Ayahuasca Foundation Curandero Course - Inkan Kena, Amazonas, Perú

During my time in the Amazon Jungle of Peru, specifically in the area known as Iquitos, I participated in an Ayahuasca Curandero Course. This course aimed to educate individuals on facilitating Ayahuasca ceremonies, preparing the medicine, learning various Ikaros (traditional songs), and practicing the traditions and language of the Shipibo Tribe, which is the indigenous group inhabiting that region.
I was fortunate to live directly among the Shipibo Tribe, immersing myself in their environment and learning through direct experience.
The video shows a glimpse into life at Inkan Kena, thanks to the assistance of the Ayahuasca Foundation, which collaboratively fosters a space for healing and education. This environment includes daily schooling, strict dietary guidelines (abstaining from salt, sugar, spices, oils, drugs, coffee, meat, internet, or any other form of "escape" stimulants for two months), and fasting for at least three days while communing with sacred tree spirits like Noya Rao, Bobinsana, or Churichaci, depending on one's spiritual focus.
The retreat is intense, with Ayahuasca ceremonies held every second night throughout the duration. Contrary to expectations, the alternate days are not for relaxation but are filled with encounters with various plant medicines, abundant in the vast and natural "pharmacy" of the Amazon rainforest. According to the shamans, there is no ailment that cannot be healed by a plant in the Amazon Jungle.
Throughout this journey, everything that has been held or trapped inside comes up to the surface, allowing us to truly see what we have to work with in order to progress to the next level.
I still have a month left on the course, which I will hopefully soon return to finish!
The video shows amazing drone footage of the jungle, along with me meeting a four-meter-long snake crossing my path, a frog the size of my head, scorpions in the living in my bungalow, and large tarantulas climping on the kitchen walls etc.
