We hunt pine plantations in south MS(Weyerhaeuser). What impact does fire have on the timber production, and how hard would it be to get thier permission to burn?
They will not allow you to burn on any of their properties.
I felt like they wouldn't being i never see any of thier leases being burnt. Seems like after the pines are thinned and the understory is still short they might consider permitting it. I know it would be helpful to wildlife. I guess that's why they gave up on calling themselves "The Sportsmans Friend"
