19:22 killed me! Nice video! Thanks!
Apologies for the quiet audio, when I was watching it prior to uploading it sounded fine however now it seems to be much quieter
It's also worth mentioning that I seem to have caused some confusion while explaining how stability control actually works, I explain how it works in a real car then explain how it things like differential and brake bias effect it, and while they do, its not quite in the way I explained.
Stability control simply points the wheels in the direction of travel as you oversteer, I assumed everyone would be able to tell this because when you turn it off, the wheels don't counter steer at all, and they do when its on.. My bad I guess
Damn I wish you still posted videos! You’re amazing at them
Soon
@@slayerofmidgets3201 epic😎🙏
Keyboard user here: I tested Full Stab and switched back to half, because its more fun and i can react better to other drivers in curves etc.Might be because i am used to it.[Boomer RS 4242 / 164,Bumpers,Rollcage]
I often see you online in your flashy boomerRS. Great racer.
I myself allways drive a green car. ;)
Half stab/abs off/tracion Half
Finally, a place that nicely explains the ins and outs of using stability control - with great examples too. This feature always eluded me which is why I usually keep it "safe" at half/half/half. But since I do prefer FWD cars, your tip on turning off stab control makes a LOT of sense on these cars. Can't ask for a better tutor than someone with 12 million exp points!
Edit: please don't add annoying background music to your videos, these are about as annoying as meeting a bus coming the wrong way when you're leading a race with a lap to go.
I usually don't run any assist but in this game when your smashing and bashing a lot I would probably recommend half stability control
long time no see online. nice to hear the voice of a known player 😁
I enjoy your videos. I have probably seen more of yours than any other UA-camr save for FailRace (who focuses on group race footage).
Did I catch that full stability and fully locked diff may not go together (because the rear wheels always spin the same)?
By the way, I prefer no music or extremely light music.
I kinda mispoke, it's not that a locked diff means stability control does nothing, but it's noticeably less effective, it'll still make the car a lot less willing to oversteer with a locked diff
@@slayerofmidgets3201 Thanks, I had to ask. I wasn't sure if I missed more information later in the video.
Anyone using wheel and pedals will definitely want to consider turning off all assists. If you're new to driving there is a learning curve but the rewards for overcoming gaps in technique is very noice.
Great guide man!
Good catch on 'no music' - I nearly missed that being in the bliss of engine sounds. NO MUSIC please!
Great video mate, I find I get similar times with half and full. I have a world record on Midwest motocenter with full stability on ps4. But I think you’re right it comes down the the driver.
A racing enthusiast one might say..
So have I been shooting myself in the foot running all assists off? I also race in first person...
For future reference I didn't even look at what position you were in until you said what position you were in doesn't matter and if I sound rude I don't mean to I have learning disabilities so some people could take how I write thing in the wrong way
Don't know of you still monitor this, but could we get your PS4 controller button settings?
this control scheme is old, ill tell you it anyway and the one i use now, both are with clutch manual
left stick: steering (both)
throttle and brakes are on the triggers (both)
shift down: X
shift up: square
clutch is L1 (LB)
handbrake is on circle (both)
the new system i use has some issues but overall is faster i think, also with this system make sure in advanced settings clutch saturation is set to 5% and deadzone 95%
shift down: right stick down
shift up: right stick up
clutch: right stick right
this way you can flick the right stick up and right or down and right to shift and its very fast i find but it takes some getting used to and if you miss a gear its much slower than the older system and because muscle memory makes it really difficult to brake using my index finger i use L1 to look backwards
What settings do you use ?
So whats the perferable best settjng n your eyes
Hopefully in 12 hours or so I will have a video up on this
Bet my guy
what these controllers button mean though? xD
Do you have to change your own gears
Yeah, I use manual with clutch, my clutch is on l1 and my gears are x and square
@@slayerofmidgets3201 but can you turn it off or not
@@olivereyre_2128 not in the middle of the race, but you can in the difficulty setting
@@slayerofmidgets3201 so if you turn it of you don't have to change gears and hold clutch
@@olivereyre_2128 if its set to automatic then it will change gear for you, you can shift but it usually shifts you back, if you set it to manual you have to shift yourself, with clutch manual you need to clutch in as well as shift
Video's a little quiet.
Wreckfest Science? that is an oxymoron. Wreckfest and Science are mutually exclusive. where one exists, the other one dosn't.
No stability control....no driving aids... only way to go. Still need training wheels for your bicycle I bet!
says the guy driving the biggest hacked car in wreckfest. LOL what a snob
It's not hacked at all, it's only good because it's a muscle car with the same engine as a muscle car but 6 gears, take the sv and set it to 5 gears, you will find it's identical to the venom when it's set to 1 gears, at that it's hardly an easy car to drive, and if you think otherwise ill gladly beat you in its normal counterpart
