All of the replies were amazing, and thank you to EVERYONE who responded to the thread(s)! Every entry on the list was super fun to expand and give my takes on. Now let's do it here, what are some changes you'd like to see in the Disney Parks? Go crazy!
I know it's technically been almost 2 decades since the movie came out, but the lack of any Lion King representation in California is criminal. At least give me a themed restaurant in Adventureland or something.
Throwing in a ride for every country would be amazing, maybe using IP to their advantage. A historical/cultural experience but with some known characters. Like a Hercules ride in Rome
My ideas: Add a Greece Pavilion to Epcot. Have a Chipotle-style build your own gyro quick service place, named Zero to Gyro. Have Meg's Garden in the pavilion, decrorated with duplicate Greek sculptures. Chop Dinoland in half. The half with Dinosaur, the Dino institute, Restaurantsaurus, and the Boneyard stay the same. The area formerly known as Dinorama gets changed to Australia. It's perfect, because the Finding Nemo theater is right next to it, as are the crocodile exhibits. Add some more Australian animals and some kind of ride and you're all set. Maybe get the Irwin family involved somehow? Turn Animation Courtyard into a mini ToonTown. The Launch Bay used to be the Animator's building, dedicated to classic characters and drawing classes. Add the drawing classes back. Use the space for a unique ride, maybe like the Roger Rabbit ones initially planned for Studios. Mickey's ride is right next door, so it works. And it would keep the tot-friendly area!
Finally, someone else that likes the idea of Australia! A retheme of the Finding Nemo show building to the Sydney Opera house is such a cool idea that would bring new light to the show. The remaining part of Dinoland could also fit in with the theme as a town with a research facility in the Outback, keeping a lot of the previous plot and theming from before
Personally, I want more countries in the World Showcase. India, Greece, and Egypt specifically would be incredible. You could put a Jungle Book attraction in India, a Hercules attraction in Greece, and maybe even some kind of Indiana Jones attraction in Egypt. It would be especially cool if Egypt and Greece were themed to appear as they did thousands of years ago rather than how they do now. If anyone at Disney just so happens to read this, please make it happen!
I feel like, although I’d love Greece, it might be too similar to Morocco, food-wise, (and everyone knows that the whole eating/drinking around the world is the major reason a lot of people like World Showcase). And with room for only a couple more countries to ever be added, the additions should be something from South America, definitely, and then probably something from Africa, as already mentioned…. Hmm, although an argument could be made that Animal Kingdom and AK Lodge have already managed to cover African cuisine *very* well…. India/SE Asia is also represented at AK, though to a lesser extent. I’m thinking maybe a country from Eastern Europe, with its different flavors, would be better? 🤷🏼♀️ I don’t know, but South America has next to no representation anywhere in WDW, so *definitely* a country from there.
I worked in fantasyland at WDW in 2022, I can promise you, the amount of times me and fellow cast members talked about turning the Bonjour Gifts store into either the entrance or exit of a Shanghai based attraction instead of that current store, and put the show building behind the building. (There’s plenty of room if you move a break room)
I think my idea for updating Dinoland is to make it almost like an extinct zoo. Not just dinosaurs, but extinct animals of all kinds. Maybe a bit more animatronic heavy than other parts of Animal Kingdom, but arguably Dinoland is naturally like that anyway since none of them are alive. It would fit with the theme of being about animals, have an educational theme to it (different ways animals went extinct, talking about natural and human-made ways) can give a good walk-through attraction and give the imagineers a way to shine making all of these creatures come to life. Could even make a new SEA org member who is a time traveller trying to save all of these animals
I just want them to keep the dinosaurs. Personally, I'd like to see audio-animatronic dinosaurs based on the fossil displays at The Boneyard. For example, based on The Bonyard, they could build a ride where two audio-animatronic Triceratops lock horns.
This is the first time I'm hearing about "The World Between Worlds" and I like it. Hollywood Studios can now put the soon-to-be closing Galactic Starcrusier to good use by turning that into "The World Between Worlds". Not too late for Galaxy's Edge to make major changes. And number 1? Absolutely not.
I've never heard of it before, but that would allow them to bring in the actually ICONIC parts of the Star Wars franchise into Galaxy's Edge. I personally haven't been to Disneyland since before Galaxy's Edge opened, so I had no idea (someday...) but I would've been pretty mad to not see any of that stuff.
Really enjoy the way you do Top Tens. Just the wacky approach and effort in production. The gags on 4 and 2 were hilarious, and the ad read at the end was classic Dallin. Great work as always!
I’d love a pod racing attraction in Galaxy’s Edge, it’d be amazing. I’m also not convinced that Zootopia fits Animal Kingdom and totally agree with you that it would fit Hollywood Studios much better. Love the idea of better/more Indiana Jones representation in AK too.
I also don't think that Zootopia fits in AK. But Indiana Jones doesn't fit in AK because it doesn't have anything to do with animals. I personally think Indiana Jones needs a ride where the stunt show in HS is. All they would have to do is just bring the one from Disneyland over.
Look all I gotta say is that today we’re learning to live with the land…discovering better ways to grow food that will assure both human and environmental wellbeing. Also I really do need to say that in Japan, we’re learning that by adding composted leaves and other plant material to our soil, we can reduce the need for fertilisers.
My grandfather recently passed away (he was 92, if you were curious). I went through some of his old photo albums and found some photos he took when he was at Epcot back in the 1980’s, which included some vintage photos from inside “Journey into Imagination” as well as Spaceship Earth.
thats so cool dude! i'm really hoping my mom still has pictures from when she was younger and she went, because she used to go all the time since my grandfather was a chorus director and took his classes every year
I've always thought that Dinoland AK should be re-themed to South America to complete the set alongside Asia and Africa. You could keep the Dinosaur ride basically unchanged (just with a well-needed facelift), introduce some tropical bird exhibits, throw in some Encanto and Emperor's New Groove meet'n'greets, and bingo bongo you've got synergy
I think the perfect replacement for the Animation Courtyard is to just turn that entire area into the scrapped Muppets Studios area- move Muppet Vision 4D over there, make the Great Muppet Movie Ride and the Swedish Chef restaurant, and you have a perfect land! They could even make it heavily themed like the original Muppets area before they started to tone it down. Alternatively, move Star Tours into Galaxy’s Edge and then have Muppets absorb that area to make a Muppets Studios land without having to move MuppetVision.
