You can hear the exact moment in the main melody line where they were like "Oh shit, we can't copy Turquoise Hexagon Sun note for note" and they just slightly change it up.
You are completely oblivious and tone-deaf if you think that this isn't an homage to turquoise hexagon sun. Both songs are at almost the exact same tempo, with an extremely similar hip hop beat and the melody line is identical in both pitch and rhythm for 3 out of the 4 bars that it lasts. "why would they want to copy that" maybe because that Boards of Canada album is one of the most famous electronic music albums ever. I'm not saying this song is bad or anything like that, but to ignore its similarities with turquoise hexagon sun is stupid.

Because it does. In the case of BOC the third chord progression from the chorus mixes a minor and major key together, while the Death Note actually purifies it and keeps it minor until the major key resolves, akin to Daft Punks - NightVision or Something About Us. All four songs follow the 4 chord progression and all are beautiful - but yeah...that's borrowed work. Like my borrowed work here DJ xSUBn - ua-cam.com/video/R2CmfkQL5rI/v-deo.html

@@idek2069 Probably lol. You ever hear about that experiment with the electric shock about boredom? It's crazy. People were forced to sit in an empty room for 15 minutes and all they had to keep intertained was a button that when pressed would shock them. Almost half of them shocked themselves. People literally made the distinction that the psychological pain was greater that the physiological and decided it was better to torture themselves then be bored. Now think about all the weapons of war built, or horrendous crimes committed or toxic ideas formed, probably born from boredom. You know, they say that once the gods got bored that's when they created humans.

“They’re are many monsters some that will not show themselves monster who aduct children monsters who devour dreams monsters who suck blood...and monsters who always tell lies lying monsters are a nuisance they are much more cunning than other monsters they pose as humans even though they have no understanding of the human heart they eat even though they never experienced hunger they study even though they have no interest in academic goals they seek friendship though they do not know how to love if i were to encounter such monster i would likely be eaten by it because i am that monster”
This is absolutely beautiful. It reminds me of the some of the work by Boards of Canada, which I am definitely not complaining about as BOC are definitely one of my favorite artists.
for some reason it does resemble suspiciously like turquoise hexagon sun from oddly the same creator, Boards of Canada. doesn't it?
agreed, was hoping I wasn't alone to have noticed that. the composer probably drew inspiration
Te Oxysoft probably, it had the same notes in the beginning, and the same beats if i'm correct. the original however didn't have beats and drums in the background, and maybe the guitar
i dont know honestly i just know it sounds similar
This song sampled the beginning of BoC's Turquoise Hexagon, but I love both of them !
They copied turquoise hexagon
Here i am at new years eve, just as promised
all yall needa stop being on this "im 14 and this is deep" wave lmao
How do you not have that many likes or replys like bro your a popular youtuber tf 💀
Bro expected this to pop off but got 13 likes 😭🙏
Through the darkest hours of the night
and through the dreamers realm I seek,
Far beyond the starry sky
and beyond galaxies I am free.
Through the grimmest memories
and past a seasons air I cannot breathe,
Far beyond this mortal world
in an afterlife we shall meet.
I don't know and I don't remember where I copied this from, I just saved this text and it was in the comments under a death note OST. I seriously loved this track, perfectly describes my life- No happiness, no sadness, No love, no hate.. tada no taikutsu.
It’s 2020 now god I miss this series it was so good I remember hearing this ost when I was in middle school and it’ll start raining I felt so in peace just watching the rain
I'm glad you like it ((:
wow... it's been 8 years. How are you man?
its been 8 years how is life going??
this is my favorite soundtrack out of all of them
Sure
Totally uncanny to turquoise hexagon sun.
A S H and L theme is from the Exorcist
yep its called, ripping off
I'm amazed that It took so long for me to come across this track. Such a soothing soundtrack and the edit is good.
I miss being in elementary school and watching death note for the first time. Its all so nostalgic now
this feels like a very specific moment in my life.
