Impressive. Man you tournament guys take the live well stuff to another level. My livewell consist of a cooler, ice, and short trip to the frying pan lol. Keep up the good work.
Possibly the best livewell video on youtube. Question, the little thing that says, recirc, empty, auto. What is that purpose? Just making sure you use the red and white control inside the livewell and either push it in or out for recirc or aerate? What am i missing?
Water will only fill up the hose as deep as the boat sits in the water. This means if your boat is sitting 6" deep, water will only come up 6" in the overflow pipe. At least, that's my assumption. Its the only logical explanation since the overflow side is gravity fed
you should be able to modify you livewell to work with a flow rite setup but I wouldn't run it this way. go on flow rites site they have diagrams of how to set it up. You want to use there valve with a pump so you can just recirculate the same water constantly then you put ice packs in it along with juice to keep fish alive. I don't love how this guy set it up but it can be fixed
Thanks for making this video. Flow-rite does a very poor job of describing the parts needed and the installation of those parts. This video makes is very clear what is needed. I talked to Flow rite several times before I ordered my stuff and they NEVER mentioned the overflow part at all.
Nm because you will be up on plane and it will go out and release the ammonia water wehn you stop again it refills and recircs thats dope just wish i had room to do that unfortunately 20 gal gas tank in the way
I am seeking someone to install the Flow-Rite Premium Kit in my Excel Stalker. Looks like you Live in Ga. I live in Alpharetta. Do you know someone with solid experience in installation?
I know it's 3 years old but why wouldn't you recirc the chilled water back thru the chill box? you had is set up so that it was constantly bringing in warm water defeating the purpose because you will blow thru your ice and water will never really chill.
Is it the flowrite price or livewell price? There's a cheaper kit for flowrite, where you can source your own hosing and clamps. Shoot me a message on FB and I can get you there
not sure why you need the valve. every boat ive seen with these valves either leak or dont work properly. so you got the valve that lets you pump water in wich i get. or lets you pump water out wich i dont get just pull the tube. what do i mean by a tube. you install a tube into your drain thats the same hight as your overflow this lets you recirculate fresh water draining off bad water in 2 places. oh and the valve lets you recirculate the old water. why would you recirculate old water what threw a chiller. the fish live in the fresh water they only love the fresh water so the chiller is over thinking. ive been fishing for walleyes for over 30 plus years. realy all you need is enough water in your livewell that is insulated to support the amount of fish you are holding and a pump that will flow enough water for the amount of fish you are holding period. keep is simple.

You do great work. I've been a fan since the beginning. Your shop has come a long way!
I really do appreciate your support. We've just begun
Greetings from Liverpool UK 🇬🇧 just about to do something similar on my boat. This video has been very helpful thank you 👍
Nice! Let me know how it turns out!
Hi Dave, I’m Liverpool as well...have you manage to do your livewell? Any pointers ?
It’s amazing how much you can learn from our first boat mode lol, your doing an incredible job 👊👍
Thats the truth! Thanks for the support 👍👍
Good stuff as always man! I really enjoy watching and learning from your videos.
Thank you! I appreciate it.
Very thorough explanation and lots of good information 👍👍
Thank you Florida Jack! Time to get one in your boat!!! Haha
@@fireantfishing Currently a Red Solo Cup suffices for my bilge system 😂
Very smooth video awesome
Thank you Brad
Awesome, nicely done man!
thanks you did a great job on this video thanks
How far away can you put the pump from back of boat mine is a center console an bait well is around 10 ft from the back of boat
what does the auto feature do

good job explaining that!
Why would the big overflow from top of the livewell go below waterline in the transom?? I’m new to this plumbing stuff

How is it going to overflow with the fitting below the water line
Water will only come up as far as the waterline
I have an 87 bass tracker tx17. I was wondering if I can use this system with the original livewell. Thanks.
To be honest, im not 100% sure it is a direct replacement

At 5:53, doesn't it look like the hose to your pump out is cut about an inch away from the red clip retainer?
I think it looks like that bc I used the barbed (90 deg) fitting instead of the straight fitting
@@fireantfishing I learned a lot from your video. Thank you for taking the time to document.

Great video
Where are you located? Skills for hire? Thanks
Good job
So if the overflow is below the waterline how does the water get out in case of overflow
Nm because you will be up on plane and it will go out and release the ammonia water wehn you stop again it refills and recircs thats dope just wish i had room to do that unfortunately 20 gal gas tank in the way
The water in the overflow tube will only be as high as the waterline outside the boat, that is if you run the overflow to the transom
Seems as you guys all run them in the rear, would I have a problem running live well in front of the boat?
Depends on where you plan to put the valve. If pump is up front with 3way switch closer to transom you will need the green lever
how many feet of hose did you need to do that job?
Nice looking hose
🤣🤣🤣
You want one??
If I get this system I don’t have to have my pump running all the time do i?
No, there is a timer
Where did you get that stainless steel tank?
It’s an aluminum tank from tbnation.net

Not gonna lie, first glance at the thumbnail I thought that was a rod and reel for trolling. Now time to watch this video.
Now that you say it i see haha
Just curious but did you have the actual livewell tank custom built or did you buy it somewhere.
I would use a coil of copper pipe in the chill box.... the rubber isn't conducive of chilling the water
I wish someone installed these near me
I really want a nice well like this but the price point is really discouraging.
Is it the flowrite price or livewell price?