I was reading this too fast and thought you were wanting a Muppets influenced Star Tours...and I loved it. Use that ride system and make it Great Muppet Movie Ride to be able to swap out IP easily.
Adding Greece to World Showcase seems like such a no-brainer to me. You add a Hercules dark ride (we know Disney loves their IP at the moment!) a sit-down taverna restaurant with a plate-smashing dance show, and a quick service gyros restaurant. Add in a Hercules meet and greet and BAM, you’ve got yourself a sure-fire hit right there. I also think a quick and dirty retheme of Kali River Rapids to give it a Jungle Book overlay would improve the ride about 1000%
Regarding the Beauty and the Beast attraction, if I recall correctly, Oriental Land Company retains exclusivity of that attraction for a certain number of years until Disney can build it elsewhere.
Such a shame, really. Frankly I'd happily see Be Our Guest gutted so that the space could be used for the ride. I'm sure the space isn't big enough on its own, but I think guests could live with losing the lake and redirecting Belle's Story time for a bit if it meant squeezing another dark ride into Fantasyland.
If the new castle colors were a more faded pink like in the concept art it would have been fine. Even in some pictures of the older castle the grey sometimes looked like a light pinkish hue on it. But especially when you see it in person, I could around how ugly the pink looked in person. It looks fine and bad at different angles, the gold trim just blends into it, and like you said in the video give it a very spray tan skin-toned look.
Rather than a ride, I would prefer a Zootopia themed experience. Specifically one where one of the tigers from the movie proposes to you and you live out the rest of your life happily married. I'm not even into marriage it just sounds like a cool attraction idea.
I haven't even been to disney in quite awhile. I been watching this channel for like 5 years now though. Your channel really brightens my day when I see a video, I feel so busy these days with so much going on, lots of stress. To be able to just sit back and watch a 30 minute video about disney, something that was a big part of my childhood, is really such a good feeling. Thanks for continuting these videos, as long as you make them I will continue watching them!
Couldn't they just have special events at Galaxy's Edge putting the events time back into Prequels or Origiquel timeframes... but still located at Batuu? A Quigon Jin and young Obiwan adventure weekend on Batuu? A Vader on his hunt for Luke hiding on Batuu between Empire and Jedi (like a cat and mouse) month? If they can pull off holiday retheming, they can swing this.
Speaking of EPCOT rides: I will forever lament that they scrapped the planned dark ride for the Germany Pavilion (the giant wall along the back of Germany is the facade to the ride building). I love dark rides so much, I wish I could have a 5th gate be nothing but hyper-immersive dark rides. And so, Germany’s dark ride never coming to fruition is heartbreaking. I may be one of like 17 people in the US that actually has strong opinions on this, though.
I used to work at sunset ranch market at hollywood studios and the backstage where the potential pixar area could be was a hub for a bunch of different areas. There was a cast member cafeteria connected to the back of hollywood brown derby. And basically all of sunset blvd, launchbay, and disney jr cast members used that space. I do love the hollywood land idea though and believe the area could use so upgrading!! I would love to see the area possibly incorporate old school animation from the 1920s-1940s in the theming as it would fit the era (like the snow white idea)!
I don't need a story, at all, to explain why Darth Vader is in Star Wars Land. No need for a portal or anything. Just bring him in. The over-reliance on backstories and logic in modern lands and attractions takes away from the magic of the parks. I don't need anyone explaining why the Matterhorn towers over a tea party, why there's a fairtytale castle at the end of a midwestern main street, or why the railroad goes back to see dinosaurs. The juxtaposition of different worlds and stories are the magic, where anything can happen. It's just about the vibes
I'm trash, but: Galactic Staircruiser becomes S.E.A. / Haunted Mansion Resort (with a hotel guest-only ride) I have a lot of thoughts on this AK Dinotopia becomes Gravity Falls MK Fairytale Hall becomes Tangled dark ride HS Animation Courtyard Areabecomes w/ Great Movie Ride, but it's all defunct rides ('Great Ride Ride') Epcot: Just more rides
Why not give all Disney Princesses a ride by incorporating all of them into a dark ride? Narratively, the Magic Mirror could take you from one story to the next. At some point, Maleficent captures you & it's up to the princesses to help you out & return back into the real world. On this trackless attraction, you can have princesses who don't have their own rides, such as Aurora/Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, Jasmine, Merida, Belle, Mulan, etc.
Hmmm, needs more IP...let's make it tie in to the one sequence from Ralph Wrecks the Internet. Need to maximize corporate synergy and Disney + viewer metrics.
@@GLJosh I think a better idea to keep that corporate synergy while still keeping to the princess brand's general aesthetic is to include some Sofia the first theming, as the princesses often help Sofia out in the show.
I'm shocked know one has said this but I think Mexico in Epcott needs a facelift badly. Don't get me wrong I love the Aztec building with the restaurant inside, but the gran fiesta tour ride is outdated. I think to fix this, a COCO themed ride/area would be the perfect replacement since it takes place in Mexico and the movie is highly adored
Agreed on more dark rides, especially ones that aren't indoor thrill rides. It's depressing to see how many my family members who can't do thrill rides for health reasons have to skip.
I love walkthroughs, but the problem with ridiculous numbers of steps is accessibility for folks in wheelchairs or with general movement issues. My wife will never see any of the treehouses. But yes, more accessible walkthroughs! I hope to see the Journey of Water someday!
They really need to add accessibility to the parks BAD. There's no reason for them not to have figured out a way to make The Adventure Treehouse wheelchair accessible.
I like the pink and blue for Disneyland’s Sleeping Beauty castle fine; those are her colors, for one, and they were already present in the original. But I do NOT like the idea that all the castles should match. They are literally the icons of the park, and at least with the American ones I can tell you which one’s which from just a silhouette. They should be trying to get as DISTINCT as possible with them, to show off the uniqueness of each park (which is also vanishing but hey) and their locations.
My idea would be pretty simple comparatively. A full, daytime parade in DCA. You could do brand new floats of all of the IP’s that just don’t feel quite like they belong in a Disneyland parade. I’m thinking Marvel, Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Pixar. And a float with the fab five in like an old Hollywood style. Something like that.
My top 5 1. Give the Disneyland park in Paris a ride after 30 ******* years lol😅😅!!! Let it be the proposed little mermaid ride. 2. And also every resort around the world need Figment in some capacity 3. Bring back Cinemagique and Timekeeper. (In Disneyland and Wdw) 4. Build a Greece pavillion in Epcot 5. Reimagine Pixar Pier in a more American Waterfront area like Disney Sea can still be Pixar themed.
