People have been asking about getting a harp, so I'll add a few more notes: - You may have to explore around the right side of the map - A harp sometimes appears closer to the middle - As long as you get one, you'll be able to purchase more from the item shop
I hate to make a 'correction' because this is a very well made guide, but in my humble opinion, there's a better EXP/Rupee farming map that does the job a bit better than Master Quest A8. Great Sea G4 is this square: imgur.com/gallery/KiRTS0d on the Great Sea map, and it's basically Master Quest A8, but better. It has a similar tactic of defeating 2 Dark enemies to make reinforcements appear. It also has 3 giant bosses appear similarly to MQ A8. The difference is that because this is a 'Win the KO Competition!' square, you are competing against infinitely respawning Rogue Forces. In total, the map gives you: 2 Dark Skull Kids 1 Manhandla 1 Helmaroc King 1 Argorok 3 Lizalfos (not sure on the numbers) Infinitely spawning enemy forces, namely Stone Blins. Infinitely respawning numbers of the following captains: Ganondorf Midna Sheik Ghirahim As compared to MQ A8, which gives: 2 Dark Ganondorfs 1 Argorok 2 Manhandlas 3 Dinolfos Infinite Shield Moblins 1 Lana 1 Ghirahim 1 Agitha Also, when you defeat a Rogue Captain in Great Sea G4, it'll spawn even more grunts that fuel your special meter. While it can be challenging due to the Rogue Forces all having red auras, the payoff is definitely worth it. It does have 2 players, but requires 1 to be Toon Link.
so something I just discovered last night, the grand travels map is actually incredibly easy to complete as long as you have just one high leveled character (so your young link) because of the Gold Train Item Card and the song stones. The reason why this is important is because once you complete 2 fights (the one for Volga's level 4+ weapon and the one above Toon Zelda's level 4 weapon, you unlock the center of the map... which the first fight you unlock there is amazing for leveling. A lot of very high leveled enemies that give a lot of exp. I gained 2 levels in 2 minutes on my level 200 Volga, and I didn't even use the exp mixture. You can also use the method you used to reset the level to avoid having to reuse mixtures and waste money and materials since it is such a high leveled mission, your lesser characters will die easy :)
Adventure mode is a really fun mode. If you have the levels, you can unlock pretty much anything. I ran into the Lorule map and grabbed Linkle’s 4+ crossbows pretty easily
A fair number of the content went over my head, but I'll keep the map in mind. I'm still playing through Legends mode so I haven't even touched the Adventure mode maps just yet. Also my first Warriors game, so I'm still a newb to many things. I'll probably go buy Fire Emblem Warriors since I'm enjoying the game more than expected. Not just yet though since I'm expecting I'll be sinking a lot of time into this game.
Mind you, in Legends on 3DS I was able to progress Agitha's weapon level cap directly from level 1 to level 4+ in a single go, with her below level 90. It's doable at around level 75 or so with a 0 star weapon and no skills, but I kept getting hit too much (damage limit of strictly less than 15 full hearts total damage across the entire battle on 3DS), and wound up doing it at a higher level (kept levelling up from reattempting the map, and with a two star parasol with VS Dragon (very effective on this particular fight, because the only enemies it does not affect are the grunts and a single Skull Kid at the very end you can easily dispose of with Focus Spirit, the rest of the captains and the Other Forces general consisting of a mixture of Dinolfos, Lizalfos, Aeralfos and Fiery Aeralfos, which are all dragons). And if you want to get a bunch of characters more powerful without spending your Rupees and without using multiple controllers, the Grand Travels map has an Item Card called the Golden Train that lets you remove all character restrictions from every single square on the map, letting you play any battle without even owning the normally required weapon class. As an added bonus, this card lasts for multiple battles, but it cannot be combined with any of the three cards that give you an automatic pass on one of the grades, so for some of the weapons on the map it won't be useful due to the battle design making getting the KOs requirement nearly impossible on some squares (because the enemies are attacking and must be defeated immediately or you lose the Allied Base, and then the leader of your army immediately storms the enemy base, where they will fall fairly quickly if you don't help them).
If you have a fairy with the Glass Cannon skill, you can use that to drop your health quickly if you want to use death abuse. Also, Focus Spirit makes you very hard to stagger, but not impossible. If you get hit by an enemy special, or take a ridiculous number of hits in a moment (might be 15+) then you actually do flinch. I will say that this may be the de-facto method to level up Young Link, but this map is still good to complete for KOs and materials for those bosses and characters. It's somewhat short.
Once one character gets to level 255, it's really only a question of getting the money. Also, it's not worth getting the level 2 weapon for younglink from the wind waker map until you have three high level characters that can competently and quickly kill The Imprisoned, Ganon, and Phantom Ganon.
I've reached max level with 2 people already and using rupeesing takes way too long and isn't worth it it costs from level 100 to 255 18mill rupees maybe more I use amiibos and can grind rupees pretty quick its still not worth it its faster to grind the map
I started actively playing this game today, and I have a few observations. -The map system technically works, but is incredibly inconvenient at times. -Lana's spear isn't nearly as bad as people say it is. -It took me a LONG time to beat Volga on Skyloft before realizing I was supposed to go to the great fairy.
I don't get how you were able to rush there at all, the Impa weapon stage (the chokepoint just to the left of the start) on the way has hidden enemies, and there's no harps anywhere nearby to reveal them, especially on any of the squares you've done in the video... how the hell did you get past there without trekking all the way to near the right side? I can't even take a detour north, as that's blocked by ANOTHER stage with hidden enemies, forcing me to go east.
unfortunately a lot of the adventure maps are like this. theres a level towards the side that requires you to use agitha but its not that bad if shes decently levelled. just make sure none of the captains turn into that horrid hylian ghost that gives an instant game over. only real hazard tbh since she has AOEs with stunlocking power, and there arent any large bosses either. it might be a drag to A rank but you get a harp easiest here imo
@@TerryBogurt cut grass or break pots, there's a LOT of them. I also believe grass regenerates over time, but it takes a while. Young Link is miles better than (awakened) Master Sword Link, yet people place him below MS Link.
@@Minuey that involves luck cause you you might not get them no real point to doing that when you could just carry on with a diffrent character like why pick yink in a mission vs a few warrors when volga murders other warriors with his juggling
It's been a year, and you probably found out by then or quit, but in most levels (maybe all) where there's a requirement, if you get an A on it (or beat it for the fitst time, idk), that character limit disappears.
Cool... This is not what I was looking for though.. but at least it lines up with original so yeah.. this is a great guide though thanks.. xD. My young Link is only lvl 38 or something...
So how tf did you get to the weapon without using a harp on the butterflies at g-6 to reveal the enemies? Because it doesn’t look like you unlocked any spaces with a harp so I have no idea how yiydid it
In these kind of missions, you get a second warrior to use besides the first being limited. Also if you clear any mission with A rank, the warrior limitation is removed when you replay it.
If you have two players, the second player is free to use whatever character they want, regardless of map restriction. Extremely useful if you want to advance a map as quickly as you can (although the spawn rate of enemies drops significantly)
Shiek and Twili Midna are certainly very good, but not *quite* on the level of Young Link, and I say this as a TMidna main. Consensus on YL is that he's one of the best in the entire game, when played well at least.
TheMystenigma in my experience, the general consensus is that he is THE best. He also happens to be in a 5 way tie for best character on the official tier list (or at least, the closest thing we have to a tier list).
People have been asking about getting a harp, so I'll add a few more notes:

