When Angel got up that morning he said "Today is a great day to move some drugs and run around in a cool stolen car." He didn't think the law of unintended consequences applied to him. He was wrong. Minus 20 points for driving on the grass and endangering innocent lives.
How many times did that thief ignore commands to stop running, put your hands up, get out of the car? Please, it was a suicide. The law abidding pedestrian got down and remained safe. It's called stop running. Listen to commands. Get on the ground, put your hands out so they can see you don't have a weapon. Let's see you stand out in the open, chase down a theif and try to apprehend while he's getting in a stollen car and your on foot! You don't want shot down,? Live an honest life, turn to God, be a volunteer , something better than being a criminal. If that kid were living his life straight, he would not have had the run in to begin with.
I can’t imagine being in a car one second thinking I’m in some GTA simulator then the next second feeling hot and oppressed. Grateful the woman, her dog and the officers were ok.
While I agree they should released unedited video, tampering with evidence only applies to evidence used in a court, not a video on UA-cam. There is no law for the police to release the footage and they do so as a courtesy to build trust with the community. Which is why I prefer unedited footage. But to say it’s illegal is far fetched.
@@gabbybaptist2 go to 1:44 on vid, its on footage of the wheel turning the complete opposite direction of the cops showing his intentions weren’t to run over anyone, if they were the wheels would’ve been turned towards the officers?
@@gabbybaptist2 2:23 on video, the driver could’ve easily ran over the first officer if he intended to, but like i said before the wheels are in the opposite direction showing those weren’t his intentions.
@Codeinemyheart did he intent to have a stolen car? Actions have consequences, first if he wouln't have stolen the vehicle and try to run i'm sure he would still be alive. Pretty common sense. Enough with this criminals getting to do what they want and getting very little to no punishment
This was a unjustifed shooting. The vehicle had turned away from the officers, and was actually driving away from them when they shot. I understand I was not there, but the officers could have used restraint, but they did not. At the moment of them shooting, their lives were not in immediate threat of death or serious bodily injury because the vehicle turned away from them, and by shooting they potentially put the woman w/dog in more danger by now having a uncontrolled car. I suspect that the driver had not just prior to being shot commited a felony that included death or serious bodily injury (Gardner vs Tennesse) or at least SAPD officers did not have probable cause of such a crime, as they were investigating a suspected car theft. So I ask why did the Officer's shoot? Was it because they suspected it was a stolen car; was it because the driver had previosuly killed someone or seriously injured someone; or did the officer really believe that their lives were in danger even though the car turned away from them and the woman with dog? The sanctity of life must be preserved which includes the officers and even criminal if the criminal's action does not justify shooting them. Shooting anyone to preserve property-and yes a car, is just out right silly, unless your life is in danger as a result of that theft, and it did not appear the officers lives were in danger, as they were not in the path of danger when they shot. On the surface, without any other information to go on other than the video, I would say the Officer's action of using deadly force is unjustified, and we cannot allow cowboys who think they are in the wild West to operate with impunity. I am not saying that I support criminals, because I do not. I do not, nor should anyone else, support Police Officers who use an excessive level of force including deadly force in any situation. I support law enforcement in general, but not Cowboys who are eager to shoot their weapons even though the situation may not warrant it. Replies, good, bad, or indifferent are welcomed.

Once again, the only thing of value lost was the car damage and grass.
Price to pay to play the game.

Dude riding striker but was popping it like he was having it , shouldn’t have dug his own grave 🕊️🕊️
There sure are a lot of people defending a criminal.
Who cares about the criminal?
cops said he drove at them but it looks like he was driving away, if the cops missed they would have shot a dog walker in the distance

Justified. Like my comment
I see a lawsuit against sapd
By who?
What about the other calls that has the san antonio police department doing fraud
Why are you deleting my comments for saying nice things
Stupid is as stupid does.
How would you feel if this was your child ?
mom raised me better than that
Like a failed parent
Sapd with gangster tattoos
Good job SAPD 💯💪
Went towards the police I missed that on this video it look like he was running from the police
A car is a deadly weapon…don’t charge police with a deadly weapon and you won’t be dead. Simple.
Really simple
exactly his wheel was turned
Edited video footage needs to be considered tampering with evidence.
Duhhhhh.... however the raw video is what is submitted as evidence no this!
No

Murder. Car was nowhere near from hitting the officers nor the civilian. SMH.
So why is he driving on the grass??

Shot a person for running away.????..
not justified

To defend life and property, deadly force is authorized.