10. re-theme Tower of Terror to Gravity Falls where Stan has bought the tower and wants to make it a hotel, only to incur the wrath of the ghosts 9. A Tangled dark ride at Fantasy land 8. A new Indiana Jones ride in Adventureland 7. Bring Sea of Dreams to EPOCT 6. Powerline re-theme of Rockin Roller coaster 5. a Disney Villain dark ride set in Maleficents castle 4. get ride of Monsters Laugh floor and bring in a Tron show in the vain of the Bourne show at Universal 3. I don't know what to put here 2. nope, got nothing here either 1. get rid of Star Wars Launch Bay and replace it with the scraped Muppets Movie Ride
I think they should get rid of Monsters laugh floor and put in a monsters inc themed dark ride/roller coaster. One where you have to help save boo from Randall/Waternoose by going through different doors. The queue could be you entering monstropolis and the storyline for that could be humans and monsters coexisting with each other.
The Indiana Jones retheme could be done by focusing the area on jungle animals, especially SNAKES. They could set it in South America. They could say that Indiana Jones was looking for some animal based idol and have him encounter a bunch of animals that challenge him on his journey. They could also include New World monkey exhibits and keep the American Crocodile exhibit. It would be just as animal focused (if not more) than Pandora. And the ride could have a giant Green Anaconda instead of the giant cobra. Plus they could add in the coaster from Paris but place it inside the temple to make it feel more like Temple of Doom.
100% against Zootopia at Animal Kingdom, it’s a weird movie and definitely doesn’t fit Animal Kingdom’s theme…. Indiana Jones however 🤔 if done right, I think they could integrate a lane conversation theme. Someone who gets paid more than I can figure out how that will work but I know it can 😂
Combining both ideas 9 and 6, if Disney were to bring Zootopia to Animal Kingdom, they should retheme Dinosaur while overhauling the rest of the land. The Dinosaur vehicles are a perfect fit to be retrofit into a police car, and the ride’s story can be changed to a police pursuit.
So I think somewhere in the world there ought to be a Monsters Inc./University Land, maybe the size of toon town with a shift from the town into the school campus. Some sort of hanging coaster where you hang from a door traveling around the factory would be spectacular. I'm not sure where exactly you would put this land. Hollywood studios seems great. Also, I am sad the Paradise pier is changing, so nostalgic! Wish I could just sit and talk ideas with you! I could think of countless things to add or change. Agree or disagree but there could be much better space used in the autopia/submarine voyage area! Disney has the money to buy the land across from the bus station (drop off) and add tunnels or an enclosed bridge over or under the street. New lands, new things, new excitement. This could be a new gate or expansion to the two gates. Would love to see some of DCA's Hollywood land expand, it greatly needs help. Agree or Disagree this is just my opinion.
Two Star Wars walk through attractions/meet and greets for Galaxy’s Edge 1) ancient Jedi temple walk through where you get to meet “force visions” of awesome Jedis: Obi Wan, Qui Gon Jinn, Anikan, Luke 2) creepy force cave walk through where you encounter force visions of Darth Vader, Maul, the Emperor, or the Grand Inquisitor. It works well enough in canon and everyone would be too excited to care.
I was at AK a few years back, and one of the CMs working in the Dinoland Area told me and my mom that Dinosaur had the same track layout as Indiana Jones!! I’m not sure how accurate that statement is, but idk I think it might give a teeny tiny bit of credit to the Indians Jones idea - I don’t think they’d do Moana because then there would be two split areas between AK and Epcot which doesn’t feel cohesive to me, if that makes sense?
My ten changes would be 10. Bring back the peoplemover 9. Give me. Toad and Pinocchio digital updates 8. Rip out the Matterhorn track and rebuild it 7. Move star tours into galaxy’s edge in every park and then in HWS make that area muppet themed and in DLR make it a original concept or a stitch dark ride 6. Close mike and sully to the rescue and make it a muppet themed dark ride going through their backstage area 5. Retheme figment to a better version of figment 4. Five living with the land a loop de loop The real 4. Close the weird area in DLR fantasyland where the phantom boats used to be and make it an area for a Fantasia boat ride 3. Give Disneyland’s haunted mansion new hitchhiking ghosts but keep the ones in the mirror and bring back the ones in the mirror for wdw 2. Give a complete update to DLR Tomorrowland making it feel less like an abandoned 80s mall with leftover Star Wars cardboard cutouts and make it feel more like a retro 50s ideal future with flying cars and stuff. 1. New new fantasyland in magic kingdom (this is if there were no special limitations. This one is weird but my plan would be take out the brave meet and greet and make it Alice. Shorten the track for pooh. Where fairytale hall is put Mr. Toad with two tracks. Next to village haus add in Pinocchio’s daring journey and a meet and greet for jiminy and Pinocchio. Take out enchanted tales with belle and add in the beauty and the beast trackless ride. Across from little mermaid add in snow white’s scary adventures. Complete get rid of storybook circus but keep dumbo and the track for barnstormer. Retheme barnstormer into a sorcerer’s apprentice rollercoaster with a Mickey animatronic and some brooms. Add in Casey Jr. and storybook land. Where Pete’s silly slideshow is add a sleeping beauty dark ride and a three little pigs ride. Then add in a tangled boat ride and close down liberty square and by haunted mansion add a sleepy hollow ride where you ride in giant pumpkins and are chased by the headless horseman. Then inbetween philharmagic and Peter Pan add in a Mickey and friends meet and greet. And finally inside the caste add in a Cinderella walkthrough with Gus and jaq animatronics. It would be very expensive but I think it would be great
And by “close down liberty square” I simply mean close down that gate way from fantasyland to haunted mansion/harbor house to add in the sleepy hollow ride
I think Dinoland should be turned into something South America themed. I think Disney should take the D23 idea that they presented about what the back of thunder Mountain would look like and apply that to Dino land- Coco and Encanto. They both have animal elements (Coco has the fantastical Alebrijes, Encanto has all of the more realistic animals that naturally live in South America, like jaguars, Capybaras, etc). It would naturally open up the gates for them to have South American animals more present in the park, but also allow them to integrate existing IP (even beyond Coco and Encanto! We could finally get the emperors new groove thrill ride that everybody’s been talking about forever, or they could make another type of attraction later on related to the new idea that they have, like maybe they could finally make a Latina Disney princess that isn’t only for TV and maybe a Caribbean one lol). It’s better than Indiana Jones because it has the animal relations, better than the jungle book because it’s not just a reiteration of the south Asia part of animal kingdom that is already there, and it’s better than Zootopia because you’re right, Zootopia is a story about humans and humanity. Make the dinosaur ride into a Coco adventure ride, you can make a Madrigal house walk-through attraction, and some sort of third thing. Also, you’d be guaranteed to breathe a whole new life and the animal kingdom as a theme park, which is in its current state not really that exciting aside from Pandora which I’ve never been a fan of. Also, when you talk about the jungle book idea, you accidentally put in the screenshot of the Indiana Jones idea tweet instead.
