Zakir ji's tirekitetaka technique around 34:30 is fantastic. I'm just observing this while playing the video on 0.25X speed. He is playing ti re using middle and index fingers respectively and then ta with middle and ring together. Looks like he's mixing the three finger tirekite of Farukhabad with that of Benaras. It really makes his tirekitetakas fluid and fast but crisp and full of strength. Anyone else observed this ?

Akash Ramachandran That is the Punjab nikas for playing tirakita. Check out Abbaji's tirakita. You will find the same fingering.
