Official Statement: To Whom It May Concern
It has come to our attention that a TV channel in Bangladesh named RTV has released false (fake) news against Gaan Baksho Music. RTV’s poor research behind this report made them questionable to the public and this is considered yellow journalism.
Gaan Baksho Music appointed Mr. Joel D Costa in mid-2020 as an Artist Support for South Asia lives in Bangladesh.
For remote work arrangements, he does not require any physical office but a genuine contact number and is able to meet in person if necessary to interpret in Bangla due to the language barrier.
Gaan Baksho website is maintained by IT support and withholds all the necessary information regarding our operations. As our Bangladeshi representative, Mr. D Costa has been assigned to share knowledge along with his support to Bangladeshi clients by explaining our policy, terms, and conditions in order to avoid miscommunication.
When music or video content gets registered, it transports to a universal music database, Facebook or UA-cam server which are platform-based registered businesses in the United States. After monetization or royalty collection, these businesses send the revenue to the distributors like Gaan Baksho Music and distributors then transfer royalties to clients through banks. These are basic procedures that are well known globally however, unfortunately, RTV is clearly unaware or did not bother researching these procedures. Due to RTV’s recent clash with popular composer Mr. JK Majlish, fake and baseless news is being published about Gaan Baksho Music.
It is with great pride and honor, Gaan Baksho Music has been sending rightful remittances to all their clients across the globe, including Bangladesh. Gaan Baksho is proud to be contributing to any country's economic growth.
The false allegation is a serious crime and since RTV has continued to make false allegations one after another, they need to be held accountable for misleading the public into believing baseless information through their fake news, for which they shall face legal consequences.
Gaan Baksho Music is a registered Australian Business, we strictly follow the governing rules and shall continue our services to ensure musicians and music labels can generate royalty around the globe.
