- Well... Move-in weekend is finally over. Many families went through hectic craziness of it all with us, or are just about to... All I can say is, deep breaths big hugs, and a happy semester, kids!!

I watched this and had the beautiful memory of doing this with my daughter who I lost when she was 25 to cystic fibrosis. I love seeing how much you love Ivy and what you share here of your relationship with her! I adore your channel for everything you do! So thank you. Treasure Ivy! I know you do.

oh man, this reminded me of my college drop off weekend. LOL 🤦🏾♀️😅 for the longest, everyone talked about how much my momms was gonna cry leaving her only child 3k miles away from home. turns out it was me who cried like the big little baby i was. 🤣 SMH reality hit the moment my parents started driving away + the dam broke; i SOBBED. _unabashedly!_ 😂 so, you _and_ Ivy did marvelous!! 👏🏾♥️
Ivy, i hope you have tons of fun + more importantly, i hope you have the experience of your dreams, the experience you’re meant to have. you’re going to do wonderful things. i’m already so in awe of you. not only for being impressively self-aware so young, but also for standing so strongly, confidently, bravely, + elegantly in your truth.

I totally remember helping my daughter set up her room. It was a happy and emotional time. We went crazy with the decor and made her feel at home! Even hanging a pink cupcake piñata over her bed! But it was comforting and whimsical and oh so her! Many blessings on this new journey!

Good luck Ivy! I loved this I remember doing this with my daughter at Notre Dame what a time that was! I was a mess for awhile after returning home because it was so hard to adjust to not having her at home but thankfully we all adjusted and thrived! Now she lives in NYC and slaying it!!

Carla, both my children have moved past college and now are parents-both have 4 children, so I am living the best life of a loving AND beloved (I believe!!) Grammy! I remember though, leaving my youngest at her college in Maine many hours from our home, and crying as though my life was over (And as a mom, it sort of was…at least as it had always been.) but, there is a lot of life after the children are raised-some time for yourself and perhaps someday the overwhelming joy of being a grandparent! And Carla, your children will never stop needing you, even if it is just a listening ear (Which you do so marvelously for Ivy!!!!), offering advice as requested, or the never-ending support and encouragement we will always give to our beloved children, regardless of their age. You may be an empty nester, but your heart should be full…as you have sent forth a wonderful daughter who will no doubt make you very proud! It’s a milestone for sure! Thanks for your videos and congratulations on the successes and opportunities that have accompanied them! I adore your channel!

I remember my move in day so well.
My mother was a rockstar, she did everything and more! The best part was she looked so young and was (still is) gorgeous, that a guy from a neighboring college was posting flyers for a party and asked my mom to go. She was flattered, but declined.