Some pretty good ideas here. I’m still in favor of a “Good Dinosaur” themed water/Dark ride for Dinoland. Imagine following Arlo on his journey along the river, dodging thunderstorms, Rustler Raptors, Pterosaur air attacks, etc. An epic cross between Splash Mountain, Thunder Mountain, and Indiana Jones lol.
So just throwing my two cents in, and I want to be that guy, we need Kingdom Hearts representation. Hear me out 1) Gummi ship overlay in Space Mountain 2) The Caribbean Beach Resort becomes a district of Traverse Town. You play the theme, sell sea salt ice cream bars.
Zootopia in Animal Kingdom isn’t about the theming. It’s about the fact that DInosaur and Zootopia share the exact same ride system and building…which is the Indiana Jones ride system. It’s about the easy re-skin.
My fam has talked about the idea that the Indy ride at AK could simply be Indy looking/trying to save a mythical creature. Maybe a Phoenix or something else that feels "Indy." I mean, if Indy can track down aliens, he could track down a mythical creature at AK. It could fit perfectly in AK if they craft the right story and I hope Indy finds his way in that building!
If anything, Animal Kingdom should make a South America themed land. And potential IP…Tepuis from Up, Coco underworld, Encanto, Emperor’s New Groove. Plus, so many unrepresented animals from this entire region! It could stretch from Amazon jungles, tepuis, Peruvian highlands, Patagonia & even the Antarctic realm.
What was the actual tweet regarding the Jungle Book land in Animal Kingdom? You re-posted the Indiana Jones suggestion on that part of the video. I'm 100% on board with the World-Between-Worlds idea for Galaxy's Edge. I loved that episode of Rebels so that would be a cool tie-in and a good way to expand the scope of that area.
i think a tangled themed boat ride would be really cool with drops similar to pirates, and i think the floating lanterns scene with at last i see the lite playing would be really cool.
I think Disney should re theme rock’n roller coaster to a goofy movie. And this is my idea for the story. so just imagine your on the side of the road hitch hiking when suddenly a station wagon stops to pick you up, then you see goofy and max and there arguing. max is saying they don’t have time and that they need to get to the power line concert and goofy is telling him that he needs to be more polite, then max starts mumbling under his breath. Then goofy looks over at us and says there going to the power line concert and asks us if we want to come or not. Max tells goofy that if we don’t go soon we will miss the concert, then goofy tells us to hop in the car and then we launch off to the power line concert as fast we can in the station wagon, with Stand out blaring, passing road signs and other cars with max yelling about goofy’s driving and goofy asking for directions. All while we’re trying to get to the power line concert as fast as we can so max can keep his promise to Roxane. Finally ending at the power line concert/gift shop. Or ending in the back stage area of the concert, and then entering the concert/gift shop. Possibly having max and goofy animatronics in the back stage area next to the open guitar and drum cases where they were hiding. All of this takes place after goofy and max floated down the river and max saved goofy with the perfect cast. and they could just re theme the stretch limo to the station wagon concerning the ride vehicle. Name for the ride, power lines Rock’n roller coaster. Rock’n roller coaster has been in the need for a re theme for a long time and I think this would be the perfect one. not just for nostalgia for a goofy movie lovers, but also it’s much more catering for everyone. There aren’t a lot of people who listen to aero smith anymore, and more than half of the people who ride it don’t know who aero smith was, especially not the kids. A goofy movie themed ride caters to more than just the people who love a goofy movie, but also to all the kids who love goofy and max and friends. This would be a great ride for everyone and I think the best thing they could re theme it to. also i would like to add that i did not come up with this idea lots of people have mentioned this idea before but this was my consept for it.
Ok, I have an idea for Animation Courtyard. We might need to gut that entire area. They way I see it there are two options. 1st we can turn it into a new abbreviated toontown, which could work with Runaway Railway right there. Or we make an original attraction where you are an animator and you have to recapture your creativity by going through Walt’s old cartoons. (This keeps with the animation theme.) my only issue with this is it might be too much like Journey into imagination.
The castle’s new color scheme looking so off in reality reminds me of the story Mom has always told me about painting Main Street at WDW. Imaginears had all the same colors that had been used in DL - only to find the colors blinding in the Florida sun. The pink strikes me like someone didn’t consider how that color would look under the bright sunlight and against the skyline.
I was going to comment my thoughts BUT THAT AD WITH THE ACTUAL BATHBOMB IN THE TUB WAS THE BEST AD I'VE EVER SEEN WORTH THE RUINED SHIRT also glad you also asked threads that's my new jam
Two big ones: -Get rid of the "pay to win" mechanic of Genie plus -Spend more to hire and keep on qualified imagineers and techs to keep ride maintenance up
I don’t think you need to do a lot of work to justify why different characters from different time periods are out and about at Galaxy’s Edge. Just make the land timeless and schedule the characters to come out at different times so that it isn’t too timeline breaking.
How about an Ichabod's Escape dark ride? I'm a Legend of Sleepy Hollow fanatic. I know it's essential terrifying, but, well, I don't care. I want to be chased by the Headless Horseman.
The connection from Fantasy Land to the forest beyond the park would actually have to be *over* Magic Kingdom Drive as its on the same level as the Utilidor *below* the park. So technically, it could be done.
I would love to see them, if they're going to drop the whole behind the scenes studio aspect, change Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular to a retelling stage show of Raiders. They keep the intro, but Indy gets away instead of run over. Indy hands the idol to Marcus who introduces the US agents who send Indy on the adventure. Add in a bar fight stunt scene. Then the Cairo stunts as is. Have Indy find the Ark and get captured with it. Then do a light show for the opening, and the US agents are called in to take the Ark away. And I would love to have seen Dinoland updated to make Chester and Hester more like the boneyard concept art with an Indiana Jones minecart ride.
