Lo (no D cuz he plays none) can GO!!! ... this is a perfect trade, I saw a vid on Wendell Carter Jr vs. Joker, Embiid, Giannis and he made them work for their numbers and shoot inefficiently. Add on his ability to shoot 3s + Davis HOPEFULLY 🤞🤞🤞 will have the legs to shoot them himself cuz he's not overworked on defense. GREAT TAKE JSM!!! 🔥🔥🔥

Do you really want to base our regular season success on someone we know will flake out when it matters, or build a team that is strong defensively AND can still space the floor (Wendell Carter Jr. = 37% 3pt) AND helps AD maintain health/reduces his burden on defense.... Davis' 3pt shot might actually return if he had the legs to shoot (and wasn't covering for TERRIBLE point of attack defense all game + banging with BIGS that outweigh him and wear him down)
Wendell Carter Jr might not be the BIG NAME you want, but go look up his defensive highlights - he does particularly well agaisnt Joker, Embiid, Giannis... and he can ALSO has some of the highest success when switching onto guards in screen and roll situations.
AD + Carter Jr would be versatile, and devastating defensively... 💯💯💯

@@schmitkeoriginals I like AR as PG, but he's vulnerable on dribbling due to being tall. Theoretically one could pair him with Gabe, so that Gabe dribbles past the half court, then gives it to AR, then AR distributes. But... I mean Dlo is reasonably cheap for pick'n'roll expert+3pt hot hand+mediocre defender. I'd rather give away Gabe+Rui than Dlo.

I feel like were too down on C Wood. Prior to him getting hurt, there was a point in the season where he played really well for the Lakers. I'd get rid of Hayes and upgrade that position for a shot blocking big.

@@javarzshinall9396 We do, but I'd rather they explore trading Hayes or Cam for a backup center (traditional). And dump the other. Wood can actually get boards, which we struggled with vs Denver.
Also, Hayes was a foul MACHINE.

I actually think, they should keep their guys. Most f them was not healthy. Now they have fresh young players. It's a good mix. For example : Cam Reddish, Gabe, Wood, Vanderbielt and Rui were not that bad when they was healthy. DLO was awesome. Why let go of DLo for Trae ?? Trae can't defend neither.
if WC jr is available...then yea, but Jonathan Issac is injury prone. Making WC jr needed still and I assume this trade would be for DLO + Filler player and 1FRP (might be a swap thrown in there too)
I wonder if we can land him with Gabe and a 1st. If so we can move Rui and dlo to the bench and make Vando the first one to sub in to relieve ad at the 6 minute mark and sub him back in towards the end of the 1st.
Dlo and Rui can sub in for either Reaves or Christie and bron.

Both Max's plays better man defense than prince. Not a downgrade from Prince to Christie imo. And, we have a new real Prince here in the P&G LOL
remember always what we are dealing out and getting back in, the production of DLo in regular season is good, we might not get back the same type of prod from other players.. "might" .. same with Rui, but it still depends on the actual deal and the players we are getting back in return ..
this is a good trade idea but knowing the magic they will want a first round pick to be able to accept this trade. Everyone wants the lakers to pay. Knowing the lakers they will be stuck running it back.
I like Johathan Issac more if you ask me. JI will only be eligible for trade after December ? WCS is a good choice too. Doubt Pelinka would be willing to attach FRP for this trade.

That’s not what I said nor meant. Let’s say they add a 5, move AD to the 4, and have Reaves + another guard in their lineup. Who’s defending the 6’7-6’9 scoring wings they’ll come across? You want one of their smaller guards to do that? But then if you throw Vando in their lineup they have 2 non 3pt shooters in he and AD. It’s a problem.

@@JSM24 I understand. That's why I am hoping for DFS and Cam Johnson. LeBron plays PG on offense, then plays PF on defense. The reason LeBron plays PF on defense is because Cam Johnson or DFS, (whoever is at PF), can defend guards. Once the Lakers get a PF that has size, can defend guards, and knock down threes, it will definitely work out. Also, 3 out the 4 final NBA teams last year didn't have large forwards. Most of the forwards were about 6'6" to 6'8". That is why Cam Johnson and DFS are perfect imo.

The Lakers need 2 way wings who can shoot the 3 more than anything else and D-lo can score at will basically. Both of which are the direction which the N.B.A is now trending with heavy offense and 3 point shooting and least defensive big type offenses and defenses.

With jj reddick being an elite shooter he can help guys like cam and vando to be respectable from 3 because they don’t need to be elite just respectable to where you can call them 3 and D players

Wendell carter is short. 6'10. I would not trust this guy to guard or score against Jokic. Look somewhere else. Valencunias was the ideal target. Lakers really dropped the ball letting him slip away.

Wendell Carter Jr did VERY well agaisnt Joker, Embiid and Giannis - he's EXTREMELY strong. I watched a vid about it... he doesn't block shots, just plays positional defense - which would allow AD, and even LBJ to provide helpside blocking shots. Carter Jr. 37% from 3 is icing on the cake.

Wouldn't be worth it. Ya'll need to stop acting like 3rd options that average 18 points per game on high volume efficient 3 point shooting and keep LeBron from being a point guard grow on trees for under 20 million. WCJr whom has already started falling off as a player and cannot stay healthy would not be an "even trade" for DLO. It would mean LeBron plays PG primarily again which would be a disaster and we lose our high volume 3 point shooting after we got a coach that wants to prioritize that.
This would be a move just to make a move, and in all honesty whatever WCJr gives us can be gotten from Christian Wood without giving up any assets. Maybe Wendell only has defensive effort over Wood, but not enough to think he'd make a significant difference in comparison if Wood is played to his potential, which is what Redick would be trying to do.
AR can easily play pg, Max is WAY better defensively than Lo (no D cuz he plays none).... Diangela = 39% career playoff fg (4 years of proof) and the worst defensive rating on the team... all you Lo fan boys need to realize he's 10ply 🧻🧻🧻
