I may be old and boring, but watching how you and your crew do your complex, precise, shouldn't-be-possible work never gets old, never gets boring. As a 78 y/o woman, my friends tease me about my guy-watching addiction, calling your channel 'Men Working Porn'. Guilty as charged!
I've said it before here, that it is nice to see concrete perfectionists still out there doing amazing work for their customers! Thank you guys for doing the great work you do, not only with the big things, but also the little things!!
Your measurement for volume would be easy to measure the outer circle radius, calculate the area of the outer circle (3.1415*radius squared) and subtract the area of the inside circle then multiple by the thickness. Or if you have the perimeter or circumference of the circles since you used lengths of boards curved around, the area is the circumference squared divided by 4 times 3.1415.
That center jointer board was brilliant and simple. The view from the third floor was sweet. I just love your expansion joints w the picture frame look. That looks to be a long driveway, I wonder if that will be concrete as well. Yeah, I can't wait to see the connecting pour. That's going to be one heck of a beautiful estate when all is finished. I believe you have a little of my luck, Tom. Big long trailer, bad muddy ground, it's understandable. I got home yesterday, thankful that the rain had stopped. The sun was even out. I got everything together, put my phone in my left front pocket, and got out of my truck and went inside. I brought food w me. Just before I finished eating, it started raining. I cleaned up, sat back down, and went to grab my phone to set it on the charging pad. No phone! Crap! I left it in my truck, no, I put it in my pocket! I took off out to the driveway, and there it lay, on the ground in the rain! 15 minutes later, it was on the pad w a screeching tornado warning sounding out loudly, and the rain really started to hammer down. I stopped being angry that my phone denied all physics, falling out of my pocket, and being thankful I thought of it before the storm. No tornado, but it was a strong storm. That's my typical luck. Some touch-up paint, and no one will be able to tell you creamed Steve's new truck. Lol. That's funny! Thanks for sharing that and the awesome pour today! 👍❤️🙏🇺🇸🇺🇸
Beautiful work! One of the biggest pours i've seen you do. And it'll last a long time since you do such a good job with reinforcement. Nice going, boys.
Unbelievable craftsmen at work. Your customers sure get their money’s worth. When I win the lottery, I will bring you to East Tennessee to clean up what passes for professional concrete work here.
Never seen anyone figure out concrete like that. I would take the full circle volume and minus the center area. As for the radius edger it was a great idea. Should get the center person to stay off to the side. Then the outside person could use the center pin to stay square to the form.
That center cut was very smart I had to do the same at a new high school with four cuts so we formed it all poured one skipped one pour the next came back the next day and poured the other two.
Day oner here! I have enjoyed watching your content seems the first video, I appreciate you and your crew. Good luck on the season and hope ya'll stay healthy!
That looked really nice Tom. On top of the many hats y0u wear, i will have to add inventor as well, that edger, jointer worked fantastic, it looks like it was laid out with a laser. You might be on to something, make a light weight aluminum "board" you can attach tools and change the radius with wingnuts and such. Do not know if there is a call for that type tool, and if it would be used a lot. Great job, Steve get over the scratch on his new truck yet? Well at least he will always know he did not put the first scratch on his truck :) The upstairs look was amazing, the home owner should be well pleased with it.
At least running that center joint like you did, it would get the rocks down and make it easier when it set up a little. Nice job! That will be a nice one for the scrapbook.
Tom that center joint looks great. I like the way you set up the deep jointer with the edger. Tom have you guys always used the crushed rock under your concrete slabs? We used aggregate base with fines in it and would viber plate to compact. Now my friend did a slab and they used the crushed rock. In all my years it was compacted AB. They told me now the theory is to allow the water to get through the rock. Boy I wish you were close to me as I would love to have you guys do all my concrete in my front and rear yard. Always impressed watching you and your crew. I like to see how things where you live are done compared to the way they do it here. Have a great weekend. Can't wait to see the entire project finished.
So much fun watchign you guys for some reason. You come up with some ingenious ways of doing things. Question, why not do the connecting driveway before or at the same time as the circle???
That center cut took some cordination between outside and inside person. Could have gotten into a big argument, 'you're to fast", "no, you're to slow"😂
He took care of that right off the bat, he said you go and I’ll keep up with you. It looked like being on the outside, it was easier walking and he wasn’t having to keep the edger against the form.
A little touch up and the truck might be okay. I would take that house on 200 acres, way in the center of the property with a winding treed driveway, not asking too much. Also a nice big outdoor building
Idk Tom. I think you should charge Steve whatever it costs to repair the damage. After all if he hadn’t parked so close to where you wanted to park, it never would have happened lol. Governor’s circle looks very nice 👍
How much do you think it took to build this home? Out of curiousity. I'm nearing retirement and am interested in having a new home built somewhere down south. I'm in NYC currently.
+ Nicely done , could be more complicated but easier and precise ; (1) use three tools ; one in the middle and two at the edges ; inside and outside the circle , (2) using two pieces of 2x4 shaped like a T and nailed up at each end so you don't have to kneel down but doing it standing up also enabling you to put 2 guys on each end and 2 pieces of tools on each end instead of one to keep it leveled , (3) Still have to tie it to the center ; it doesn’t have to be lumber but you can use a robe ; 2 pieces ; tied up to a piece of reinforcing bar in the center of the circle ; one at the bottom say 6” from the ground and the other say 2’ or 3’ feet up to keep it leveled . Overkill …!!
+ First run is just scoring the 3 cuts; say half an inch all the way around in a minuet or so ; then a second run going a bit deeper …… and so on !! So you would have these 4 suckers running after each others in circles for a while !! 🥴😜🤣
You have a center point. Why would you not do measurements off of that and do the calculations? Same for the center cut. Run a board or pipe off the center and just go around???
I would think because of the geometry your best bet would be to attach the board to the center post and then just move around the circle and cut line will be perpendicular all the way around .perfect 😊😊

