Thank you for coming over and helping me. All the new connections are ordered and will be here in 2-3 weeks. I will make a video when all is done and send it to you 👍
That’s strange. I’ve gotten the opposite recommendation from a couple of plumbers lol. In their view twisting the pipe can create small separations in the glue where water can make its way through. You can never do anything right 😂
@@viking_reefing lmao, sorta makes sense with your method, but the pvc with primer melts together.. too tight of a bond for air. I guess opinions are like aholes, everyone has one!
Nice build. It's like a smaller version of what I have, I have the ghost overflow and a royal exclusiv sump and filter roller. My only suggestion for the overflow box is to try and support the three drains with pipe clamps to take the weight off the bulkheads going through the tank from the overflow box, I spoke to a guy in the States who cracked the bulkhead due to the weight of the drains being too long before being supported. Enjoying your content as always.
One thing that would be extremely helpful for me and other viewers who are upgrading or planning a new tank would be to see the cable/outlet management as well as what is behind controller boards. This is because in my new tank I am making a controller board but I’m not sure where the plugs will go behind them or how people mount their controllers.
Just to let you guys know, the Red Dragon Eco 5 Controllers will not fit/mount into that controller mount on that Dreambox without modification. The controller mount currently mounted on that sump is fitted for the RD3 50/60w and/or the 150/230w controllers. You will have to tap new holes for the Eco 5 Controller and cut out a square in the middle as the Eco 5 controllers are not flat/flush in the back as they have a hint sink that protrudes in the rear. I'll DM you some photos and info on R2R if you are interested on how I modified mine. Super clean.
Very nice... who made the tank...?

Any time! Was a fun day
A really good job, wonderful cat 🐈
Thanks man. He’s got two. Both very friendly :)
Beauty, one recommendation from a plumber to me. Always twist the pipe when you glue it into the female end. Creates a better bond.

I have always used the twist method and have never had a leak. I suppose the twist is an unnecessary step.
@@mdb6402 as have I in the past. Never had an issue with either really

I’m so darn jealous of the dream box sump…perhaps if I’m a good boy Santa will bring me one 🤣
I’ll definitely let him know that!
Thumbs up for cat
They are 2 but one was camera shy 😅
Good man 😂
Very neat sump!
Only thing I would be afraid of with the covers is that water would go everywhere in case the skimmer would overflow.
Good point. I believe he’s putting in an auto shut off on the skimmer though :)
Dude, you're the BEST.
Hahaha I don’t know about that
Awesome!!! Can't wait to get into it
Should be a sweet system when it’s up and running

Update on this tank? Can't wait to see how it turns out!
It’s cycling as we speak :)
That's a big boy tank!
Indeed…and now I need one who’s bigger than that

That’s very interesting. Please do and I’ll forward them to him! Very kind of you.
Let us know how his journey goes
Will definitely do that!
