I'm going to have to disagree that most Middle Eastern fragrances are dupes. I wear predominantly Middle Eastern brands like Gissah, Oman Luxury, Amouage, Arabian Oud, Dar Al Teeb, Hind Al Oud, ASQ, etc. and they make entirely original fragrances. There are so many more originals that a lot of westerners have never even heard about because we're only familiar with dupe houses hyped up on social media. Not saying there is anything wrong with that because I have one dupe I really enjoy layering with. But Middle Eastern fragrances run from cheap crap to original luxury perfumes just like the west.
Straight facts! I jumped down the rabbit hole of ME fragrances and now I think I have more ME than designer perfumes now and there’s more on the way 😂 they’re definitely addictive.
Yhyh... Not just financially, but health wise too.. I noticed I started having cold after using strong fragrance... But I still use it right after the cold is gone. 😅
I think theyre addictive because they mimic that luxury feeling. We're all chasing that experince of having something new and beautiful that smells different from what we have.. Im trying ao hard now to look at what I have and enjoy what i have as I have enough perfume to last me a good 5 years or more! We can get enjoyment free from what we already have.
I think that's the idea behind it. The fact that we can grab affordable options that make us feel luxurious and expensive is the secret to why we keep buying more. It's a feeling we're chasing!

Hi, I am not trying to be disrespectful to your views but as someone who has been collecting perfumes since I was so young (and am now mature like a fine old wine🤣) and have been in the position of inheriting so many wonderful perfumes, I do not feel that Middle Eastern perfumes are not as good as designer niche perfumes. I must add to this though, that I have never bought any perfume to try and dupe another scent . The perfumes I buy , I buy because I love the notes and know or believe they will suit me. I had Covid some time ago and was very ill and have long covid symptoms. I found that my designer niche perfumes and other loved perfumes just did not do enough for me. I needed a total change, or my body chemistry changed or my sense of smell changed but by accident I came across a M E perfume oil which I adored and that one I could smell all day on my own skin and got so many compliments that people stopped me in the street. This started my journey into M E scents and it has been such a joy. I love how I can wear these and not seem to get nose blind to my own perfume. I love the perfumes that are 'oriental' or have a distinct M E feel but still wear some Chypre perfumes and Gourmands and so on. I bought my husband also 5 M E scents and he loves them and also feels they last longer. But again I did not purposely buy any to dupe any other perfume. I can honestly say I feel the M E perfumes that I now consider signature scents or so often reach for as well are actually at least of the same quality as my other perfumes and again longevity seems to be better ( to my nose and with my body chemistry) than the designer niche ones. Again perhaps it has to do with my body chemistry and we all smell things differently and I also have not bought a dupe. Why would I anyway do this? If I love a perfume, designer niche or whatever, why would I buy a dupe for this if I love the OG? Kindest regards, Tia
True. It is a rabbit hole. So I have to ❤ it ❤it before buying.. Deloea perfume is a dupe of my have discontinued and I must have it.Aftwr 20 or 30 perfumes you say to yourself at least I dont have 1000 bottles or 600 bottles those women have problems.😏 But nope overspending is overspending.
Yeah. Personally I feel like if you're a lover and a collector you should hover between 150 to 200 and not exceed that limit. And if you're a normal person 20-30 bottles is perfect!