Nn Li Thanks dude, one just spawn for me
Can you do this with anyone
this map shows limited to skull kid only for me?
MrGodsPlague I’m a bit late but once you beat the stage once with an “A” ranking then anyone can go in after.
Nn Li how do you get exp accelerator
I was maining Crossbow Linkle initially but after this video, I've seen the light.
Or rather, the dark.

oh my mistake, I forgot you can only take in one character to this fight, so use multiplayer for this I guess if you can
Adventure mode is a really fun mode. If you have the levels, you can unlock pretty much anything. I ran into the Lorule map and grabbed Linkle’s 4+ crossbows pretty easily

Master quest is so weird it’s annoying that it gives u battles that u have to fight with different characters that are bad
This is what frustrates me with Master Quest, you’re mostly forced to use C and D tier characters.
Mind you, in Legends on 3DS I was able to progress Agitha's weapon level cap directly from level 1 to level 4+ in a single go, with her below level 90. Young Link is my Boi! Bring him back to Smash even if he has to be an alt. for Toon Link!

You may also need Tingle to get there ^^
Very nice guide =)
Was wondering if you would hit up Hyrule Warrior Switch. Love this game, got all 3 versions, I don't get tired of it.
Good ol' Young Link... basicly Tiki if she could fill up her Awakening Meter while in Dragon form. Also a hell of a lot faster.
My Y link is already 135 just by always using him. He is my wild card for everything. I love the fairy spamming with him. Easy fortresses.

