    If my memory serves me right, certain models of Turbosound active speakers support ULTRANET, a 16-channel multitrack protocol which is also supported by Midas M32. With help of this all the 8 active speakers can be daisychained and driven by a single CAT cable from mixing desk

    Really interesting look around. I'm the UK we'd call troughs like that dip-traps. Traps because they are holes in the stage, dip because they just dip in a little bit rather than being a full trapdoor into the substage.

      Ahh Cool! Thanks for that. I've spent the last 5 years working here in Oslo and sometimes I just forget or don't know the words in English, despite being native haha

    Hey Man, can you make a open sound meter tutorial?? It will be helpful to me and other engineers as well

    • @OffshoreAudio

    I really love tour content. It's make me undertand live sound worl better and better !
    What is the model of the stageboxes (subsnakes) that you use in this venue ?

      So glad it's helpful. I enjoy sharing it but it can be hard to get access to the venues for long enough to film stuff like that. I believe that box was klotz. Not 100% sure. We've got a bunch in there

    Hey is it possible to make a tutorial about gainstaging and fader levels? And how to make a new mix out of scratch and all that fun stuff 😄

    Loved your video! Thanks, it helped me a lot . Can you talk about time coded shows? I haven't come across any but would love to know more before someone ask me to do time coded shows one day.

    I get, that your channel is all about audio, but I kinda wish you'd showed a bit of the lighting &controls too :) I got a feeling that some FOH guys do both?

    • @OffshoreAudio
      @OffshoreAudio  3 місяці тому +1

      I've considered it. The problem is that I don't really know much about lights so I wouldn't have much to say other than. Yeah, here's the lighting desk. I'll ask one of the light techs to fill me in a bit next time

      @OffshoreAudio In 1987, a coworker of mine got my newborn a shirt that said " Real Men Don't Do Lights". My son still has it. 😁

    The tech budget clearly took a cut to build them saunas. Not necessarily a bad thing tho if the engineers a free pre gig sauna session 🤷‍♂️🤣

      It's a sacrifice I'm willing to make hahaha. I don't even go that often...

    Having an M32 and a GrandMA at front of house is a funny juxtaposition. As an engineer, an M32 is fine, it's just funny because they are at opposite ends of the price/professionalism spectrum.

      Hahaha tell me about it. They just got the MA3 like a month ago and I was like, so when are we getting a D live or something?

    I know that you do audio but can you please find out what the lighting is

    I wonder how it sounds with the pointed roof, a little bit too far to check it out 🫨

    • @OffshoreAudio
      @OffshoreAudio  3 місяці тому +1

      Acoustically the room isn't too bad. I think the PA deployment could be better. Tends to be a bit harsh sounding at the back where the mixer is. It's workable. The smallest stage in that place is also pyramid shaped and it sounds amazing

      @@OffshoreAudio It looks pretty big, very nice place too, I like the high ceiling but was wondering about the pointy ceiling if it would give strange reflections. Maybe some big clouds could help acoustically. Just a guess maybe it isn’t a issue because it’s pretty high as far as I can tell. Nice venue you guys and girls and everyone in between have there 😊
