Before Qi35 vs Qi10 videos, PLEASE do a Qi35 vs Sim2 video. This is gen 4 for the carbon face and a lot of us aren't convinced yet they're better than titanium faces! Prove us wrong Al!
4:39 😂😂😂 the bubble driver/bottom lip comment slayed me! Honestly: love the look of this thing. Really missed out on the Qi10 because the Stealth 2+ has been great for me. Can only imagine that they’re getting things better dialed in with this generation.
This is so far, the finest looking driver I think I've seen. Especially when you put it up against the ugly sister of the Callaway Elyte which looks like a punched lettuce. This thing is FIRE! I don't ever get a new driver, currently got a G425 LST which I picked up for £140, but I am tempted by this!
I’ve seen 5 reviews similar to this one from a result perspective. These drivers are up to $850 here in Canada ($900 for the LS) with no real significant yardage gains seen in those reviews that would make me want to get one of these. They do look better than the previous drivers.
One of the reviews said the hosel is longer which would be a bit of a distance cheat that can cost accuracy. Also people seem to be more comfortable with the slider on the Qi10 vs the big weight move on the Q135.
@StephenCsaplar their drivers just haven't quite been up to par in the past. I play the zx7mkii combo'd with the zx5mkii. I absolutely love their irons (my irons). I can only hope the new driver will astonish us
I’m most excited about the moveable weight in the Taylormade. The ability to take spin off the core model is very interesting…. I think that is more important than draw/fade moveable weight.
I would love to see a video between QI 10, QI 35, Sim 2 and the Original Sim. The Original SIM stays in my bag because I have yet to find a driver that outperforms it still.
Been waiting for this just for the colour wave. Fitted through drivers last year with the Qi10 being the best but just couldn’t commit to buy due to the looks
Interesting spin numbers you were getting. Old mate Rick shiels was getting sub 2k spin and reckons it doesn’t spin high enough and the balls were falling out of the sky. And that was with the standard not with the LS model
Belated happy new year Al. Quick question on the last 2 driver reviews, how much improvement do you think the hack motion training has made to your numbers?
@@RohitRaghavendraGuruBakshi yeah. They always divide people on looks compared to some companies who play it much safer but their performance is always solid
You’d carry the sim2 or tsr over 320 yards consistently and hit it pretty straight, so the better players should just use those drivers. Not sure of the point of these? Maybe if you play on 10 yard wide fairways
Spin 1800rpm???? Carry 290, total 323. That is insane … No hate, but the prices, like all the new drivers, are also a little insane. $650. I’m about to pull the trigger on a set of Takomo 101s for $500. The tech, the research and development … I get it. But please don’t mind if I wait a few years and then pick it up used. My R1 is safe, for now.
You hit the Elyte better 🤔 The carry is down but low spin is getting run. The Elyte was about 10 yards longer carry with higher and more consistent spin numbers
@ we can only go off the numbers that are in the video and they have the q35 with higher swing speeds less carry (2 were over 300 with Elyte) and much more consistent spin numbers (none dropped below 2000 and none above 2500) the TM was around 292 carry with 2 below 1800 spin and going up to nearly 3000 There will have been more numbers no doubt but if you show more consistent and longer carry numbers on your video you can’t say I’m wrong for drawing that conclusion
@@alexetchesgolf He's right from the numbers you shared in the videos. Elyte was much more consistent in spin numbers and longer carry with similar total distance.
At least your honest it's not better .What's the point of watching a guy who has nice swing and hits ball a mile.People watching are mid to high handicappers.Carbon face sucks
Just think next years model will have the new Quantum computer chip in the head and we will be able to hit the ball into a black hole 🕳 somewhere in outer space 🪐
Sorry, Al, but you’ve hit some of the previous years drivers a lot further at the same clubhead speed. All these claims are a lot of hype, yes it looks good, but if you go back to when you reviewed, the Taylormade SIM, and SIM2, and even 2017 M1 Driver distance is going nowhere. On the dispersion claims are so minor only a robot would show up a difference not an average golfer. And for $950 taxes paid for a new driver in Canada? Not even if Hell freezes over. But the older drivers are better and a lot less money right now.
Fact: There’s no way you can come to any result without testing it on the day head to head! You can’t compare as I’m delivering the club so differently to the previous year! Like not even close
Oh yea another new driver and it's the greatest since they inventented the wheel. All this is another big company ripoff price and peanuts as a trade in .They companies are controlling what retailers can sell for ,not allowing retailers to sell as a discount or they if they do they lose their contract.Ugly top and sounds like hitting a sandbag at impact.Yea we know fellow everybody that is watching this ate near pros swing as well as you 🤣

Good request
Throw in an M2 into the comparison as well, as that is what I still have and use. Maybe time for an update?
2017 m1 as well
I need to know this too.
I have a Sim2 Max and am really leaning towards the QI35 but I need to see this.
The SIM2 was legit. The last TM driver I owned. This one looks awesome, but I had two friends whose carbon faces cracked/broke.
Yessss!! I was willing to wait MONTHS to watch your review first! Brilliant!
4:39 😂😂😂 the bubble driver/bottom lip comment slayed me! Honestly: love the look of this thing. Really missed out on the Qi10 because the Stealth 2+ has been great for me. Can only imagine that they’re getting things better dialed in with this generation.
Dude, love that’s you’re getting new releases early to test! Hopefully the big move and channel changes are paying off!
I love that the new drivers are finally released. Now I can go out and get a Ping G430 at a discount.

