No, i would rather feel intensive pain and agony than boredom. Calling "boredom" simple pain would be a remarkable understatement. Boredom, is nothing short of hell itself.

Boredom is an unpleasant emotion that comes from a lack of stimulating/enjoyable/entertaining (whatever word you want to use really) things to do. It has absolutely nothing to do with how in tune you are with your surroundings.
I remember listening to this a lot when I was going through tough times more than year ago, listening to it now gives me a weird nostalgia, I don't miss the sadness, but despite the sadness I felt at the time, I can't deny that some of those lonely, quiet nights were some of the best in my whole life, seems hard to get those now, perhaps tonight I'll turn this on and take a lonely walk through my neighborhood and just sink deep into thought, bring back some of that peaceful loneliness

I always loved this song! It was featured in 'Top episodes of kid shows that dealt with serious topics'. It sounded really sad and depressing (which is the theme for the video) but it's moving in a way and reminds me how important it is to raise awareness to children and make them understand about these kind of topics and how they can help. Never knew this was from Death Note!

People were forced to sit in an empty room for 15 minutes and all they had to keep intertained was a button that when pressed would shock them. Almost half of them shocked themselves. People literally made the distinction that the psychological pain was greater that the physiological and decided it was better to torture themselves then be bored. Now think about all the weapons of war built, or horrendous crimes committed or toxic ideas formed, probably born from boredom. A true battle of wits - L knew all along that Light was Kira with his instinct, however, he could not found any evidence to prove him so. On the other hand, Light knew L was onto him, and so aimed to kill L because he is the one that was smart enough to discover there WAS actually a killer behind all those deaths, and because he annoyed Light with his smart games. He also knew that L was onto him and that he probably knew that he was Kira, but had to get rid of him or eventually, he would find evidence of it. And so, even in death, L won.

The song is more of a journey through some pain that all humans go through and we can never find the time to give the issue its just desserts. There's so much beautiful pain in this world and I say that because us as life-forms are able to replay ours or someone else's ballad throughout our head when listening to songs and reading things just like this. The best part of this is its redeeming melody that makes you wish you were once again in infancy or in the womb. The warm low tune brings a rather pleasing sound that just makes me question what I've done and if I'd do it again. I feel even if you dont know the anime that this song should be heard by those who truly do contemplate life and wish to build something from this beautiful tune that they did not make from scratch but nonetheless is such a great one.

Yet, there is still this feeling that something is missing, life is incomplete, like there should be something else but you don't know what exactly. Maybe that's where something mystical or religious would fit in, but as someone pretty skeptical that is kinda hard to swallow. And maybe religions and philosophies were created for this, to fill this void, or maybe this void exists because you're not 100% in connection with the unknown. It's hard to distinguish. When this feeling becomes constant, happening way too often and stronger than it should, it becomes an active suffering, not that slight sentiment anymore but a present agony which was built over time and is now consuming. And when the fear of stagnation becomes greater than the fear of change is when the decisive moment happens. It's when people are confronted with their destiny that they realize the important things. It's the powerful side of boredom, when your will to do anything is reborn from the fear of inertia, with a background of anxiety mixed with self-anger. And the sudden realization that you will die some day, that there is nothing else to lose and it's now or never, will shape the way you deal with things. So why not risk something new? Something you've never done before? Something more intense? That is the only way to end the constant boredom, the risk.
Great hypotheses. I have a different view for this. I wish to surpass this feeling of boredom by not escaping through distractions. This emptiness should consume me that eventually, i forcefully have to do something to escape it. Thats how i handle social anxiety. I dont want to go out but when i keep staying at home doing nothing, my subconscious forces me to leave home and do something. Thats how i may also overcome my other addictions. I always loved this song! It was featured in 'Top episodes of kid shows that dealt with serious topics'. It sounded really sad and depressing (which is the theme for the video) but it's moving in a way and reminds me how important it is to raise awareness to children and make them understand about these kind of topics and how they can help.

In the case of BOC the third chord progression from the chorus mixes a minor and major key together, while the Death Note actually purifies it and keeps it minor until the major key resolves, akin to Daft Punks - NightVision or Something About Us. People were forced to sit in an empty room for 15 minutes and all they had to keep intertained was a button that when pressed would shock them. Almost half of them shocked themselves. People literally made the distinction that the psychological pain was greater that the physiological and decided it was better to torture themselves then be bored. Now think about all the weapons of war built, or horrendous crimes committed or toxic ideas formed, probably born from boredom. He also knew that L was onto him and that he probably knew that he was Kira, but had to get rid of him or eventually, he would find evidence of it.
And so, even in death, L won.

"why would they want to copy that" maybe because that Boards of Canada album is one of the most famous electronic music albums ever. When i listen to this i feel empty
The song is more of a journey through some pain that all humans go through and we can never find the time to give the issue its just desserts. There's so much beautiful pain in this world and I say that because us as life-forms are able to replay ours or someone else's ballad throughout our head when listening to songs and reading things just like this. The best part of this is its redeeming melody that makes you wish you were once again in infancy or in the womb. The warm low tune brings a rather pleasing sound that just makes me question what I've done and if I'd do it again. I feel even if you dont know the anime that this song should be heard by those who truly do contemplate life and wish to build something from this beautiful tune that they did not make from scratch but nonetheless is such a great one.

it also makes me super productive and motivated but normally depressed people can't really feel that. this one audio literally make me draw 5 things in 2 days after 6 months, helped me study and understand a subject which i couldn't for like a year. it's so powerful.

Boredom. That feeling of emptiness. Not the boredom of having nothing to do, these days unless you live somewhere there is no internet connection you have plenty of things you could do. Yet, there is still this feeling that something is missing, life is incomplete, like there should be something else but you don't know what exactly. Maybe that's where something mystical or religious would fit in, but as someone pretty skeptical that is kinda hard to swallow. And maybe religions and philosophies were created for this, to fill this void, or maybe this void exists because you're not 100% in connection with the unknown. It's hard to distinguish. When this feeling becomes constant, happening way too often and stronger than it should, it becomes an active suffering, not that slight sentiment anymore but a present agony which was built over time and is now consuming. And when the fear of stagnation becomes greater than the fear of change is when the decisive moment happens. It's when people are confronted with their destiny that they realize the important things. It's the powerful side of boredom, when your will to do anything is reborn from the fear of inertia, with a background of anxiety mixed with self-anger. And the sudden realization that you will die some day, that there is nothing else to lose and it's now or never, will shape the way you deal with things. So why not risk something new? Something you've never done before? Something more intense? That is the only way to end the constant boredom, the risk.
Great hypotheses. I have a different view for this. I wish to surpass this feeling of boredom by not escaping through distractions. This emptiness should consume me that eventually, i forcefully have to do something to escape it. Thats how i handle social anxiety. I dont want to go out but when i keep staying at home doing nothing, my subconscious forces me to leave home and do something. Thats how i may also overcome my other addictions.
I think there lies a beautiful world beyond suffering. But its hard to reach there. Buddha probably reached it. Idk
