The song was probably was written for We Stitch These Wounds, but there was legal fallout with Pan when he left the band, and as a result, some song names were changed, and it's not crazy to think that "This Prayer For You" was forced to be put away. I remember when all the drama of lineup changes came around and I was a little too ignorant to fully understand what was going on but I kind of had an inkling of what was going on. This song brings back those memories. The time when my 8 (or 9, I can't fully remember) year old self cried because my sister, who was the one who showed them to me, told me a member left. Then she told me "don't worry, they'll get someone new and make more music, then we'll keep on listening to them." One thing that I've always loved about BVB besides the guitars is that they've had awesome gang vocals from the very beginning of their career. They always struck a pleasant nerve in me.

Not gonna lie, the end guitars sound like straight out of an early 2000s emo band. The whole song has got so much Alkaline Trio influence it hurts. Pan the Gypsy is a musical genius, and well...he's a super nice guy too. I love the songs he wrote for BVB.
