'Tears and Celebration’ is a new hymn for the UK and Commonwealth, recorded following the death of Her late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Written by @Andy Flannagan along with Sam Hargreaves, it is a song of remembrance, assurance and repentance, giving voice to the hearts and minds of people all over the world.
An abridged version was broadcast on BBC1 on Sunday 11th September.

We see tears and celebration,
for this life so dignified,
bearing thanks and hearts of sadness,
to the God of death and life.
As he takes her to his promise,
of an audience with the King,
we remember all she gave us,
wreaths of gratitude we bring.
In these days of change and trial,
be the rock on which we stand,
when we fear in this new season,
hold us firmly in your hands.
May we rise to her example,
to be humble, kind and fair,
swift to pray and slow to anger,
choosing faith and not despair.
In the midst of coronation,

that a more united kingdom,
would give glory to the King.
When our days are at their dimming,
and our work on earth is done,
may we hear as does our sovereign,
‘Faithful servant, welcome home.’
May we rise with Christ to witness,
a new heav’n and earth displayed,
ours a robe that will not tarnish,
hers a crown that will not fade.

Such a beautiful hymn for our w😅nderful 😊Queen. She is now resting in peace with her beloved Philip and is with our Lord Jesus Christ who has walked alongside our Majesty who showed such great faith. This is my favourite song it’s such a lovely tribute to a woman who gave her whole life to duty never wavering never complaining I hope she is rest in peace with her darling husband finally reunited with all who have gone before her. I am just astounded by this stunning spiritual and musical tribute to HM Queen Elizabeth II by Katherine Jenkins. I pray HM King Charles III has listened to it. For 70 years this very special lady gave a she had to God and country.

This is just an absolutely beautiful song! And it’s very hard to believe that Friday is going to be one year since we lost the queen very hard to believe that I’m probably one of many people who thought she would always be here!

You have to be kidding me? But sadly it was confirmed I absolutely love listening to her Christmas message every year I am hoping that her son king Charles III Will continue to do it if he does I will listen but it will be weird listening because it’s not the queen doing it.for 70 years of dedication and of hard work your majesty thank you

I recently received a gift of one of Andy Flanagan's CDs which I enjoyed immensely, especially as it included a booklet describing the inspiration behind the songs. So I was very interested to see that he and Sam Hargreaves had produced this hymn. It is beautifully sung by Katherine Jenkins and so meaningful for these times of change.

True.This beautiful Welsh hymn tune was sung at my wife's funeral who was a true believer.Tomorrow, would have been our fortieth wedding anniversary and I have missed her every day since she died early five years on the 28 th December 2017.She was a true servant if God.Katherine Jenkins this hymn so beautifully and the words are appropriate to our extraordinary, late Queen Elizabeth.
