Update: We have checked about 12 lands so far and it's a fun and interesting process in coming days. We will show options from beach land to in land and even some farm lands hehe (coconut). Unfortunately the properties we checked today are way out of my budget, even if it was half or the prices so the search continues:)

One option you can offer a DP deposit 30% payable perhaps in 5 years.
Contract agreement is a MUST. Second option creat a corporation, the company is allowed to purchase land, in a 60/40 basis, your share 40% one 20% four 10%. You won't regret if you sealed the deal with good agreement.

Hello Finn, just caught up with this video. Here my 10 cents worth. 1) I understand the attraction of being close to the water, but personally I would not purchase a beach front property. Think about severe storms or a Tsunami. Also sea levels are raising, in 5 years or so, you may find that your property has halved in size!!! 2) Empty properties may appear large at first sight, but once you erect a decent sized building the land will quickly feel smaller. As I said these are just my opinions! Have fun and my wife and I wish that you achieve your ideal dream property. Planning and building can also be a challenge, but rewarding and great fun.
Finn, I commented many of your videos over a year ago. I stated I am inspired by your love of my country. Here I am leaving in the US you made me open my eyes to really come home every year and enjoy the beauty of my country. Corona hits here I am unable to go home. I am excited that you are exploring my Island as a possible future home. I am from Dumaguete, if you decide to own a property there. I hope one day we can’t meet and Inday Sherlyn.
When we bought our waterfront property 6 years ago it was high priced too but we’re lucky we got it the price we want. The seller didn’t know it’s a foreign buyer till we’re signing the deeds and my hubby only saw the place (5months later) after all the paperworks done. We got a 2400sqm for 3M facing Samal Island, Davao gulf. Good luck to you.
Finn, I was going to buy a house in Mindanao and the family backed out. My Filipina girlfriend found a lot 598 square meters for a good price. The lot and I built a small 1 bedroom and 1.5 bathroom house for 379,236.00 pesos... it looks like a nice house. Just haven't gotten the chance to be in it because of COVID-19. But you guys will find the perfect place. I have been subscriber for over 4 years now. I am so happy that you and Sherlyn are still together for all these years. Take care my friend.

Apply the " Law of Attraction"! Don't rush too much. Work hard on it, when it's the right time, it will come. Let Sherilyn do the bargaining. For a land, you should be able to buy one that is less than Php 1m only. Don't get taken, they think bec. you are a foreigner, they will charge you more. Good luck you folks!

It took us a while to find land. We were able to find a hilltop land next to the ocean although it has a rocky beach. On the bright side we were able to get mango trees. The land is on Guimaras. Best wishes. God bless and stay safe.

Its a great decision, buying your own property, you can save tremendous energy jumping from one place to another, also financial problem will be eliminated not totally ofcourse but half of trouble and then again u can have ur permanent place to settle down, u can achieve peace of mind and u can relax a lot nothing to worry perhaps along the line in the future you cab experience someone calling u dad and shey mom wow so lovely

We own a lot of properties in PH (residential, commercial and farming) and we have learned a lot of lessons. To save you from a lot of headaches and scams, make sure they have a clean title and no lean on the property! DO NOT buy a property base on trust and a handshake alone or you will regret it, even if it's a close friend or family.

For me my suggestion is better to buy land in a not soo much higher ground overlooking the sea for safety if ever there's typhoon coming. I think it's much cheaper price

Love some of the location you checked out Finn and Sherlyn. Lots of vegetation close to the sea n unusual to see a tree I the sea. I was lucky bc I was able to get Liza to buy small land on Papa lot n build our little house from this Thursday our Beauty Store will fully open to our customers. Store dimensions are 15 mt long n 12 mt wide.

Buying a land is the best investment....whatever happened land is still there and the price never go down, specially along the beach. Its precious...take it...the sq meter in a city or town is about 5K average now....

You better check what is the on going price of lands in the area where the lands/lots are located , the land use, the right of way , the allowed frontage / how far is the land/property from the shoreline. When they see that a foreigner is buying sometimes they will up the price.

The second plot is workable. At 1200sqm, you can sell half of it or sell 700sqm and keep the 500. Or the other way around.

Hello Finn! Negros is beautiful place but the price was a little bit too high. I would recommend to check out camotes island since it's closer to cebu city and with the 7M price, you can buy 3 to 5 times the size of the lot in Poro, Camotes area. Happy hunting! 😊

We had just sell our 900 square meters there few months ago...
buying a land near the beach is better talk directly to the owner , ask the lowest price and make bargaining then check the title and re check in municipality , and both party's agree make a deed of sale with a certified lawyer on witnes then register in municipality with your name or wife
Hello there, just subscribed, Dauin is my wife's hometown. I know a property for sale there but it's not a beach front property. It's a 700 sqare meter residential lot very close to the Dauin Public Market and very near the National Highway.
The road is so nice now I see why the land there is a bit expensive and I think mall will start to build somewhere in the area

I think it is very important when buying a beach land or any inland property that it include public access to the main road; otherwise, conflict would arise with other private land owners if one has to go thru to their property.
