It's always this way with the young or sweet animals. Mothers who kill their children never get life in prison though I'd argue they are worse than a drunk driver. Animals who get abused either only get rescued because the ASPCA have to let them off lightly in order for them to surrender the animal. Outrageous.
You mean she will be kept alive and fed 3 square meals a day while other citizens who are not cruel to animals may not have enough food and even shelter? That's very hard to swallow!

@@angelaharris1112 I’m sorry to burst your bubble but I spent 3 and bit years in prison when I was in my 20s and, unlike in men’s nicks where they know how to deal with rapists and child molesters, women do absolutely nothing. It drove me mad that they weren’t held accountable yet they’d beat someone to a pulp for some bullshit beef. So glad I never went back.

Franchises need to do better background checks if they are related to animal or human care! I saw on investigative tv shows where day cares that abused kids had either owners or employees with history of abuse or pedos and it slipped thru the cracks because there was no national data base to check on licensing! Sick!

Now your getting it. How hard can it be to learn how to wash your dog, get out the scissors and clip its hair, get out the ear drops and clean the ears, trim the inside ear hair. I do this for my dog. He does not trust groomers. Now I know why. We tough it out together. It takes about 2 hours, but when it is done we are both happy and I just paid myself 40 bucks an hour. She is a Shitzu, rescue.
Kudos to Bethany for actually listening to her dog when he changed. Dogs are great communicators, but not everyone listens. It's important to acknowledge your dog's feelings.

I’ve never been a violent person but the closest I get to imagining becoming violent is if someone abused my dog, she’d be in trouble - I hope I’ll never get tested this way. This woman is disgusting!

Probably because a lot of wealthy people take their pets there for grooming. Poor people can’t afford a service like that. The wealthy and their pets matter….the poor and their pets do not matter.

Enough is enough already! With the many cases of groomers abusing pets that we have constantly been seeing on the news in the past couple of years, it should be made MANDATORY for ALL grooming salons to have cameras in every room of their salon so that pet owners can access it via Wi-Fi to check up on how their pets are being treated. If groomers are not willing to do that, then say NO to their business and find another one that has nothing to hide. If we love our pets then we would never put them at risk for going through this. . . EVER!
This is why I learned to groom my dog myself because I swear on my own life and everything I love, if she was caught on camera abusing my dog, I would be sitting in a prison cell without a care.
My rescue dog is what brought me back from the edge when I went through the worst depression of my life where nothing mattered anymore. So I would have nothing to lose!

Years ago, I took our Sheltie in to PetsMart for a nail trim as they were having some 'special.' When he climbed up my arm as they grabbed at him, we walked out the door. The woman said I needed to train my dog better & I laughed in her face, and said he was well-trained but SHE needed more training. You don't just grab a dog out of their owners arms and expect them to like it. His owner (ME) was known to Bite!!

Never take your dog to a Petsmart or Petco they have the worst reputation when it comes to dog grooming. They have so many lawsuits against them. They're the reason why I avoided all groomers for the longest time but I had to eventually give in and find a good kind professional groomer bcuz I couldn't do it myself at home. Even though I did find a groomer and have been taking my fur-baby to the same person for several years but still doesn't lessen my high anxiety for this matter regarding evil groomers.
When I picked up my Bichon Frise from Pet Smart, the groomer said he was nasty when she was clipping his nails.He practically flew into my arm s in fear of her.He was the sweetest most docile little boy, & obviously the problem was HER. That's the only time I took him there. RIP Peabody ❤

No wonder why my dog never wanted to go to the groomer. I am now my dog's only groomer. It takes hours, but he is groomed with love.

Lord knows, I am a peaceful person. But I hate to think what I would do if I ever found out someone abused my lil baby. She is only 7 lbs. Sweet and so gentle. I love my Maltipoo to know end. I love animals, absolutely love them. I can not imagine the horror those animals went through. Justice is demanded against this horrible person!