Love the look of the new range mate! Would be keen to see how the numbers compare against the SIM2 in a toe to toe 👍🏼
Looking forward to the Srixon ZXi driver release. Believe they have been released in OZ already. Will you be reviewing them?
They are very good, I’m a fitter in Brisbane and seen very good results for very different players.
Srixon are on the money for this year by all accounts
@ I currently play the zx4 MKII irons and love them. Hoping to add the ZXi driver to the bag once they are released in the UK.

I like the look of this , keen to test personally between this and the Cobra. Underwhelmed by the Callaway this year. Going by looks so far.
Your combo for the year with the triple diamond ball bombs my friend bombs
They look incredible

Can’t wait to test this years clubs out. In the market for a new driver
Been waiting for this just for the colour wave. Fitted through drivers last year with the Qi10 being the best but just couldn’t commit to buy due to the looks
You're such a bomber Alex, I don't think any of the other tubers bomb it as far as you. 😅
Bunkered
Want one but waiting to compare this to the designer gloss black version since I loved the qi10 look
I love my Ai Smoke TD Max, but damn, this thing looks good. I don't need it, I don't need it, I don't need it. Lol

@@bennyram7193 certainly a couple
Of drop offs under 1800.
I'd love to see you take this out on the course and show us some real world scenario numbers
Coming soon!
Curious what shaft you tested it with. Thx
I'm waiting for the Qi9000
Al when you did your sim 2 video you carried it 321 yrd total 353yrd
this based on past taylormade vids is shorter but more forgiving. think this has more to do with the shaft also
Beautiful driver
Bang!!! Here is the club to beat in 2025
He hit the Elyte better.
10 yards longer carry longer carry with more spin.
sooooo the Cobra Darkspeed...got it
It’s also Dark yeah but that’s where the similarities stop
Yet.... They all go the same distance. I'll keep my stealth 2 Plus and save my money. It's an incredible Driver!!!!!!
Belated happy new year Al. Quick question on the last 2 driver reviews, how much improvement do you think the hack motion training has made to your numbers?
Huge with consistency and face control but I’ve dialled the speed back which I’m focusing on bringing back this year 👍
@@alexetchesgolfgood stuff. Swing looks really controlled and results were amazing. Thanks for your content, always enjoy it!
Underwhelming smash factors. The one you caught spun 2800...lol. We are maxed out folks. Appreciate the testing tho!
Q35 is an infinity car!
This dude hits it a mile
Full carbon crown looks good, colour is a bit dull and apart from LS the head shape isnt my bag
Spin on the core model ? Wow
Definitely looking good but callaway drivers are hotter whatever they may look and their low spin is easier to hit
@@RohitRaghavendraGuruBakshi yeah. They always divide people on looks compared to some companies who play it much safer but their performance is always solid
Rick said they were low spinning the max and the one other than the LS
For him probably 👍
Posted QI10 looked 💩, last year, QI35 looks 🔥🔥🔥!
Karen here. 😂😂🤣🤣🤣Not . Can't wait for the new Ping. ❤❤
When does it stop? 20 years ago, they claimed they couldn't make drivers any better because of RNA and USGA rules.

Qi35 for 5 heads but only 4 at launch?
You hit the Elyte better 🤔

Was the weight forward or back?
It was back for the whole video. I did mention that but I didn’t include that part 🤦♂️
Let me guess, barber is still on vacation?
Alex you’re looking like Mr Glass from Unbreakable.
I suspect they are trying to mess with Ping's G35 launch... 'cos the 430 kicked their ass...
You mean G440
Wilson Staff Carbon is coming....... 2025
BIG Alex is looking like SKINNY Alex....total distance gonna start dropping.... :D
Noooooooooo speed back baby
@@alexetchesgolf YES! ba'BOOM!

I'd rather buy the Cobra ltd x new for like $200, and it will destroy this lol.
Brenda will be lonely without a visit
Hey your exaggerating ,how many people watching can relate to your yardage.😅

Sounds like a empty bin
Sexiest driver ever made
Soon drivers are going to cost 1000 dollars 😢😂 might as well switch over to fucking sticks 😂
