@@AnEm_Fishing In the UK, We mostly go by weight, However a lot of Lure Anglers in the UK are fast adopting Europeans length records instead. I don't think it's worth not carrying a set of scales though, Especially when you're catching fish of the sizes you're catching. Incredible fish, Thanks for the watch!

Thanks mate. I personally don’t eat any fish that I catch, but there are people that eat them. I wouldn’t recommend to anybody to eat fish from the Po valley … it’s very very polluted and especially the zander live very close to the bottom all their life. Cheers man 👍🍻

Can you explain how you set up the drag on your reel? Do you set it to 20-30% of the line breaking strength or something else? Some guys told me it shouldn't slip when you counter, otherwise it may not penetrate zander's bony mouth. But I see yours slip and you are also very successful. Thanks!

Hey mate. I always have my drag set to what I consider maximum that my setup can take (except topwater fishing where I let it lighter) … so there is no specific setup, I keep it as closed as I can for the setup that I use. Consider that in this case I was having a 14lbs braid line, a 2500 Shimano reel and a rod that cast up to 17 grams and take a maximum 15 lbs line. So yeah, I keep my drag closed as much as my setup allows me. Cheers mate 🤘🍻

@@AnEm_Fishing Thanks. A method I used is when my jig stucks in some debris and I am about to break the line, I then pull with the rod and set the drill to slip when I feel it is near the maximum. But that again might be too much in my case since my equipment is a bit stronger (15-50g, 20lbs line). I lost so many zanders because I reel them to fast and since they are still very energetic and start bouncing near the surface, the jig just flies like a bullet. Probably it tears the mouth. I will try to release the drill once I hook them initially.

One reason that you are loosing the fish it's that you are using a powerfull setup and perhaps quite stiff to. so in this case what you can do (like you said) it's to release the drag immediatly after you set the hook. cheers man ...

Am văzut pe la mai mulți producători tipul asta de năluci. Eu ziceam ca pe lângă modelul asta mi-a mers bine și cu un altul, un fel de Shad cu ceva codița mai lunga ce îl poți vedea prin ceva video-uri de pe la începutul verii, sau chiar prin vara. Salutari 🍻
