- Here's a sight we don't get to see much nowadays. That familiar profile of a 747 - so recognisable even from 4 miles out on final approach to land....once such an everyday scene at Heathrow.
Here is 11 year old B-LJE - Cathay Pacific 747-8 operating CX007 from Dubai to Heathrow, on finals to land on Heathrow's 27 Left, preceded by a British Airways A319, G-EUPP, exactly twice the age of the "jumbo"; at 22 years old, operating BA 1487 from Glasgow. Enjoy!
747-400 is a beautiful plane...
