I never thought of it that way, but you're kind of right in a sense because Majin means Devil in Japanese and the mark of the beast is either taken on the forehead or the right hand, and since Vegeta took the Majin symbol on his forehead it means he took the mark of the Devil. It seems interesting to think about though that Vegeta took it and was controlled but still fought against it and overcame it, but ended up still going to the Other World (Dragon Balls Heaven) after he died, whereas if it were real life he would have gone to hell.