I really liked the 50th anniv Cinderella’s castle! Of all the overlays for anniversaries they’ve done, I will never complain about this one! It couldn’t possibly be worse than than 25th candle catastrophe, or the stitch launch haha
I really want them to reskin the Beauty and the Beast ride with an Encanto theme at Disneyland. Then the number of area it could go expands immediately.
I think that a ride that could be added to galaxy’s edge is one where dok indoor needs people to set off on an expedition to these old republic/ high republic temples to search for relics of the era. I’ll like it to be either a trackless boat ride like in Pirates in Shanghai or a water coaster with the boat being themed to some water skiff speeder. You go through the outdoor parts of batuu finding some figures or wildlife that inhabit the planet until reaching this massive temple. Once inside it’s kinda dark and eerie where you start hearing voices of the past in echoes of the force. After getting to this cave within the temple, things become darker with one of those portals from the world between worlds that engulfs you and you find yourself against sith like Vader or maul and going from key event to key event in the Star Wars universe. Kind of like going through your own challenges of being a Jedi. In the end of the ride, after completing these challenges, your rewarded with a holocron you can take back to dok.
Never. Pinocchio is iconic. Not every Disney movie needs representation either. It's not like not having certain movies have no representation is equivalent to taxation without representation.
@@stanfordite1 I never said they all needed representation. It's a children's area. Snow white was too scary, so it got an update.. And as much as I like odd attractions, I feel Mr. Toad fits that and is better loved. Pinocchio can easily be replaced by something more fun for the littles. But don't worry. I'm not queen of disney, so it will never happen.
MY vote; (I'm just sticking with EPCOT on this) OG 'Journey Into Imagination', absolutely! Also, bring back "Maelstrom', or at least make 'Frozen' more educational, like "Elsa's Magical Norway Journey", or something. Add more attractions to World Showcase, AND more pavilions, particularly; Sweden, something from Africa, something from South America, Australia, Russia, (or something thereof) India, and maybe The Philippines or something similar. =)
What really needs to go is that lousy park reservation system ,bring it back to when you could go to any park at any time of day,and brink back the fast pass system Disney gets enough money as it is already. Thats what needs to happen
10. Restore the Peoplemover in Disneyland and the Skyway in both Disneyland and Magic Kingdom 9. Enforce the California theming in DCA and no more Pixar and Marvel. 8. IP mandate is dropped entirely and in instances replaced by a "No IP" mandate. No IP based attractions in EPCOT, period so bye bye Frozen, Ratatouille, and Guardians. New countries such as Israel, Egypt, Spain, and/or Russia. Classic attractions like Horizons, OG Journey into Imagination, and OG Living Seas are restored 7. Return of the Disney MGM Studios name and The Great Movie Ride with a duplicate being added to DCA including a Willy Wonka scene complete with a tunnel sequence. The Wizard of Oz gets a presence in MGM to the point that the characters meet guests including the Witch. 6. No more synergy between the parks and the studios. No more "exit through the gift shop" and no trying to sell merchandise as basis for attractions. 5. Pirates is restored to its original 1967 self (bye bye Jack Sparrow and pc changes). 4. Return of classic Magic Kingdom attractions like Alien Encounter, Snow White's Scary Adventures, 20,000 Leagues, and Mr. Toad. 3. No Tiana anything at all. 2. No more Marvel or Pixar attractions, Galaxy's Edge is torn down. Those will be gone anyway after Uncle Sam breaks Disney up. That also means Tower of Terror returns to DCA 1. Every single decision is made by asking "What would Walt do?" like it was for decades after his death. Cater only to the purists and traditionalists.
My random idea for the Magic Kingdom, change Frontierland to New Orleans Square to make Tiana’s Bayou Adventure fit, build a new Frontierland on the other side of Thunder Mountain to connect to the beyond Thunder Mountain blue sky project, then put in a back gate that enters into Villainland that connects to beyond Thunder Mountain on one side and Fantasyland on the other.
They should have changed Splash Mountain into a Pocahontas themed ride that would have fit better in Frontierland. Keep Tiana's in NO Square in CA where it makes sense and have something different in FL. Too late to do something Pocahontas themed now, but it would be much better in terms of the story of that land.
i used to work in frontierland and it would hurt my soul if they ever got rid of it, it’s so charming the way it is 😭 ik tiana doesn’t fit the theme but the wild west and the country bears have a special place in my heart
For the dinosaurs to Indiana conversion, since the fantasy section never got made, the story could have to do with a mythical herd or unicorns or the zoo of Babylon or something.
For number 10 regarding walkthroughs Disneyland Paris is filled with them from Captain nemo to Aladin, The Dragons lair under the castle and the fort in Frontierland. Agventure isle is another world from rope bridges to intricate themed passages in the caves not to mention the pirate ship. At halloween they sometimes have zombie pirates hiding in the caves jumping out on people as well.
dang i was hoping my thread would win lol. Mine was to expand Disneyland's Big Thunder Mountain railroad with a second track that goes over Thunder Trail to that wooden area adjacent to the Rivers of America. It could be chock full of Mine Train through Natures Wonderland references. Maybe even bring back the big waterfall
Beauty and the Beast ride like in Tokyo Disneyland could easily be built in the back area in back of Be Our Guest. The walkway could be by Gaston's Tavern and would go OVER the existing roadway. In Disneyland, you do not realize you are walking over a very large roadway when walking into / through Downtown Disney. That bridge does not seem like a bridge at all. Build a real castle in back - ditch the small forced perspective one over Be Our Guest and add the ride there with a larger castle but still smaller than Cindy's. What would really be amazing is to include a portion of the building that the train could go through and improve that part of the train ride at the same time.
I love roller coasters and wild rides, but the overlook trail at typhoon lagoon and the swiss family robinson treehouse are also my fave. And yes i agree with u..i mean ur already walking..lol
The biggest problem I have about Dinosaur is you are sent back in time to rescue an iguanodon just before the asteroid hit causing the mass extinction even though the iguanodon was already extinct for millions of years prior to the particular cataclysm.
