Thank you for visiting us all the way from Finland! It was very interesting hearing about your watchmaking journey and seeing these beautiful designs in person. Looking forward to seeing how your brand develops in the future! 😊
4:30 I'm interested in this hour ring. Sarpaneva's Loiste watches have a very similar one and he's a graduate from the same school Rene mentions that dial was made in.
What beautiful watches. I honestly do appreciate the labour and hand work they put into their watches, but I really don't think that price can be justified at all because of the labour and few parts made in house. And I think the macro shots show all over this isn't yet a 15k watch...
Your eyes didn’t deceive you. Rene did amazing work hand turning the lower part with a graver, but getting a perfectly uniform finish there has appeared to be nigh impossible so far. 😌
Even if it is silver. My jaw dropped when I saw the price in the website. Not for me. Pity loads of potential. The watch needs a logo o smaller printing or only the initials. The name is just too big. Also the name of the model is too closed to a real company name. Elka. Anyway keep it on. But a watches for the less rich folk would be great. But keep it on. also and issue with the name all together. I find people who name their watches with their names is borderline narcissistic. But anyway it is just personal opinion.
Interesting comment.. most of the watch brand names actually are someones name? How is it bad in this case but not in other cases? And those names can be way longer and impossible to pronounce. What comes to name ”eka”, I think thats stupid to compare to ”elka”. If you dont know finnish language that eka means ”first”, has nothing to do with elka, its not trying to sound same. If you would have something to say about the watch itself ? I mean this comment wont make them learn anything about watchmaking itself. Maybe they could build better product, but mocking the names wont solve anything
That’s a low level vacheron constantin price country. 1 model, 8 pcs. Even at €15K… I suppose it’s just those 2 and no employees. The margin on that is still skinny. But you know, 2 guys making that… I want it. (I’m full up on watches. And that’s a big chunk of new car money. So…)
@@14749 what about only a The rounded piece of dial is actually silver. They don't make their movements and use an omega movement instead. Sorry but no. Make your own movement. Make the case in silver as well. And then maybe it will be worth the money it should be around 7k or 8k max. I rather get an omega for that money. No exclusivity as they don't even use their own movement. Some companies do that with pocket watches not the same but they charge half the price. As I said there is potential but this is cutting corners and charge a premium. I give them time to create their own movement etc. so will keep an eye and see what comes after that.
15,000 euros for a me too watch design from an unknown brand in steel is insanity. And the bald guy is a boring, he has no enthusiasm for what he is doing
Bald guy reporting in. 🫡 Not having enthusiasm for what am doing would fit perfectly well for my former self in the old job, but not here. It’s unfortunate that, at least in your eyes, I’ve appeared unenthusiastic as that couldn’t be farther from the truth. ☺️
@@kortero1 There's a difference between being reserved & lacking enthusiasm. I didn't find you boring or lacking enthusiasm. Sometimes Finnish & German people are stereotyped for lacking emotion. I don't believe in stereotypes.
I loved the watch maybe I wouldn't be able to spend that much money but I can appreciate the art. I hope you do well and have success. Loved both of you guys ❤️@@kortero1 And I also liked the longer logo name I would suggest not to shorten it. ❤❤❤
Do you have any suggestions for future guests?
It would be nice to possibly meet and showcase the likes of Jiro katayama, Hajime Asaoka, Naoya Hida and Masahiro Kikuno
Updates on Sarpaneva and Holthinrichs. Keep going with these new "unknown" watchmakers as well. Love your channel.
Echo/Neutra beautiful watches
The tank style one is incredible
Konstantin Chaykin, Stepan Sarpaneva!
Classy looking watch! Good for you guys for going for it!

I like the watch and its simplicity. New watchmakers are welcomed. I wish you guys the best success.
This was a pleasure to see! Such beautiful designs, well done!👍🏻 Hyvä jätkät💪🏼
Great work! Can't wait to see what comes next. Congratulations! 👏
Awesome! Love to see new watch brands!
So many round-beveled interior angles for the price. Incredible value.
Beautiful watches. Timeless design. Using refurbished old Omega calibers is quite special here.
Love that you highlight independents like this from outside Switzerland in person. I come here for my information on talented lesser known artists
Thanks man, that's the goal since the beginning, lots of countries and cool guys here to discover :). Congrats on your growth as well!
@ appreciate it!
Gorgeous work bravo guys cant wait to see what else they come up with
very nice, looks really high quality, great work! good price
Nice and easy clean design. Like the one with blue strap
An example of feeling you want to buy a watch because the makers are nice people as well as being ambitious and skilled.
Beautiful watch, the indépendant market is at it finest times I would say. Thanks Marko for the video.
Cool, I see a lot of potential here :)
Love the 38,5 size!
The perfect size for me…
Lovely clean designs
Awesome looking watches!
Goddamn, looking superb!
Gorgeous watch.

Great video.
Beautiful looking watch.
Free sprung balance is a minimum in my mind. I like the hand finishing. Is it COSC? Can it be COSC?
Good luck. If I only had the budget for one…
Very nice :)
Like best Calatrava for the fraction of cost and way more exclusive
Macro shots exposes finishing still has a way to go; noted they are all prototype in nature. Would keep an eye on the future release of the duo.
Impressive
What watch has the best finishing
Glashutte Original
6:19 did I just see one long scratch on the entire lower part of the seconds subdial? Nonetheless I like the watches a lot I must admit.

@ my serious respect to both you, regards from Sweden, Erik
So beautiful ❤ ❤

zeppelin have a watch that looks like that , from the front anyway an affordable alt.... from the front,
💯👍
All little production are same , a part in a rare case.
Good product, clear , but nothing to new.

Apparently, you don't know us scandinavians.
You should visit them in the workshop. I can tell you they won't stop talking about their work and plans.
too expensive, not my cup of tea
