This is JUST what I needed. We are starting a new campaign with the Rock as our home base where we work for a sanctioned guild. I have re-flavored mind flayers as thralls of Cthulu who the party will "accidentally" awaken and calls forth the horrors of the deep astral see and other planes from Planescape to annihilate all who don't succombe to his calls.
The best SJ supplement ever put out! Currently running a Pathfinder SJ game out of Bral! Three years in, and my PC's have been run out of town, working for Hastain, while the yakuza have teamed up with the Jester to bring her son (Aric cozar) back in power with help from the Shou empire.
Would love to play a campaign based primarily on Bral. Maybe an adaption of Dragon Heist &/or Murder in Baldur's Gate (for the first few levels) or something...
There is a lot here for just that. Plus with Andru's brother potentially being held prisoner in the caverns under the castle would lead to many an adventure.
I've noticed you keep using protagonist in place of antagonist. The player characters are the protagonists. Other than that excellent video, great shake down of Bral
There cannot be 80 mindflayers. Surely the logistics of reliably bringing 80 Thralls per month to consume requires an empire sized colony... I thought that collapsed already?
That is a huge amount of information contained in slim package. Thanks for taking the time to touch on the highlights and give us a great overview.
Thank you for this video it is well put together and just what I needed for a refresh on Bral!
Bro HIT AFTER HIT all you do is make good videos bruh keep it up

That sounds like a blast!
@Bellinak Show I'll update as we go on. Session zero was two weeks ago, session 1 tomorrow!
12:44 I think you mean Antagonist not pro..

How about a Mass Effect style Spelljammer game, with the Rock taking the place of the citadel from M.E. how awesome would that be?
Seems like you'll have that option soon enough. Can't wait until Agust!
Time to free Bral from tyranny and ask any pirates willing to join in the fight!
Awesome breakdown. Thank you for making this. Subscribed.

I noticed that too
Great overview, thanks for putting this together.
Wonderful video!❤
I wonder if I should get this instead of Radiant Citadel?

The maps you're using, where are they from?
They are from 1992's SJR5 The Rock of Bral.
@@bellinakshow2694 sweet, thank you!
uploaded one of my renders I did years ago for Bral to my Deviantart page, if you are interested :)
Weird how vile Neogi seem when there's Mindflayers. There's no "Typically" evil about them, they're an irredeemable race imo