Animal Kingdom desperately needs to bring to life the Mythical Creatures land, they canceled. Bring us a boat ride, a rollercoaster & a dark ride. You're welcome.
two ideas 1 : hawaiian roller coaster ride - a roller coaster based off Lilo and stitch combining splash mountain and rock'n roller coaster. I would say it would be in maybe epcot in the seas pavilion ( idk if there's room) or maybe hollywood studios. it could be like learning how to serf with lilo and stich. and the second is disney actually listening to what the people want to make more money
Come on people, *Disneyland* was not represented very well in this video. I am sure Offland Disney has many ideas on could be changed there (maybe if we talk nice, he will make Part 2 and include Disneyland). Here are my Top 5 ideas: 1) do something with the Tomorrowland Theater 2) remove Launch Bay (maybe put in Star Wars: Galaxies Edge 3) definitely bring *Beauty and the Beast,* dark ride and *Ratatouille* dark ride to DL 4) bring back some more daytime parades 5) (this might be already happening) bring us a new villain and storyline in Fantasmic (maybe Darth Vader. Palpatine, or even Thanos. *Honorable Mention* - Keep the *Indiana Jones* walk around character as permanent fixture in Adventure (maybe add Marion, Sulla, Marcus)
Yes!!! I'm so glad someone else feels this way. I was so upset with the Cinderella Castle makeover. Control-Z, undo undo! Why do all the castles have to have the same color scheme? I love the personality difference of each castle, keep them unique.
some additional changes. -raya and the last dragon mini land at epcot. just so can the the green box from ratatouille ride. could be theme as a asean (southeast asia) pavilion. -re theme the dino-land to beastly kingdom. the theme would be that they discovered non-dino skeleton. -go full on marvel on re-theme Hollywood backlot at DCA. monters inc ride at in a dr strange ride. world of amination will stay. -have an avatar exhibit on both Disneyland and magic kingdoms tomorrowland. -finish/start the play pavillion
I don't think Dinoland USA should be any of those. I would either put a new "world" land there (maybe like South America or an Oceania/Great Barrier Reef kinda thing) or some creative way to keep the Dinosaur element in there while still matching the quality of the rest of the park.
I love the muppets and I love Star Wars. I feel there’s a missed opportunity staring Disney right in the face. The only experience between Galaxy’s Edge and Star Tours, that I can remember, is Muppet Vision. What if the Muppets stayed but had a Star Wars story makeover? It would make that whole side Star Wars and the muppets would hysterically represent Star Wars characters. The muppets have done it on screen in the past so I’m sure they could do it in the present at the park.
i’m a hollywood studios cast member, i LOVE any idea retheming this poor shell of a land, that backstage area is one of the most important backstage areas in the park. all other backstage is really just roadways. that particular area houses our main break area and cast cafe. that’s also where almost all offices are held. almost the entire staff of DHS depends on this area. the best way to do this would be completely scrapping animation courtyard and pixar place, keeping a walkway to toy story, and revamping that area ( please more cars stuff, the people are begging ). I would also say for zootopia coming to DHS, a big YES. Rather than expanding muppet courtyard, which also wouldn’t be possible, take the opportunity to get rid of commissary lane, and connect grand avenue to zootopia, the heavy animation focus would also blend well with toy story being very close to that area. this would make the park seem so much more thought out
They really need to turn Journey into Imagination into a rethemed Mystic Manor trackless dark ride. Allows you to bring back Dreamfinder as a rethemed Henry Mystic and Figment can take the place of Albert. Much like how they rethemed Test Track into Radiator Springs Racers.
There's just one thing. Test Track was never rethemed. Radiator Springs Racers uses the same ride type but is it's own ride in California Adventure. Test Track was updated when Chevrolet took over sponsorship from GM, but it's still Test Track.
As someone who is in love and kind of obsessed with mystic manor… I agree heavily with OP, and Disney can use the figment comic series as storyline inspiration.
@@nicoleharris4192 yep, I’m basically saying to do the same thing. Take the ride system and layout from Hong Kong Disneyland and turn it into the new Journey Into Imagination at EPCOT.
Sleeping Beauty ride!!!! YES. I think every theme park with their castle should have a ride the goes with the castle. Not in it or anything, just near it. IMO The Star Wars solution is to do three sections for three trilogies. The Rise of the Resistance ride stays as is, you only see characters from the Sequel Trilogy there. The Bazaar and Smuggler's Run are the OG trilogy, they change the CG on the ride to reflect this. The bar, and both stage areas, droid depot, build your own lightsaber, are prequel themed. Also, why lightsabers would be more common in that area (which doesn't make sense with the cannon they have it set in now, for that matter.) You can basically avoid seeing characters from the "wrong era" near eachother using this method as well. So Vader would never be hanging out with Rey.
It’s always sunny in Philadelphia ride. In seriousness, an Australia area themed to the outback with a ride based on the bunyip, and a subsection themed to Bluey for preschoolers would be great.
Like Indiana Jones, I just don’t think Moana fits ANIMAL Kingdom. I really wish they’d just give DinoLand USA an overhaul or even incorporate Ice Age now that they own Blue Sky. Just feels like a lot of the original intent and ideas behind Animal Kingdom are being lost. A lot of the recent additions to the Orlando parks have felt like they were a bit of a stretch. Like Disney World should’ve just opened a fifth gate by now…
A change that needs to be made is making available land for the Western River Expedition in the Magic Kingdom. We want the Thunder Mesa land, Disney please do us a favor and bring back this beloved attraction from its grave.
Also, is there an option to turn animation courtyard area into what they got going in DCA? I know not everyone is a fan of the Hollywoodland but i love everything about animation academy, sorcerer's workshop, off the page etc
Yeah Indiana Jones flopped so hard at the box office there is no way they’d make a whole area for it. There is bigger movies they haven’t even made an attraction that would fit better like Encanto 🥹 Zootopia like you said would look great at HS rather than DAK. Epcot most definitely needs to be redone. That whole plan for Epcot also flopped and the World Showcase is super dead it’s basically a walking gift shop that hasn’t updated (besides France) in YEARS. A Figment movie would definitely not be a success sadly 😭 Disney is already not in a good place with movies and I don’t think that’ll be any better. The Beauty and the Beast show needs to be changed at Hollywood Studios already and honestly as much as I love the entrance to HS and Hollywood Blvd it just doesn’t fit in w/ the park anymore with the direction they took the park with. The awkward area where Voyage of Little Mermaid is awkward and so is the dead end where Toy Story Mania used to be. They are wasting a lot of space there. I’ve never been to Disneyland but the Toontown looks really nice from the clip you showed. Magic Kingdom needs a whole facelift. It’s too much to even type. From the awkward Adventureland where Aladdin’s Magic Carpets are to the very obvious Tomorrowland. Also Tokyos Beauty and the Beast ride looks like what they wanted the Fantasyland Ariel ride to be like 😭 except they totally missed the mark.
