The historic NS ex-Virginian route from Elmore Yard to Princeton, WV was mothbolled, effective October 1st, 2015. NS shifted traffic to a longer route using the Guyandotte River Branch. This video shows two Hill Runs lugging loaded coal up the 2.07% grade to Clark's Gap a week before the suspension of operations.
