Your story is like a fantasy fairy tale. Particularly true. Your young dynamic power is really burning. Your future is part of a high quality of life. All work involves occupational safety. Be careful. Live a fairytale reality. Thank you for allowing many to follow.
I’ve only just found you, but I’ve loved this episode so much I’m going to watch each one bit by bit. It looks amazing, well done for taking on such a huge project. X
First of all to find a partner to do what you all did is a blessing in itself as this challenge was not for the faint hearted The patience and endurance you both worked with are admirable Inch by inch you swept and worked tediously it was a beauty to watch I bet you both learnt a lot about your own selves in this process more than anything else I wish I have friends like you Well done guys 👏👏
Very good what these young people do! Bringing life to the countryside again. New trend, changing and improving society from the bottom upwards. Great! Wishing you staying power and success!
Oh I so fell in love with what you both have done for this place. It reminds me of starting my own small tiny garden after moving to a new place. I love the transformation and to see you guys doing it in Spain, one of the countries I would love to visit. Happy to find you on this platform, I will definitely follow your journey. Please do update and keep them coming. Much love from Borneo :-)
I've been watching your vids for a long time, but actually not from the beggining! So here I am 😅, watching your first vid, to see how you started! You should be proud of yourself, look what you done for such a short time! Cheers 💗
one crop that might be worth a try is sweet peppers, but they'll probably need a wooden frame with netting covering to protect them from small birds and an irrigation system.
The enthusiasm, energy and above all, vision and knowledge that this young couple exemplifies is exactly the type of permaculture buyer that I want for my beloved property in Cookeville, TN. Twenty acres with a year round spring (pump house) AND city water is too much work for us now.
Awesome place! Amazed at the natural resources, fruits nuts, herbs, a spring, fattest worm I've ever seen, good for garden! Enjoyed this video. I will look for more!
Nice to see your ( quietly working ) video. Great progress so far, it just takes time, and it looks like you had a starting point a least. I’m carving a little farm out of the jungle here in Thailand, and some days it feels like it’s ten times larger than it is, but at 79 years old, slow is the magic word. Best wishes, Go slow, enjoy life, it will all be worth it. One question, why Spain ? Always nice to know .
Thank you! 💚 We chose Spain because Mauro's family live here and we wanted to be close to one of our families. Land is unaffordable in the UK - so Spain it was!
Great bones. I like that you seem to be making use of what you have. So many of similar projects on here seem to over-restore when there is no need. Rustic and repurposed is best, save your money for what is essential.
The water snake is Natrix maura, the Viperine snake, completely harmless, non venomous, and very reluctant to bite so no need to worry about yourselves or your dog - their name actually simply derives from the viper like markings down their back : )
Congratulations guys. That is lots and lots of work. But the progress is amazing to see. It is a dream of mine to have a small holding in Spain, very motivating to see.
I just found your channel yesterday. I have watched a couple of your videos and am excited to see your progress. Good luck and please keep the videos coming.
Hi Guys, I have just found your channel and am watching your videos with great interest. You are so lucky to have water but the work must be very hard to do manually. We have no water other than rain but we have plenty of machines to do the work. I did start out manually but at my age, I would be dead before making any real progress, We will restart our own adventure and get back on the land this year. You are about 1.5 hours north of us. Good luck with your venture.
Hi, lovely to hear from you! The work is hard, yes, at this stage we're keen to try and do as much by hand as we can but maybe we can integrate animals to help us once we're a bit more experienced! If you're ever around this way, you're very welcome to drop by - we love meeting other folks on similar paths!
Hi I love you garden. I was wondering where in Spain you're , and what's the winter like there , and the cast of buying a small holding? You're doing so well.
Wonderful stuff. I admire you. Those days when it gets tough, when you wonder why you're doing it, whether you should give up and just take a 9-7 job,: give me a call and I'll get give you an answer. As soon as I get out of yet another pointless, soul-sapping meeting. I content myself with knowing my daughter will have the freedom to follow her dreams like you're doing.
Hi guys, I am a new subscriber from South Africa, great job that you are doing. You were saying that the water pressure from the spring is very weak. Have you by any chance considered using a ram pump? Push the water from the spring to the tank on top of the house and then use the tank for your water source. I would really love to do something like you are doing. Don't know the complications involved going from South Africa to Spain. Enjoy.
Thank you, actually I had thought about a pump as some point in the trajectory, although a ram pump hadn't occurred to me. We have managed for the time being without a pump, I will be publishing a video about it soon, but we may well need a pump in the future anyway so will definitely keep it in mind!
I come from the islands of years wars where everything is built from the ground as a stone homes and eat from what we plants we raised our chickens and cows and pigs and all that and as the kids grow they want to go towards the city the funny thing is is years that go by and everyone wants to return to the Village because that's what piece is it whole ways has been you can go away from home but there's always something that brings you back buy me living in United States for a couple years now I do miss the fact that I lived in such a clean Islands in such a peaceful place that I crave to go back and live the rest of my life there
That sounds idyllic! Here in Spain there is also a rural depopulation issue, for a long time young people have been leaving the rural areas, but I think we are starting to see a slight change now. Hope you can get back to your islands some day!
