We had some heavy rains during our week and the fishing was not as good as we had hoped. But it was still a great week to spend time outdoors and fishing the northern rivers of Finland.

Kippis from New Zealand! Lovely piece of your family history, thank you for sharing it with us. I had a wonderful few summer weeks in Finland about 5 years ago. No fly or river fishing, but I did catch a lake Pike on a Rapala. Like a dream from a boyhood catalog. And the upside down tree in the foreground at 3’19”? “Planted” one the same at my friend’s cottage at Pilavesi. You have a beautiful, straightforward country.