At least give me a themed restaurant in Adventureland or something.
give constance hatchaway a real animatronic build. and go all out, disney. cmon. please. i need this in my life, and i need it now
A Pinnochio marionette show would be pretty cool to have in the Magic Kingdom. Like in the Village Haus maybe
More street entertainment, especially in Hollywood Studios.
Throwing in a ride for every country would be amazing, maybe using IP to their advantage. A historical/cultural experience but with some known characters. Like a Hercules ride in Rome
My ideas:
Add a Greece Pavilion to Epcot.
And it would keep the tot-friendly area!
this is the best idea for what to do with dinoland ive seen! totally fresh while fitting seamlessly w the park and it’s mission!
Finally, someone else that likes the idea of Australia! A retheme of the Finding Nemo show building to the Sydney Opera house is such a cool idea that would bring new light to the show. The remaining part of Dinoland could also fit in with the theme as a town with a research facility in the Outback, keeping a lot of the previous plot and theming from before
you are a genius
Or Oceania instead of Australia but still I like that idea
I love the Australia idea
Personally, I want more countries in the World Showcase. India, Greece, and Egypt specifically would be incredible. You could put a Jungle Book attraction in India, a Hercules attraction in Greece, and maybe even some kind of Indiana Jones attraction in Egypt. It would be especially cool if Egypt and Greece were themed to appear as they did thousands of years ago rather than how they do now. If anyone at Disney just so happens to read this, please make it happen!
A Peru pavilion would be perfect for a PULL THE LEVER KRONK rollercoaster
I want to see more African country representation and South America. Also, maybe even an Oceania themed pavilion!
@@vespista1971 Yes, I agree that countries from South America and/or Oceania should get priority if possible.
I would do anything for more countries.
Aw that's one of my favorite gift shops
Yeah, a dark ride through time to see animatronics of different extinct animals in their natural habitats would be cool.
I just want them to keep the dinosaurs. Personally, I'd like to see audio-animatronic dinosaurs based on the fossil displays at The Boneyard. For example, based on The Bonyard, they could build a ride where two audio-animatronic Triceratops lock horns.
This is a amazing idea
Thanks a ton, I'm glad you liked it!
@@kdusel1991 yeah, I agree. I don't really think either fits in AK but I'd love the Indy ride to come to HS
I think Indy would be a better fit at Epcot's World Showcase.
I swear this next video has gotta be living with the land themed. it’s been a month of empty promises. i need more breadfruit content dallin
What's a Living with the Land
@@OffhandDisneystop. no. die. that mean.
@@OffhandDisneyMy favorite attraction is also Haunted Mansion/Phantom Manor. What's your wife's favorite attraction?
We all need more breadfruit content❤
It looks fine and bad at different angles, the gold trim just blends into it, and like you said in the video give it a very spray tan skin-toned look.
i didnt know about the 50th castle and painted my nails the exact shade of blue it was before they changed it, i was so upset lolol it looked horrible
I totally agree with you that a classic dark ride for Sleeping Beauty would be fantastic!
Cinderella needs one too!
Really? What was it going to be like?
I used to work at sunset ranch market at hollywood studios and the backstage where the potential pixar area could be was a hub for a bunch of different areas. There was a cast member cafeteria connected to the back of hollywood brown derby. And basically all of sunset blvd, launchbay, and disney jr cast members used that space. I do love the hollywood land idea though and believe the area could use so upgrading!! I would love to see the area possibly incorporate old school animation from the 1920s-1940s in the theming as it would fit the era (like the snow white idea)!
I'd love to see more live entertainment come back to the parks. Things like the fife and drum corps that used to play in Liberty Square.
Yes please! I loved when they had more random live entertainment like the garbage can band and Push the robot in Tomorrowland!!
I'm trash, but:
Galactic Staircruiser becomes S.E.A. / Haunted Mansion Resort (with a hotel guest-only ride) I have a lot of thoughts on this
AK Dinotopia becomes Gravity Falls
MK Fairytale Hall becomes Tangled dark ride
HS Animation Courtyard Areabecomes w/ Great Movie Ride, but it's all defunct rides ('Great Ride Ride')
Epcot: Just more rides
Electrify the cars at Autopia and Tomorrowland Speedway. Seriously, Disney? Internal combustion engines in Tomorrowland?
Probably the easiest upgrade they could do to anything at the parks.
I've been saying this for years!
I agree! More uniqueness to each of the parks.
My top 5
1. Give the Disneyland park in Paris a ride after 30 ******* years lol😅😅!!! Let it be the proposed little mermaid ride.
2. And also every resort around the world need Figment in some capacity
3. Bring back Cinemagique and Timekeeper. (In Disneyland and Wdw)
4. Build a Greece pavillion in Epcot
5. Reimagine Pixar Pier in a more American Waterfront area like Disney Sea can still be Pixar themed.
10. re-theme Tower of Terror to Gravity Falls where Stan has bought the tower and wants to make it a hotel, only to incur the wrath of the ghosts
9. A Tangled dark ride at Fantasy land
8. A new Indiana Jones ride in Adventureland
7. Bring Sea of Dreams to EPOCT
6. Powerline re-theme of Rockin Roller coaster
5. a Disney Villain dark ride set in Maleficents castle
4. get ride of Monsters Laugh floor and bring in a Tron show in the vain of the Bourne show at Universal
3. I don't know what to put here
2. nope, got nothing here either
1. get rid of Star Wars Launch Bay and replace it with the scraped Muppets Movie Ride
Someone who gets paid more than I can figure out how that will work but I know it can 😂
I'd rather have a Indiana Jones Rida at one of the World Showcase pavilions at EPCOT.
Two Star Wars walk through attractions/meet and greets for Galaxy’s Edge
1) ancient Jedi temple walk through where you get to meet “force visions” of awesome Jedis: Obi Wan, Qui Gon Jinn, Anikan, Luke
2) creepy force cave walk through where you encounter force visions of Darth Vader, Maul, the Emperor, or the Grand Inquisitor.
