Probably a bit of silicone in both Pams...😂. Didn't think it would work that well. Still it's a cheap alternative to use when storing your mower for the winter! Nice video JB!! Enjoy the weekend my friend!
So I don't know if I'm doing the right thing with my mower. I have a 54 inch Cub Cadet zero turn with a thick welded deck. I don't do anything with the underside in the summer but at the end of the season I take the deck off, pressure wash it and fluid film it for the winter. The top side is always clean and dry. Great video!!
Well done JB and great results. Both times that you cleaned that deck - it was the cleanest deck I had ever seen. Perfectly accurate results. Loved this experiment. BTW - "Prep It for Pam" could be the title of your spin off series...I know I would be a happy subscriber to that one as well. Always grateful for your videos and that you were inspired to do this test for us...and share these results. I just added Pam to my grocery list...the spray that is!
@@joebarzo9935 hey Joe! May do one or two more of these experiments before lawn season winds down. I like that video series title! lol! Be sure to add the right pam to your shopping cart. They both have a bit of silicone in them. Hahaha 😂 grateful to have you as a cool fan my friend!
The answer to this problem is UHMV and lawn mower manufacturers aren't going to use it for a couple reasons. First, it's cost prohibitive, second, mower deck would never rust and say goodbye to repeat customers who can change a motor. If you look up Pavati Boats, they offer it as an option on the bottom of their drift boats to keep them from sticking to rocks in the river. This stuff is slicker than snot on ice, lol. Your vids have helped me care for my new Honda mower and I thank you for sharing.
Great vid lol, maybe try goo gone next? Wouldn’t it be smart to paint the underside of the deck with a high temp black anti-rust paint when the mower is brand new to prevent corrosion?
I want to put a coat of wax under the deck and see how that works. I would not even wipe it off after the dry and just let the grass blow off the dried wax. Great vid, thanks.
That sounds awesome, reminds me of when my father was given a great idea from a coworker to put bacon fat on his construction boots it would keep the concrete from drying up the leather. That idea soon went out the window when we noticed all the neighborhood cats following him around 😂 JB keep an eye behind you Love the vid 👍

Last year I used Chemical Guys wheel guard … boy did it work. Definitely going to reapply for next season. I’ve mowed wet grass a few times, yesterday being the recent one, and it’s still spotless under there. Ol Honda still looking like a million bucks 😂
I had to laugh out loud when I saw the title as all Pam is, is a variant of vegetable oil in an aerosol can. If that works you can buy it in a big jug and just wipe it on for less than $5, lol. Why don't manufacturers just coat the underside of the mower deck with teflon...since nothing sticks to teflon.
My Toro Super Recycler under-deck needed to be cleaned regularly. The deck on my Ferris FW15, with the mulch kit, stays amazingly clean regardless of how wet/dry the yard is while mowing. I’m wondering if the high clearance over the blades is a factor??
Just got back from the Home Depot. They have a little end cap (near the paint department in mine) had fluid film cans on sale for 8 bucks. Supposedly 11 something bucks normally. I got 2 lol. Just FYI!

How many calories ? I would spray Pam all over the front of my corvette . In the south in May and September we get love bugs which are full of acid that will etch into your paint quickly and damage the finish . I’d cover the front painted area with it to keep them off the paint . Wax wouldn’t work , but there was a polish called liquid glass that you could build up layers and prevent damage from the bugs , but spraying Pam was easier during season and after season use the liquid glass for a good finish . Liquid glass today isn’t what it used to be as they change the chemical makeup making it suck. Pam washes off a car with hot water
