I was wondering if you will consider adding an additional step in which you can demonstrate the amount of pickup per different brush by dipping them into the same blush with all comparison brushes. It would also help if you can let us know what products you like to use with each brushes just so we can compare how they work well with our products. :)

Question about using the Silver Fox foundation brush for concealer: I think that is a personal question and will depend on how you care for your brushes. Some don't want to use this hair type with creams and liquids and I myself have been in this category (for now but I will try it in 2021). But I have also heard others say the brushes work well with creams and liquids and that it did not damange the brush. I was also informed by a friend that Takeda tested silver fox with liquids extensively and told her it is fine to use with liquids / creams. I trust Takeda and also feel the hairs are fine to use with creams / liquids. But using with creams & liquids will result in more frequent washing and this puts more wear and tear on the brushes.
I have the KZ-4 and KZ-5. I honestly bought them to experience the hair type because of all the good things I heard about Kazan squirrel hair. I don't use them that often because I continually reach for my go-to brushes, but they're beautiful and soft. I wish they were a little more dense but I have no regrets buying them.
That makes sense to me, thank you for sharing your feedback and experiences! I do think the KZ series can be too soft and less versatile than the other Chikuhodo brush series

I'm on the fence about how I feel towards the KZ-2... lol not to say that it is not the softest but the functionality is not compatible with my personal makeup routine.. oh well. I've been eyeing the KZ-1 and P-8 and I'm so glad that you included the P-8 in your comparison!!! I'll go with the KZ-1 :D

Hi Enya, on the contrary, thank you so much for watching!! You really can't go wrong between the MK-2 and the KZ-1. They are both beautiful brushes. In terms of performance, I think the MK-2 has a bit more density to blend in powder, the KZ-1 is very soft. Also think about the types of products you will use. If they are harder pressed or heavy to pick up, the MK-2 is more effortless, but if the products are soft or loose then either brush will work beautifully. I hope that helps some. Which brushes are your favourite, KZ series or the Z series. Both are so beautiful and am looking to purchase some Chikuhodo brushes and am loving the Z series but thought I'd ask.
I love them more but KZ are more my style looks wise and application wise (I like soft looks) but I think mixing and matching for shapes you prefer would be nice too!

Hello! The KZ-5 is much much softer and gives a very gentle and less pigmented application than the Sonia G Designer Pro. In terms of density my SG one feels more dense too
