I’m not a lawyer but I was a correctional officer for 12 years. I’ve escorted plenty of inmates to court. Even I know this is illegal the judge and prosecutor cannot have. A conversation with a government witness without the defense lawyers present. The defense must have the same information given to them as the prosecution. If you noticed the judge didn’t deny it. He was upset he got exposed.

You're easily confused. The problem was that there is information vital to the case that was withheld from the council of the defendant that directly impacts his ability to properly defend him. There should have been a discovery of this information between the judge, the prosecutor and the council. Newsflash , just because a judge puts you in cuffs , that doesn't mean that you're a criminal in all cases. He was held in contempt of course because he demonstrated character by not revealing his source to the information. I hope this helps you make better evaluations in the future.