Dinosaur needs to be updated and kept its one of the few rides that is actually fun and thrilling at the same time
I agree! If universal didn't go with Jurassic Park for islands of adventure I'd say just turn dinoland into Jurassic Park.
My ten changes would be
10. Bring back the peoplemover
9. Give me. Toad and Pinocchio digital updates
8. Rip out the Matterhorn track and rebuild it
7. Move star tours into galaxy’s edge in every park and then in HWS make that area muppet themed and in DLR make it a original concept or a stitch dark ride
6. Close mike and sully to the rescue and make it a muppet themed dark ride going through their backstage area
5. Retheme figment to a better version of figment
4. Five living with the land a loop de loop
The real 4. Close the weird area in DLR fantasyland where the phantom boats used to be and make it an area for a Fantasia boat ride
3. Give Disneyland’s haunted mansion new hitchhiking ghosts but keep the ones in the mirror and bring back the ones in the mirror for wdw
A Sleepy Hollow ride!?!?? I would divorce, quit my job, and move in!
The Animal Kingdom river ride could become a Jungle Book attraction.
The emperors new groove thrill ride (possibly roller coaster) would be good in the new villains area if they actually go through with that idea
I was going to comment my thoughts BUT THAT AD WITH THE ACTUAL BATHBOMB IN THE TUB WAS THE BEST AD I'VE EVER SEEN WORTH THE RUINED SHIRT
also glad you also asked threads that's my new jam
Two big ones:
-Get rid of the "pay to win" mechanic of Genie plus
-Spend more to hire and keep on qualified imagineers and techs to keep ride maintenance up
I don’t think you need to do a lot of work to justify why different characters from different time periods are out and about at Galaxy’s Edge.
Honestly… I would love an Aladdin dark ride
I really want them to reskin the Beauty and the Beast ride with an Encanto theme at Disneyland. Then the number of area it could go expands immediately.
Yes, more countries represented in the worlds fair. We've been waiting decades. And let's get Fujicoaster while we're at it.
I've always thought it would be cool to have a dark ride through a droid factory.
@@ttintagel that’ll be pretty sick.
I would like to see Pinocchio's Daring Journey changed to a Cinderella or Sword in the Stone dark ride. Or Tangled. Or anything else!
As much as I love Winnie the Pooh, I would LOVE a Robin Hood dark ride, and goal of the ride is to hijack Prince John’s carriage.
I just know if they removed Pinocchio people would somehow find a way to complain saying Disney is getting too woke.
Went to Disneyland for the 1st time in years a few months ago and loved the Pinocchio ride I would want that to stay :/
Greece pavilion at epcot with Hercules ride would be PEAK
Of the walk through attractions have handicap accessible trails that aren't just slapped together as a consolation. Not everyone can go up stairs
10. Restore the Peoplemover in Disneyland and the Skyway in both Disneyland and Magic Kingdom
Classic attractions like Horizons, OG Journey into Imagination, and OG Living Seas are restored
That also means Tower of Terror returns to DCA
Tiana's Bayou Adventure fits perfectly in Frontierland. Much better than Splash Mountain ever did.
Dark rides are the BEST attractions, especially as someone who gets quite sick on the more intense rollercoasters/simulators
You're welcome.
two ideas
1 : hawaiian roller coaster ride - a roller coaster based off Lilo and stitch combining splash mountain and rock'n roller coaster.
Here are my Top 5 ideas:
1) do something with the Tomorrowland Theater
2) remove Launch Bay (maybe put in Star Wars: Galaxies Edge
3) definitely bring *Beauty and the Beast,* dark ride and *Ratatouille* dark ride to DL
4) bring back some more daytime parades
5) (this might be already happening) bring us a new villain and storyline in Fantasmic (maybe Darth Vader.
I love the Living with the Land music in the tub at the end. That's was perfect.
I don't think Dinoland USA should be any of those. I would either put a new "world" land there (maybe like South America or an Oceania/Great Barrier Reef kinda thing) or some creative way to keep the Dinosaur element in there while still matching the quality of the rest of the park.
The world between the worlds in star wars sounds very wibbly wobbly timey wimey
I love the muppets and I love Star Wars. I feel there’s a missed opportunity staring Disney right in the face. The only experience between Galaxy’s Edge and Star Tours, that I can remember, is Muppet Vision. What if the Muppets stayed but had a Star Wars story makeover? It would make that whole side Star Wars and the muppets would hysterically represent Star Wars characters. The muppets have done it on screen in the past so I’m sure they could do it in the present at the park.
If they ever do make the Great Muppet Movie Ride, it 100% needs a Star Wars scene.
i’m a hollywood studios cast member, i LOVE any idea retheming this poor shell of a land, that backstage area is one of the most important backstage areas in the park. all other backstage is really just roadways. that particular area houses our main break area and cast cafe. that’s also where almost all offices are held. almost the entire staff of DHS depends on this area. the best way to do this would be completely scrapping animation courtyard and pixar place, keeping a walkway to toy story, and revamping that area ( please more cars stuff, the people are begging ).
I love the way you edit your videos! It's so funny and a lot of fun to watch. Thanks for your videos!
Also, why lightsabers would be more common in that area (which doesn't make sense with the cannon they have it set in now, for that matter.)
You can basically avoid seeing characters from the "wrong era" near eachother using this method as well. So Vader would never be hanging out with Rey.
It’s always sunny in Philadelphia ride.
In seriousness, an Australia area themed to the outback with a ride based on the bunyip, and a subsection themed to Bluey for preschoolers would be great.
Thanks for including my Hollywoodland idea! 😊
Like Disney World should’ve just opened a fifth gate by now…
WRT dark rides, especially an Aurora dark ride: YOU'RE RIGHT AND YOU SHOULD SAY IT EVEN LOUDER 🎉
A change that needs to be made is making available land for the Western River Expedition in the Magic Kingdom. We want the Thunder Mesa land, Disney please do us a favor and bring back this beloved attraction from its grave.
I think they should just go full retro 1950’s style future for Tomorrowland
Also, is there an option to turn animation courtyard area into what they got going in DCA? I know not everyone is a fan of the Hollywoodland but i love everything about animation academy, sorcerer's workshop, off the page etc
In Anaheim they should remove the Fantasyland Theatre (the one from 1985) and in its place have the Beauty and the Beast dark ride from Tokyo 🤩
