Hearing 4 years was a real shock! Time does fly when you are watching someone partying their butt off! Absolutely incredible. This is one of the most incredible journeys I've ever been on and I'm just watching!
Speaking of bottom paint.. have you ever heard of adding chili powder to your paint.. I read about it in an article in Yachting World editorial section. There was no follow-up unfortunately. Love you guys. Cheerio Jon
@@WindedVoyage I'll Alex. I'm more interested now to see the problems of sailing in Cape Verde. I have just bought a boat of the same size of yours; but, I don't know how to sail, so next week I start my first course here in Tenerife. Now it's anchored in the port of Santa Cruz, but it sucks there, as you know... :)
@@paulsangiovanni7216 Santa Cruz is alright. I sailed out of there for afternoon sails many times. There is a cool anchorage just a few miles north where I've been several times. Just get out there and sail Paul. Us Santa Cruz is somewhat protected from the wind so you can have nice short sails there. Just go out ad much as you can to learn your boat and gain experience and confidence.
@@WindedVoyage Yeah Alex, I will sail in the Canary Islands as much I can, is 5 year now I have left London to live in Tenerife. Next week I will start my long journey of the RYA's courses, I will be engaged for 4-5 months of full time training at 95% in the sea. I think in a year I would be ready to sail like you in the Atlantic
It's been four years? It doesn't seem that long. 🤔 I've known you since before your first taste of "chocolate," and that was how many years ago? You still da man Alex!
Alex is a man who is generous with his time and resources while embracing the locals and his passion for sailing.
Many thanks Scott!

You're way too kind Chip. Glad to know you better. It'd be great to hang out with you. BTW, love your accent
@@WindedVoyage Hahahaha Hahahaha Hahahaha!

That's very interesting. Why not? Love to know more
MacGyver fix without a Victorinox. 🤣
Gotta do what we can
Wellcome back to Palmiera Alex, nice short trip. Enjoy Sal. Un saludo desde Tenerife.
Thanks. Was fun, but had a few problems at anchor. You'll see in the next episode.

Alex,
Very kind of you to transport this family to their flight connection. Should be running downwind on the return voyage, como no?
They paid our expenses etc. It was nice. And yes the way back was fast.
Hey i thought real sailors (Gentleman sailors) Never sail into the wind LOL You got there in one piece & looked like an enjoyable trip .
Me and Giani are no gentlemen sailors when we got to get somewhere
What is that favorite CV song called?
Lolass Pires, Gata Morena. Love that song. A Cabo Verde classic

It's been almost 4 years in Cabo Verde, yes. Gone by real fast. Must enjoy what time we got left.
I can't believe it .... 4 years ... what have I been doing with my life....
Time flies when you're having fun