Was going a say the same thing. Watching them get the tape measure out and walking it all the way round made me laugh

Great job, guys. You all (ya'll) work together so well.
Beautiful work! One of the biggest pours i've seen you do. And it'll last a long time since you do such a good job with reinforcement. Nice going, boys.

You have done a circle drive before and I knew you could do what ever it took to make it look great and you and the crew did it again, great pour.
Very slick way of getting your cut done. Very nice circle. Beautiful home with some nice concrete driving area.
Super project. You guys are the best. Unbelievable!
Awesome Video and Much Love as Always!!!
Thanks again!
That was some amazing work, Haus. I learn things every time that I watch a video ❤
Looks beautiful, I can't wait to see it completed! Nice work!
Excellent work 👍 Any time you have to work with a curve it can go sideways but you pulled it off beautifully.
Absolutely amazing pour, basically a masterpiece in concrete 👌 🙌.
Wow, thank you!

Nice job Tom. Very clever idea with the edger/joiner board. Looks like there's a patent on the works. Stay safe.
What a great job the circle is one thing but the level and grade is amazing. Great that you have your audio repaired. Thanks.
You guys are amazing. So much talent. Dave
PIE R Squared is distance around the circle. Pie is 3.14. Radius x 2 x 3.14
Day oner here! I have enjoyed watching your content seems the first video, I appreciate you and your crew. Good luck on the season and hope ya'll stay healthy!
Not bad at all boys, good job as always! 😊
Thanks! 😊
Love your jig! Excellent 👍
You make it look easy. Nice!
Wow! You really tore his truck up! Lol Seriously thanks for the video from a disabled country boy rough day with this wind
He was mad
Another great job!
Great idea on the circle jointer, impressive pour.
Man you guys are GOOD!!!

