People say that every year. The reality is that there's never gonna be a better dunk contest than 2016. Unless they want to add people who are professional dunkers. Adding Mac last year was a step in that direction, but it's not enough. NBA players don't spend the amount of time on dunking (for good reason) necessary to be creative or explosive enough to impress people at this event anymore.

Yall dont realize how impressve that last dunk was. I met mac in person and mfer is definitely not 6'2 like listed. He is around 5'11. Im 6'2 and was towering over him. Hin doing a reverse dunk over shaq without hitting his head is impressive as hell at that height.

My Guy is 6 foot 2. 6 fuckin 2 and his hair hit the rim while CLEARING SHAQ. Im 6'2" and i can barely touch the rim. Give this man all the credit in the world. The greatest dunker to ever do it. you deny? the next best is jordan kilgannon. he's also 6'2" better dunkers than any nba player

This is why we should open up the dunk contest to non-nba players.
Mac obviously has some rare sh*t going on with him genetically and he probably has a ridiculous workout routine. But the fact that he doesn’t play in the league regularly is why he cares. And motivation goes a long way in an event like this.
There are former top prospects out here who maybe got injured or locked up at a bad time. Or did track or something. They would pull everything out of there bag if they had a platform like this.
There’s stupid athletes out here that would be fun to watch if they had a few months to practice and prepare for this.
NBA destroyed this event by going with bogus judges.

The first dunk was the by far best of the whole event! Jury is trash and they absolutely didn't want Mac to repeat! But the rest was pure trash, so he did it again!
