Towers are the main line of defense for both teams, attacking any non-neutral enemy that gets within their range. Both factions have all three lanes guarded by three towers each. Additionally, each faction's Ancient has two towers as well, resulting in a total of 11 towers per faction. This strategy is performed with Beastmaster, Nature's Prophet, Abaddon, Snapfire and Faceless Void.
Dota 2 is a multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) video game developed and published by Valve. Dota 2 is played in matches between two teams of five players, with each team occupying and defending their own separate base on the map. Each of the ten players independently controls a powerful character, known as a "hero", who all have unique abilities and differing styles of play. During a match, players collect experience points and items for their heroes to successfully defeat the opposing team's heroes in player versus player combat. A team wins by being the first to destroy the other team's "Ancient", a large structure located within their base.

Something similar that's famous back then is Roshan rush at the start then end the game by going all mid. Always with a Lone Druid, Abaddon and Witch Doctor, I think. It can easily backfire though if you can't end the game quickly, letting the enemy cores farm freely.

Liquid tried this a few years ago. The Liquid that is Nigma now. They also had an Abaddon lineup and tried to take mid t1 tower but the enemy defended. Pretty sure it was a tier 1 tournament as well.
It broke the whole laning phase for radiant. Mad lads.

I think that It would be a solid lose for them
Open ai is not immune from defeat. In a scenario where the other team is good enough, even if open ai makes all the correct moves possible in the universe, it will still lose. It's like expecting bringing a knife in a gun fight and expecting to win just cause the other person is more skilled
probably lose early advantage in one lane but they crush other lanes
a good call would be leaving your carry alone and pos5 goes top to harass enemy carry 3v2 offlaner and force their pos4 to tp top and make it 3v3 then your carry can solo 1v1 with their offlaner
even tho your carry lose much advantages in map control and farm early on but after a few levels your carry will catch up or surpass enemy carry since their carry will be under much more pressure (unless you don't feed him as 3 lol)

This game remember me old Navi when they played weird picks in dota 1.
Funny thing is that this is such a basic concept to formulate yet this only happened & got executed perfectly now, much more that it occurred in a pro scene. We were so conditioned to think in game that we should lane, secure runes, etc we forgot Dota is a game of possibilities.

i wouldn't say it was perfect. The abbadon obviously has no idea how tower aggro works and/or how to de-aggro and started laning phase with no health
Losing the so called "safe lane" tier 1 before even getting level 2 is such a blow to the said team's Pos 1. Lane is already lost without even a single teamfight lmao.

@@franchocou They have a year old video on their channel (about an Axe call), in-game name checks out. So either it's a long-con, a weird fan-obsession or, in fact, true. Now, whether he was the one to come up with the strat is another question. Considering he seems to be a stand-in for the team makes it less likely, but he's also a pos3, which is sort of the strategic centre of a team.

@@McJethroPovTee If the dire pos 4 just keeps pulling then they'll have a free lane. If the lane gets pushed then they control part of the jungle so the pos 3 can farm there while the lane is pushed to deep
@@McJethroPovTee it's hardly overextending if the enemy doesn't have a tower there and you take control over the highground & jungle.
@@McJethroPovTee You cant overextend when you have wards and control over their jungle. In this case you just trilane bot and keep making pulls. No hero is going to be able to lane against your team, it end in radiant having 2 lanes and dire 3.

I played as the doom. We swapped lanes, got a minor lead, but had a couple of feeds right before big timings and got our faces shoved in.
Definitely threw us off our game, which is what they needed to do after game 1.
I think a more interesting fix is to remove tp duration increase when tping to the same structure for the first minute

Ive actually seen this in pabs, when we were playing full party with my friends we lost against it and then tried to do the same thing. It was a long time ago, there was no snapfire in the game, but the strat was lit nonetheless. Didn’t think it still works, especially on the scene.

They should keep it, it's a legitimate strategy. It's not like they are using a bug or anything. They literally walked up to the tower and hit it. It's good to have variety and ways to throw off the other team.

Dota1, we were having a "face-off" after class, it was a 5v5.
Wanting to be spicy, I said, let's all go top. (practiced this strat the weekend beforehand)
Pushed 2 towers in like 3 minutes in. When the enemy team decided to defend, they usually got like 1-2 players... against 5, and so you know what happened next.
Laning phase after was a struggle, we were like lvl 2's and they were 5's... but ultimately, we won. Good ole dota 1 days.

Rather than making invulnerable they should make the tower be able to either be glyphed with a cool down restart on match start and or give people tp scrolls at start back
Or just invulnerable cause those things can cause people to lose it still which just ends the game. And in a non pro game. Getting people to respond is hard enough in the gale

I had this happen in my pup last night. We lost the game 30 mins in because our carry was underfarmed. This is a crazy strategy, but it worked. And it needs to stop.
