Thank you pastor David for your teaching on John 14. I absolutely believe in the Holy Spirit. He is with me, in me and upon me. He guides me all thru my life. Praise God for the Holy Spirit my Counsellor and my Lord ! Amen
Pastor Guzik, I have the utmost respect for you and I’m very appreciative of your commentaries and your teachings of verse by verse. But, and I say this with love, I don’t think it’s good to mock others or call them weird. I don’t think people striving not to be like the world and not wanting to blend in with the world is or should be called by Christians, weird. Even if we think them to be misguided on their interpretation. Despite what one may see on tv, I’ve had the pleasure of meeting both Amish and Mennonite’s and they very much love the Lord. I just don’t find that different is weird.
let that person believe as much as he wants or needs. GODFATHER will deal with him. as well as you me. i believe doing better or good is good maybe someday we or they will change. until then God will do his will
David Guzik, i am viewing this video, as I do I saw the same book ch. and verses ,the translated version, which is great ,except for how it interrupts the flow of the message for various reasons, 1. SPANISH GRAMMER 2.THE MESSAGE IS OT AS CLEAR, AS THE FOLLOWING OF THE MESSAGE IS INTERRUPTED.
That's an interesting question. There might be some parallel to it, but I think that it would be a stretch to make too much of that idea. Still...it's an interesting thought. Thanks for sharing.
4:05 David Guzik changes the subject. At 7:07 David Guzik speaks blasphemy again with this "Helper" (Made up "Helper") 7:49 What? He is just making things up. If Jesus wanted to say the "Holy Spirit" he would have said "Holy Spirit". At this point, he is so wrong I cannot even comment anymore.
Pastor Guzik uses the New King James Version Bible. He is not blaspheming. He’s reading directly from the scripture. It sometimes throws me off as well, because I’ve been KJV only all my life. I have no idea why the translators changed the word Comforter to Helper, but the Holy Spirit and Holy Ghost are the same. And whether you use the term Holy Spirit or Holy Ghost, He is both a comforter and a helper.
@@donemigholzjr.7344 HE didn’t add the word Helper. The translators of the NKJV did. This man is reading directly from his Bible. Accusing someone of blasphemy is quite the charge. Open your Bible to Acts 7:45 and come back and tell me what it says and what it means.
Absolute Blasphemy!! "Helper" is generic and stays away from an individual/person. "Comforter" is a person of the future. Clearly two different ideas. Comforter is long-standing and "Helper" is evil, the work of evil.
@@donnaisaak3402 It is "Comforter". It has always been Comforter and to call it anything but Comforter is blasphemy. Judas has left the last supper to turn in Jesus to the authorities. St. John 14:26- The Comforter shall teach you all things and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. The reason the churches change it is because they are afraid to admit they do not know.
You're simply sticking to the NIV's translation of the Greek word, parakletos. Parakletos was a legal term used in the court of law, a legal advocate, an attorney & literally means, "one called along side to help." That's what the word means. To translate it as Comforter is simply an interpretation, not a translation. So, the Holy Spirit is both a Helper & a Comforter but the idea is to come along side of you & help you, to defend you, to encourage & comfort. @@donemigholzjr.7344

Love is an action. Because God loved the world He GAVE His Son to die to pay for our sins. Because we love God, we OBEY Him.

In reference to God sending the holy spirit as a helper, is there any relevance to the creation of eve as a helpmate for Adam?