I'm debating on if I should get this game this week or later on. I have played the previous versions, but this looks way better in my opinion.
JADEN JACKSON Got it a few days ago. Haha.
EXP farming for Young Link take his little OP ass to ANY rack up KO count or KO contest and destroy everything as Fierce Deity
I remember playing the other hyrule warriors... it was fun
It's awesome, maybe even more so now!
i'll have to buy it sometime then. is it still only on ds?
It's on 3DS and Wii U too, but the Switch version has all the content on both versions! Looks really clean too ^^
ill have to get it soon then
( ͡^ ͜ʖ ͡^)

I do have to agree about Lana's spear. I find it works pretty well.
Lanas spear sucks, you bearely do damage with her normal attacks and the rest of her attacks are weak.
Will you be covering xp farming for all characters
Moofa Slappy this works for all characters, though toon link is best at it
I mean young link
Cole Miner woah how do people even do this kinda stuff. What I mean by it is that it’s been 2 years and you somehow remembered to reply or something
Moofa Slappy i just discovered this video
I would tell you about the other xenoblade quests added today, but you seem happy.
I'll definitely go back when the new blades come out ;)
Hey I know this is an older video but if I don’t manually pick up the materials and weapons will they still be collected automatically
Correct: they'll be automatically collected once the map is done.
Can you or the community find out if infinite rupee glitch still works?

Young link bros!!!
*creates a giant light triangle*
so i can bypass character restriction with a second controller? what about keeping them in a safe spot though while i A rank a map XP
young link its the most broken
Yenkai Valentine not really he is very situational sure he can get forcus spirit often but if theres hardly any enemis around hes useless

do you keep the exp boost after doing restart?
Yes you do, but only if you restart from being defeated.
@@fimble_wimble learned that the hard way lol
Cool... This is not what I was looking for though.. but at least it lines up with original so yeah.. this is a great guide though thanks.. xD. My young Link is only lvl 38 or something...

It's not letting go anytime soon! D:
Do you keep the materials you get in a map after dying, or is it just the exp?
Just exp

How in the world do you get the ocarina to fill the green gauge? Everytime I've tried this it fails to do so.
Hey how do you use Young Link’s SP to MP
on the wiiu i used this very same tactic but i leveled about 5 or 6 levels per game :P
Well I guess I’m pretty much set since my attack badge is maxed out and I have young links max lvl mask
People do know u can rebuy items for map unlocks like bokbs with rupees right
Is it worth to buy this game when u have the WiiU version+every DLC? And i havent got much money so thats also a point in that
MonsterJJ i think i'll buy it if a got more money so thank you
I finally got this this part of this map but it says its limited to skull kid, what am i doing wrong?
In these kind of missions, you get a second warrior to use besides the first being limited. Also if you clear any mission with A rank, the warrior limitation is removed when you replay it.
imagine magic fountain+ with this...
how did you reveal the enemies in the beggining without a harp
What level was your Lana when you went for the Lvl 3 Mask?
she was lv.40
How did you progress without the harp (for the butterflies) ?
same im stuck on this map as well i see butterlies butndont have any access to any harps
What's going on with your focus refilling at the cost of special?
Riley K That's Young Link's special ability. Just press X. Only he can do it.
What mission is the hammer again? ;-;
Your already a Veteran!
Is the rubee glitch still working?
What’s this co-op trick you mention?
If you have two players, the second player is free to use whatever character they want, regardless of map restriction. Extremely useful if you want to advance a map as quickly as you can (although the spawn rate of enemies drops significantly)
How did you get Exp accelerator?
From collecting up to 45 gold skulltulas

Link is stronger as a kid... Kind of Ironic, right?
Champion Link well technically young link is not the same link as the main link in this game.
Obviously, though. This is a spin-off Link. The fact that a child could easily be better than the Adult link is still kinda funny, though.
i don’t have a switch :-;
Kuhme t you didn’t need to tell us. You could settle for the 3ds or wii u version instead even if they’re inferior.

Hello
HELOOO ^o^
Game looks like a lot of fun but not paying $60.
Korbro It's totally worth it.
Korbro it has all of the DLC and story content from both games, most definitely worth it
LeudyV. 266 Idk man, its an old game. I’d pay 40 like Fire emblem warriors, but not 60.
60$ for literal hundreds of hours is definitely worth it.
Gamingdude Idk, I need someone to change my mind. What would you spend your time? Just hack/slashing?
