Lóve the Goyard! A very old French brand. I find that they offer more quality than LV. If you like that style, check out Delvaux. A beautiful Belgian brand with the softest leather! 😘

Yay! I’m so glad you bought something from Goyard! I also recommend you to buy another thing from them but add your initials and stripes as well. I don’t recommend initialing your Saïgon bag. They also have a really nice bag that’s like the Chanel wallet on chain bag; it’s called the Alexandre III bag.

Sophie I love your London shopping vlogs. My husband and I lived in London for a year for post grad studies (me at UCL he at Southampton) many many years ago, and while I don't want to overly romanticise London which as with every city has problems of its own, we genuinely had a ball of a time. We were supposed to return last year for a family trip but of course that was upended by the pandemic. Really looking forward to borders reopening, so we can take both our kids to our old haunts. On a separate note, I adore your new Goyard bag! I am such a fan of Goyard and their sensible design and impeccable craftsmanship. We are so lucky to have a Goyard boutique here in Singapore (along with Faure Le Page which I think you will love too!). My favorite is the Artois tote; I've used mine to death and will definitely repurchase. Lots of love from the tropics :)

Same! They have that je ne sais quoi. I’ve been to the San Francisco location when it was inside the Westin hotel and also Beverly Hills. One of the only luxury stores where staff is lovely all the time even when you are just browsing.

Love the vlogs around London! I spent a semester abroad in London during college and we lived in South Kensington just around the corner from Harrod’s and all that. Such a gorgeous area, I haven’t been to visit in so long and seeing your vlogs make me nostalgic and want to go back for a vacation soon.

I love when you speak to the younger generation about finishing college/university and either can’t find a job or getting stuck in a job that’s stressful or not satisfying. I have many friends/family who’s children are going through this or have gone through this. They spend years in school focused on a major only to get into the real world and not find a job in their field. They take jobs when they can and are underpaid, unfulfilled and are dealing with anxiety. I’ve mentioned you to them and of course from my husband and my own journeys try to encourage them. Things will get better but you have to be patient. I also know of young people that have gone in several different directions as things aren’t always what they’ve imagined. I’m all for finding a career that is exciting and satisfying as we spend decades of our lives working and it can be hell on earth if you don’t enjoy your career path.
I’m so excited for this vlog, as soon as I saw Goyard I knew you’d do a stellar review on it. I have my sights on one of the bags. I always enjoy your reviews, love all the way from South Africa. 🎀

Oh my god mascara under the eyes is the bane of my life! I have genetic dark circles under the eyes as well so I think it has a lot to do with the amount of concealer I have to put on. Love that you use the maybelline fit me powder, it's so good! Loved the vlog

I love this vlog. The last time I was in London in 2019, I had a "Sophie Shohet day out" alone since my husband wanted to do a tour of a football stadium. I put on my Baume und Pferdgarten leopard dress, boots, Balenciaga sunglasses, LV bag and leather jacket and walked from our hotel on Gloucester Road to Harrods. I had a look around Dior and a good browse around cosmetics and perfumes. Then I walked to Goyard (which was kind of farther than I thought it was) and the street it was on was really cute. I stood in line to get in, looked around, but didn't buy anything because I didn't see anything I wanted. I really like the bag you got, though!
I would watch your car content just because I'm curious. I'm not super into cars just because I don't know a lot. But I always like to learn! I just like the way they look 🚘

I really like that you featured Goyard. I got a Goyard piece on a trip to Paris in 2012 and despite the current financial crisis and the various financial crisis that happened in between, I have never considered selling it along with some of the stuff that I sold through each financial crisis we've been through. I like that Goyard is very exclusive despite it being a year older than Louis Vuitton and find their discreetness charming...

Sophie, seeing your videos makes me want more and more to move to London whenever I get a new job and make more money. Once I have enough, and could get a job in London, I'd love to move there. Seeing the buildings and homes helps in a way but also gives me something to work towards - something to see and imagine. I love it. Seriously though...seeing your videos, from the homes to the luxary goods and London itself, it's in large part the motivating factor in me planning to go for a certification as a paralegal. I plan to go for that so I can make more money and move to London....and so I can buy more nice things that I like. The house in the Disney movie the Parent trap, and the home in Marry Poppins, those are regency houses as well? Just wondering what they are considered.
Please, keept he videos coming. They are really helping me, cause right now my retail pharmacy job is burning me out...but at 35 I'm also scared and somewhat nervous to try and get a new education and get into a new field of work.
The whole point is to never stop progressing. The worst mistake is (and I’ve done it myself) to be in an employment that is stable, but not having a chance to move up for too long. The longer you stay on an average salary the longer it will take to move up. We all should move towards progress in careers that is the only chance to get earnings up. It’s never too late. I’m 39 and still moving up. Get the certifications, job courses etc whatever to prove your skills even volunteering helps to achieve more. Never give up!
@@bydanak Yup, that's what I'm at now. No ability to move up in the job I'm at, retail pharmacy as a tech. So I'm aiming for something more. Seeing these videos gives me a goal and something better to aim for, it helps. ^_^ And keep going as well!

I used to get mascara under my eyes all the time! I’ve used some really expensive mascaras and it didn’t make a difference 😅 I recently purchased the maybelline sky high and I’ve not had any mascara under my eyes even after a full day and make your lashes look amazing! Hope this helps ❤️❤️

Hi Sophie. The road trip your friend wrote to you about is very similar to the sort of trip we do in Australia, when travelling between the capital cities by road. After many such childhood trips, the novelty wore off for me and I now prefer aeroplanes! But the memory of the trips can be very nostalgic. I love your videos because of luxury but my husband is the BIGGEST car enthusiast. When you bought your new car I told him and of course he knew exactly what it was with the engine, limited quantity, etc. He has owned multiple dealerships over the years and recently has retired but with half ownership in one dealership still. His favourite hobby is going to car shows, going for drives and talking to friends about cars. Of course this is not really what I intended for our time together.😂😂😂😂

As a Canadian my husband and I also would love to cross the boarder and spend time just driving through different states and experience the little towns and what they have to offer. Of course Canada has a lot to offer as well but there is something about leaving your own country and exploring another. I have vacationed in the US but usually a direct flight, a week’s stay and back home again. I just want to take our time and really explore. Maybe I’ll see you there.😂
