Why did Simon think she didn’t like him?? That made ZERO sense. 1.) She kissed him in the garden, and they legit had a make-out session. Bear in mind THIS WAS HER FIRST KISS. And he knows that. 2.) They had that holding hands moment at the gallery. 3.) She was always following him around & felt devastated and rejected when he said “they were never friends” (which was an asshole move in his part btw)
Actually it does make kind of sense that Simon thinks Daphne didn't like him. I think he was questioning her feelings. First his father, his only parent, was pretending he was dead and he was ashamed of his own son for a stupid reason so he grew up with the idea he was not worthy of love. It's very hard to believe that someone could and would have feelings for you when your whole life you were undervalued. Third, when you are a virgin virgin it is often to make mistakes, to actually make your mind do you really like this person, or it's just an attraction, friendship and so on. At least from my experience it's very hard to believe in yourself you are worthy of someone's love and one you truly like, can find you attractive for your mind and body and claim you the one for them and reciprocate your feelings for them. It took me almost 1 1/2yrs to believe my boyfriend really do love me, so I get him
Well in the duel episode he told Daphne how he can't have kids, he knew Daphne wanted children more than anything. So when Daphne announced she will marry him, he probably thought she is doing so because she kinda has no choice considering someone saw them make out and the possibility of the type of scandal it could cause. And also because he can't have kids with her he thought it will only make their marriage worse as she will be miserable as she's unable to have her biggest wishes in life. He might not have thought that she's doing it because she loves him but rather because she's trying to save herself and her family from embarassment. And also his father's abuse as well as his previous speech empairment definitely doesn't help with his self esteem even if no one knew about it.
@@notinterestedd yes, in my country we have this phrase "you put yourself in the movie" or filmar/movieman, which means you bring yourself into the drama and you make the the movie/drama yourself and I think this sums up his character and also...men..
Hilarious! Daphne was so cheeky and the fact that she could hang with him intellectually is dope being she was probably 17-19 and him royalty and closer to 30 that’s impressive Kudos to Lady Bridgerton well played 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
