The difference is Vsauce michael does hilarious space related videos about Dongs and shit, while Vinesauce Vinny delves into the metaphorical and deep understanding of ducks, frogs and burbs.
In my defense, Vsauce used to be a gaming channel. I saw a video once and forgot about it. Years later, someone asks me about Vinesauce and I'm like "Oh right, the bald guy with the glasses." I was wrong.

Vsauce, Vinny here. Have you ever wondered to yourself, "What ARE frogs?" ...Well, what are they, really? Are they just your average amphibian? Let's take a closer look.
Frogs, also sometimes know as Toads, start as an egg usually, and from an egg they become a tadpole, which then becomes a frog. But... what other animal goes through such a strange, almost evolutionary stage while it's still alive? That's right, the caterpillar, an insect. Could it be that Frogs are actually... insects?
Let's try something else. Frogs are memes, well what other kind of animals are memes? Spiders. It's become a meme to be afraid of spiders, and to "Nuke them from orbit" so much that almost every person alive has a natural fear of them. Could it just be a coincidence that both Frogs and Spiders are such huge memes, or is it possible, just maybe, that Frogs ARE Spiders?

It never occurred to me how incredibly odd it is that Mario has a score.
It's incredibly odd because even in SMB vs. (The arcade port) there is no high scores, it's just about getting as far as possible on your quarters. The score does nothing

SMBs physics always felt the best to me. The deliberate nature of movement required is really satisfying once you get the hang of it, and though Mario slides and stuff, the controls are so spot-on responsive that even though press left doesn't immediately make you go left in the air, it does make you immediately feel the weight shift...
I prefer World, but hey, more power to ya!

Vinny is knocked unconscious and he wakes up in a dark cramped room that is cold. The door opens and the lights come on.
"Hey Vsauce! Michael here! When will you die?"
The levels are made of small segments with enemy's put anywhere on them, the guy that made this just randomized the segments and enemy placement
I also expected something way more chaotic. I guess with a lot of time and effort one could build so many different segments that it feels completely random when played, but even then it wouldn't be as much fun/weird as an actual random generator with all its quirks, problems and general accidental RNG mishaps.
Yeah, he probably took the levels and made segments, made it so they can link together smoothly and then just randomized it.

This stream is weird. As an older viewer, this really feels like an older stream, say maybe from 2013-14. It's got a way more chill, cozy feel like those older streams did. I really thought I was watching an older stream until I looked at the upload date.

The physics are weird because they are very linear: you will very suddenly shift from moving eg. 2 pixels per frame to 3 and 4 after you've been in the running state for long enough. The Mario games after this one all properly interpolate this figure, making the acceleration very smooth instead. It's actually the reason I don't like this game very much.

This is a stupid observation but that knock sound effect is genius. Not just because of the idea but the way it was implemented. The first knock is behind you to the left. The next one is to your right. That's genius because when you hear it you turn around behind you to your left and your door is no longer to your left, it's to your right now. Then the second knock comes in and it's to your right. That would freak me the fuck out if i heard that on a normal stream and it wasn't acknowledged by anyone
I would love to see you try some Super Mario Maker. Maybe try a 100 mario challenge on expert, then super expert. Nothing like trying to make a jump only to hit a hidden block and die lol.

Super Mario Bros has my favorite controls in a Mario game just because how loose and slidy they are, it makes the game very speedrun friendly, I'm also a SEGA kid so the loose controls remind me of Sonic which helps me control Mario because it is controls I'm familiar with
I also think the momentum helps to keep the level design challenging, it stops the player just blasting through the game, something this game pioneered and Sonic in my opinion perfected