Looks stunning 👌
...................WOW!
Tom you and your crew are hard workers
That is awesome. You guys are top notch.
Great video! Rain for us too !
Good job guys

Another great video love your attention to detail awesome job guys 👍👍
omg that looks amazing.loved your idea for cutting the center grove

That is our thinking if you use the fines, it holds the water and thank you very much
Love your videos man!
Glad you like them!
Fantastic!!!!! Well done Guys 👍👏👏👏
Need to work off of the center of the circle. A pipe with edge and grovers welded on it world work perfect.
Looks good to me, the eclipse came right over my place, was dark here
GOOOOOOD
MAAAAAAAAWNIN

HAPPY TGIF EVERYONE
Another amazing pour. It came out great! Thanks for sharing
Have a day
It's a bagel drive!
Perfect racetrack for roller skates and tricycles
awesome work!
So much fun watchign you guys for some reason. You come up with some ingenious ways of doing things. Question, why not do the connecting driveway before or at the same time as the circle???
Another nice job👍🏻
Great job
Great looking drive. Wonder what the homeowner's going to put in the middle.
LOVE YOUR VIDEOS, GREAT TECHNIQUE I LEARNED SOMETHING NEW TODAY
I wish could have come up there for5 that I family around Akron live in Fl.
Tom and crew another excellent piece of work also video 😮😊❤
4:25 "Back to work!" Mike Patey
That center cut took some cordination between outside and inside person. Could have gotten into a big argument, 'you're to fast", "no, you're to slow"😂
He took care of that right off the bat, he said you go and I’ll keep up with you. It looked like being on the outside, it was easier walking and he wasn’t having to keep the edger against the form.
Tom buys the truck, Tom gets to wreck the truck. 😂
Man what a house
Nice job as always Tom don’t hit that truck any more 🫣🫣🇬🇧🇬🇧🇺🇸🇺🇸👍👍👍
why not just calculate area of the outer circle then subtract the area of the inner circle from that?
Very nice Tom!
So impressed (you didnt wreck Steves truck worse than it is). That driveway was very impressive. Boys never doubt dad step measuring system.
Nice job
Thanks!
Cool! Nice work!
Maybe I'm just too fancy, but I'd like to see a circle like that done with exposed aggregate and a red brick border.
Have to bust on you....Thats called a fender( left front)
Quarter means rear...Hope that helps!
Love your channel...Your work is awesome!
Lol could of been quicker Tom your humor is good. Enjoy you and the crew on the videos.
A little touch up and the truck might be okay. I would take that house on 200 acres, way in the center of the property with a winding treed driveway, not asking too much. Also a nice big outdoor building
hello what mix do you like for your exterior pours
4000 limestone with fiber
This is what they call Something Happens!.Opps!. You should maybe get a patent on this kind of tool.
Idk Tom. I think you should charge Steve whatever it costs to repair the damage. After all if he hadn’t parked so close to where you wanted to park, it never would have happened lol. Governor’s circle looks very nice 👍
Tom, maybe you can hire Mike Morgan to spread stone for you when the job site is muddy. He hates mud and when he finds it, he puts stone on it!
cha ching great job
Yall boys do a pretty good job where are you from?
They're in Pennsylvania.
Genius……🎉
Steve should take better care of his brand new truck. 😂
How much do you think it took to build this home? Out of curiousity. I'm nearing retirement and am interested in having a new home built somewhere down south. I'm in NYC currently.
Not important if you're not going to build there
@@daveklein2826 Thats why im asking, because I would possibly consider it.
Time to name these tools you make for these pii cutters, pun intended
The reason we cant have nice things...
Good morning to you all

Good thing it wasn't Steve thate did it!!!!! 🤣
Jim works as hard as the younger crew members. Im 65 , are Jim and close in age?
I'm confused about the measuring. Why didn't you just measure the radii and do the math?
Hola buenas saludos
Low greetings to you
You have a center point. Why would you not do measurements off of that and do the calculations? Same for the center cut. Run a board or pipe off the center and just go around???
I'm not so miserable but I'm working on cantankerous

Are you guys cavemen ? , get a measuring wheel.
❤👍

Time to delegate the skid duty to the next generation? I know you like your skills n speed but there has to be transition at some point
