Joe’s the best and must have one of the best bands in the world behind him. His “Live at the Greek Theatre” concert is a towering monument to the Blues.
That three kings live at the Greek was just something else. Unbelievable band and his playing and singing were just transcendent. I can’t stop playing it! The material helps - he stole from the best for that one! He deserves everything that comes to him
Saw Joe last month in Brighton; I think he is the best guitarist around and he has a great band. Also thinking that he is generally under-appreciated (just a feeling!) and not recognised enough in the music world. Maybe in the future the muso-press influencer type people will look back and realise just how good he is!! :)
Looks like a Fender BDR (but it's probably something more expensive). I have a BDR and have played many a gig with just that amp, a lead, and a Telecaster. Set loud and on the overdrive channel, but not too dirty, the guitar's volume control is all that's needed to clean up.
Although Robben Ford has been doing the same for over a decade with his 1960 blond Tele through a Dumble, or if he is travelling and doesn't want to ship the amp, he will use a Fender (reverb model) valve with a Zendrive for the Dumble sound. If he does use a little delay or boost live it's on the minor side without distortion and generally to lift the level of the Tele's single coils to meet the auditorium. No hum-bucker on Ford's Tele. ua-cam.com/video/EIhDx5XKRXg/v-deo.html
Saw Joe with this band (minus the drummer and bass player, he had two diff guys) and they absolutely killed it. That Tele sounds insane. And Josh Smith sounded great, just laid back the whole time til he took a little solo one time. Reese obviously is top notch, no surprise there.
Different rhythm section. I really love how this drummer played it. Imo, more of an authentic pocket and laid back blues feel compared to the normal kid Joe is using.
Better yet…next time we need a Steve Mackey solo!! 🤘Glad to see he’s got himself a mighty cool gig!! My dear old Dad used to talk extremely highly of Steve. Loved talking blues with him. Met him back in his Julie Manor days…way back bus there. Lol!

Nice to see Joe on a Tele adding clarity and bite to his lead. Not knocking Gibson at all, the OD Les Paul thing can get a little repetitive after a few songs. Same with Gary Moore - incredible LP / Marshall solos but he could do so much more playing clean.
Should have played one of his classics. Blues Deluxe would have been incredible…or John Henry. It’s not often he’ll get this kind of opportunity to bring in a new audience on live TV that could have gone viral. Bad management.
Well, I think John Henry (one of my and my women, best song of Bonamassa) is too heavy for live TV. Too much emotional too reach out to the public in the couches of England 🏴. And….we`re Swedish 😂We have been to many concerts with Joe and the last couple of years he didn’t play John Henry. It’s so powerful and fills you with energy. Just listen to the version on ” Live over Europe” with Black Country Communion. Well if that version don’t blow you away….I don’t know what you made off. Long Live Joe!
@@DefektaMods Perhaps you’re right. My favourite version is from Live at ‘Red Rocks’. So much so in fact, I’m sat on my couch right now with a guitar around my neck, playing the guitar solo from that version. I’ll be sure to check out the Live from Europe version. Tack!

Best live album I've ever heard! Their version of hummingbird is phenomenal from that show!
@@davidchuckworth7249 Hummingbird, yes!
I’ve just discovered Joe thanks to Jools. Absolutely brilliant.

Joe does alright, he has always been an independent artist, we don't really have a mainstream music industry any longer!
this performance is so good! Joe is getting better and better.
This band is absolutely elite
I love that tele sound!
straight into a tube amp no pedals old school that tele sounds amazing

@@ParaBellum2024 It's a Fender Bonamassa High Power Tweed Twin, beast of an amp
@@BenjaminReichmann Thank you. Twice the power and about five times the price of my BDR!

Watch the live version from his “Tales of Time” concert with his full band! 🤯
Brilliant! What a classic performance by all and song. So catchy. Thanks Joe and band! 🙏🏻
Hello, how are you doing, hope your staying safe?
Used to watch this guy for free in Vegas 7 or 8 years ago. Just bought tix for $150 ea.to see him play in Reno. Yeah he's worth it.
Saw him perform with the exact same band 2 weeks ago, he’s really great. It was the day just before his birthday
Josh Smith laid back in the pocket. A true pro. If you don't know, he's an absolute monster player and worth checking out. A great combo with Joe

Joe B. = A Legend In The Making . ⚡️⚡️⚡️✨✨✨✨🎸🇺🇸😎
Definitely want to check this guy out, he absolutely rocked 👍
This should win a Grammy
I've been in the "Curch of Bonamassa!" He reaches my soul. It's absolutely powerful. You can get through anything with this.
Saw this man live in Durham NC and it's one of my best memories.

Yeh... You know you're pretty decent at this game when you've got Josh Smith playing rhythm Guitar for you...
True that bro. 😃
And Kirk Fletcher before that. Both awesome.
I took a video/zoom lesson from Josh last year. What a great guy and so knowledgable.
Kirk fletch hell yeah but ur wrong jobos a fucking god
Yeah Bro I have put that same comment on some other videos and Kirk Fletcher too Joe is a cool cat and like a lot of his tunes!
What a talent and boy can he make that guitar wail!!! Would love to see him live.
Brilliant live. Take earplugs. He is loud, very loud!
Its and excellent show and evening. I highly recommend the experience.
I LOVE THAT 👍🌟👌🌟🌟🌟❤🇺🇸
That was darn good. JB has it nailed.
❤❤❤❤ 😊😊😊😊

Where is Antoine Fig and his usual bassist? Phenomenal performer- just picked up tickets to my 3rd show in Nor Cal and first since COVID

Best Tele sound I’ve heard since Beck’s Cause We’ve Ended...
Reese on the old upright ….yessssss
Strong hands.

❤💖😎👍❤
Very very cool, pity Josh didnt get a go as well !
Fantastic as always, they could have given his voice a bit of reverb though.

51 No Caster. Joe claims this is his favorite guitar. Considering he owns all of them, that says something.

Joe Gear Amasser.

Ditch (you have to) the old drummer.... not interested in anything you're doing
Yawwwwnnnnnnnnnn. !
Never like this kind of using music. Heavy, technic with no soul, big ego. No...
Boring