Animal abuse is not taken seriously enough in the United States our police departments are governments are not upholding the laws we have to protect animals who have souls and feelings and love. Shame on our system!
I completely agree! I worked in animal rescue for 20 years and I never saw anyone go to jail except ONE woman and this was after numerous charges on year going back years! We shut down puppy mills and the owners of these got fined and that was it...we definitely need sterner consequences because the people do it again and again,it's sickening!

I stopped taking my golden retriever to a local groomer after he was trembling and frantic to escape a groomer. Completely out of character for him.
I am learning to groom him at home. This story is a reminder to trust your instincts.

This is horrible! The Woof Gang here where I live, is fabulous. Have taken my dogs many times there, and I highly recommend them to everyone.

I live in Orlando, I took my dog max to Woolf gang twice and both times he came back home bleeding under the neck. They never mentioned anything about it when they gave me the dog back. Now I groom my dog. Since then I learned how to do it by watching videos on UA-cam and I purchased a grooming kit on Amazon. I’m saving money by doing it myself and I’m saving my dog life. Behavior , he was being agresiva, now he is happy and spoiled.
I was going to take my dog for hydrotherapy but I couldn't be in room with him, I immediately canceled appointment. There's alot of nasty ppl out there, I don't trust anyone alone with my babies!!

These businesses just hire anybody nowadays. Think about the pet groomers who were actually qualified for the job but got passed over for this horrible woman. I just hope the pets she abused can recover.

My fur babies are always with me because unfortunately because of things like this, I cannot fully trust people alone with my dogs. Now I’m retired and enjoying them to the max. If I can’t take them on a short vacation with me, I’m not going. I traveled a lot in my younger years anyway. That lady is an abuser and should serve so time in jail. I wash them myself and if I had to groom them I would look for some kind of tutorial on how to do it myself. Many people these days just don’t have patience and have many instabilities going on in their lives, 😢and take out their frustration on children and animals.

Sadly, this happens to our elderly people in nursing homes today. I am talking about the ones the doctors recommend, because they have low numbers of people going to the hospitals, when they hit the elderly or drop them, they might have a broken leg and crying , they just say she always crys alot , the nurses never look , just tell the aids to stop hitting them , then they go back to work, ofcorse it still continues, they hide a lot , and get away with murder. No cameras are allowed 😢

Shes a disgrace to the animal community and the grooming industry. This is sickening! Please take a tour and personally meet your groomers and request the same groomer every time. Search for a highly recommended groomer by your local vet. Im so sorry this happened to your animals.

I only noticed ONE board member actually looking at this poised young lady. Imagine how long it took this 14 yo to do her research, then write her speech. $400,000 per year? Sickening.
Always take note of your pets behavior around people. ESPECIALLY after you werent around for a period of time to witness anything for yourself. But animals can often sense when someone is a bad person. Even if just meeting them for the first time. Most parents wouldnt leave their child alone with someone they are vocal about not liking. So dont do the same with your pets. No matter how much you personally may trust the other person.
Only God would be able to help her if she done that to my dog.
The lady talking about her dog shaking and urinating at the groomers, is an example of people who look like their pet. 🐈

Years and years ago, I'm talking late 70s, we had a minature poodle and a cockapoo. I should mention that both were rescues. Both needed to have furcuts regularly. I can remember our regular groomer closed her shop so we had to find a new groomer. Found one, had 'good' referrals from other pet owners. Took the dogs once. They seemed OK. However the 2nd time they were supposed to go, they, BOTH OF THEM, put up such fights. Growling and snapping at her. We decided to trust the dogs and never let them go to her. Later we were contacted about her ABUSING animals.

*At “Springfield Pet Hospital” in Springfield, VA, I used to shampoo for the groomer they hired. She apparently got too close with the clippers and the dog reacted and bit her hand, so the groomer (I can’t remember her name) started hitting the poor thing with her arm on the dog’s back, so I ran over to the dog to shield this dog from getting hit over and again yelling, “ENOUGH!!!” I saw what happened, reported it to the vet (owner, too). But apparently went in one ear and out the other! That’s been years ago, so hopefully she quit, or fired and just stopped abusing these poor dogs. SHAME ON THAT WHOLE VET HOSPITAL!!!*
