Oh, dear sister, thank you for addressing this topic! We have so many sisters, especially in the African American community that have latched on to the "natural hair" movement. Is natural hair beautiful? Absolutely! However, so many misinterpret these verses and pass unrighteous judgement and lay heavy burdens on others. Ladies, nature teaches us all that it IS a shame to be shorn or shaven (bald or at masculine length). Our hair is our glory, so if it doesn't grow long and healthy it can be emotionally crushing and publicly humiliating. It should also be noted that, because our hair is our glory, we are instructed to cover our hair/glory when we come into the spiritual presence of God. That is a topic for another discussion, but, indeed, our hair is our glory. If you have long, natural, healthy hair, praise God! But do show some grace and humility to those of us who suffer medical conditions that affect hair growth. The issue is that MANY in our modern culture worship their hair. It is an idol, and this is demonstrated by the extravagance in style, color, cut, shape, broiding (ornaments) or other effect to call attention to it and to receive the adoration of others. This can be done with your natural hair, a wig, extensions, etc. Scripture is clear that idolaters will not inherit the kingdom of heaven. So, we must ask ourselves some very important questions when it comes to our own hairstyle: 1. Do I believe the scripture, as written, without any private (personal or other man-made) interpretation? 2. Do I want to follow Christ and honor Him with my body and spirit? 3. Do I appreciate the natural hair God has given me? 4. Do I keep my hair clean and as healthy as possible (through diet and care), apart from any "style?" 5. Does my hairstyle cause distraction or garner unnecessary attention from others? 6. Do I value my hairstyle above or equally with the necessities of life (food, shelter, clothing, etc.)? 7. Do I need to borrow money to maintain my hairstyle? 8. Do I frequently change my hairstyle for no reason or to coordinate with clothing, new fashion trends or other events? 9. Do I feel nervous, uncomfortable or ashamed while in public without my hairstyle? 10. Does my hairstyle restrict or limit my daily life, exercise or leisure activities? Answer these questions and examine your hearts, Ladies. Is your hair an idol? Do you need to repent and follow Christ? This should be our focus. I encourage us all to continue to groom and care for ourselves with modesty and as the Holy Spirit leads. He is here to convict and reprove us of sin. If you are being convicted about your hairstyle, heed the warning of the Spirit, not the voices of men. May God give us wisdom to adorn ourselves in a manner that pleases Him. Be Blessed!
I pray that God deliver many from fear , superstition, judgmental spirit, and religious spirit. Synthetic wigs are okay for those that want to wear it. It’s so sad so many people are making condemnation videos about wigs. Human hair wigs / weaves and blended hair is suspect because you don’t know exactly which donor or what kind of person had that on their head … dead or alive. But synthetic hair wigs are okay. 👍 thanks for video ❤
I have a very big large forhead like unnatural big alien and I loose alot of hair with both age and health sickness infection thyroid problems etc, and I want to please God, but I miss feeling like a woman with beautiful hair and feeling confident and happy going out without having to use a CAP to hide it it feels like I live in a prison i want to do hair transplant but its expensive i cant afford now when i also need to become debt free before i can take loan. I hope God sees my intention how much mental anxiety it causes me and not bc of vanity.. 🙏
Thank you for clarifying on this topic! Especially when it comes to broided hair because many people say it means braided or plaited hair? I notice in different Bible translations it say different words. I was not sure if we were not supposed to braid our hair.

@@Yeshua222love Awe sister this really touched my heart! Will be praying for you 🙏🏽 but like I said wearing wigs is not a sin, so pray about and if the Lord is okay with it don't worry about what others say! And remember beauty is vain but a woman who fears the Lord she shall be praised, so you are beautiful just by being a daughter of the King! Love ya 😘