It’s been years I’ve haven’t watched death note and damn I really do miss this show
Perfect while studying (y)
The title means "boredom", so yes, very fitting
Gradual Decay exactly :D
Yes
And for sleep, i think..
8 years and Im still listening to this masterpiece 🌟
Can't get tired of it
You can hear the exact moment in the main melody line where they were like "Oh shit, we can't copy Turquoise Hexagon Sun note for note" and they just slightly change it up.
theyve probably never heard of that song, and i dont see why anyone would want to copy THAT of all things
I'm not saying this song is bad or anything like that, but to ignore its similarities with turquoise hexagon sun is stupid.
sorry i think i said that wrong, i totaly see the similaritys and you are completely right, i was just saying that maybe in japan they dont know that band idk you probably know way more about this than i do. sorry
I don't mind it, I think the world needs more songs that sound like Boards of Canada.
Jacob Frisenda Lmao
you are amazing dude. deathnote is my favorite anime. and this is my favorite theme. and you pulled off the extended cut perfectly. so well done haha this made my day
Why does this sound suspiciously a lot like BOC's Turquoise Hexagon Sun?
I think this was inspired by it, which is ok in my opinion.
+Rodin they don't sound that similar imo, boc has a better melody tbh
Lena Likes Cats BOC has a better melody, but this is *clearly* made by someone who has heard THS.
The Laughing Scout a lot of death note ost are from other songs...like L theme is for the Exorcist
When I grow up to be a cartoonist, in the episode of my cartoon that deals with a serious issue, this song will play.
Thanks Blameitonjorge
practice
cartoonists don't just draw well, they are like manga artists in the sense that they are storytellers as their primary occupation
focus on that
Montanacheif Returns: No copyright law in the universe is going to stop me!
Thanks death note when i heard it on his yt i was one with jorge
Cartoons are serious they have terrible music plus the style is weird
This song feels like a reality check for me.
Sometimes I just drift away. And somedays i wanna but I can't. I wish I could drift away forever
alex corpus so relatable 😁
Damn, that beat just hits the spot every single time...
Ive always liked the cold, and this song for some reason makes my skin feel cold. Like cold air softly moving around my body. Its calming.
Wow i like that interpretation and can relate
a little bit of boredom can be a dangerous thing..
So you're telling me it's dangerous that I'm always bored?
@@idek2069 Probably lol. You ever hear about that experiment with the electric shock about boredom? It's crazy. People were forced to sit in an empty room for 15 minutes and all they had to keep intertained was a button that when pressed would shock them. Almost half of them shocked themselves. People literally made the distinction that the psychological pain was greater that the physiological and decided it was better to torture themselves then be bored. Now think about all the weapons of war built, or horrendous crimes committed or toxic ideas formed, probably born from boredom. You know, they say that once the gods got bored that's when they created humans.
This is literally what Turquoise Hexagon Sun would have sounded like if released on Campfire Headphase instead of MHTRTC
wtf you're right. Cool observation, and good ear.
That is true lmao because CH was literally MHTRC but woth guitar
this song is so comforting
The only boredom i would never get bored of.
Time flies...
This song feels like, when you found out your favorite creator/inspiration or people you just respected turn out to be a bad person…a monster even
And you’re in constant in denial but you can’t help but accept it as the reality cause what they did happen…… and it hurt a lot of people…
Before I knew Death Note this was the blameitonjorge theme
There are many types of monsters in this world: Monsters who cause trouble without showing themselves, monsters who abduct children, monsters who devour dreams, monsters who suck blood... and, monsters who always tell lies. Lying monsters are a real nuisance: They are much more cunning than others. They pose as humans even though they have no understanding of the human heart; they eat even though they've never experienced hunger; they study even though they have no interest in academics; they seek friendship even though they do not know how to love. If I were to encounter such a monster, I would likely be eaten by it... because in truth, I am that monster.
