body evo chassis and you cut it to give to a lancer body? why not build the evo chassis in the first place and not become a donor car? pls enlighten me.

We can’t import full evos and the ones available are extremely expensive. Importing half cuts is possible so that’s what we do