- L
this reminds me so much of the first time i ever watched death note... man the nostalgia. that anime is the best i’ve ever watched, truly a work of art.
i wish this was the background music in my life
Thank you so much, I have been searching for this for ages, such a good track
I love the description for this video. Haha, it's true.
it hurts so much why tf i want to listen that 24/7 while trying so hard to not to cry and feel depressed because of it? there's something different about this song.
it also makes me super productive and motivated but normally depressed people can't really feel that. this one audio literally make me draw 5 things in 2 days after 6 months, helped me study and understand a subject which i couldn't for like a year. it's so powerful.
no joke, i wish i never watched death note or watch it after i become an adult. it touched me a lot. i don't think i'll ever be able to watch something that good, no, i'm sure about that. i'm not exaggerating, it's painful somehow, like they're not even real, nothing about the story is real. so that doesn't make any sense. i still can't help but feel that pain someone save me omg
i get it. if i could erase one series from my memory and watch it for the very first time again, it would definitely be death note. it’s almost as if i feel some sort of emptiness now that i’ve finished the series
Creepy
Why does this remind me of the past?
thats so true but i think of the bad in the past when i hear this
It's very inspired by Turquoise Hexagon Sun by Boards of Canada, a band which are known for their ability to evoke nostalgia.
William FitzGerald if you enjoy the feeling, explore vaporwave as a genera. Namely Cocaine Jesus.
I can’t believe your on of the oldest users to ever be on youtube
Are you still active till this day??
Blameitonjorge brought me here to this glorious music.
Damn, ScareTheater's got some good taste.
Holy fuck you gave me a wave of nostalgia i forgot about.
?
Nice lol. So good dude with the speech L gave about monsters too.
This is just perfectly done!
this was so ahead of its time
this gives me feels
I would not have been here if i weren't bored
Turquoise Hexagon Sun
Why do I see myself walking in my soon to be city when I move in 5 years or more at night?
This song is amazing
I heard this in "9 Episodes of Kids Shows That Dealt With Serious Issues | blameitonjorge" and thought it was a remix of Turquoise Hexagon Sun by Boards of Canada.
"There are many types of monsters in this world"
- L Lawliet
This is actually a deleted scene from deathnote where L chats with the children at the Monestry.
i wish it wasn't deleted. imagine creating the most ethereal and divine song in the world, put it just in one chapter and not publish the chapter.
When i listen to this i feel empty
It's like all your empty life holes became visible when this music play
this makes me feel nostalgic.
With super bass boosting and headphones, I feel my eye vibrating.
This soundtrack is completely a different emotion ......... An emotion which we never want to forget and........ remember. Because it's so nostalgic and calming; yet painful and depressing. It's neither sad nor happy ....... Its just boredom.
Hmm
Melancholy?
Just perfect..
Taikutsu... Boredom, it can either be the propeller for a great discovery that benefits humanity, or the opportunity for a dark mind to manifest its destructive power, even with the greatest of intentions...
I honestly cant remember this track playing on the show... sounds so chill though
mahalodst6 was only played in relight 2
+CANNED CA Which was Relight 2, so his statement wasn't wrong.
@@ImmaNort They were just telling them where it was from mr comment from 5 years ago that probably has no memory of this
@@peeterleht3393 6 years ago. Wow I wish it was 2015.
This is the kind of music I like to put on the background while I fall asleep. Nice chilled out stuff
Hear that this song sounded like and old song frome the 1990s, Boards of Canada - Turquoise Hexagon Sun
WOAH no kidding sounds JUST like it
Ah,I’m watching this now as a 14 year old kid and thinking about how the decades gonna end pretty soon, hopefully I’ll be back too comment again
I SWEAR THIS SONG IS SO UNDERATED I MEAN C'MON
It makes me cry...............
I mean just visualize light and L battling it out
Those two were my favourite(ARE)
nah its not underated, Boards of Canada have a huge following... oh wait
I remember when I first heard this in a blameitonjorge video. I became so attached to it. Just watched death note recently and a bit angry with myself for putting off watching it for so long.
