  • In this video I show you three different arrows being launched from the same bow. You can clearly see how awesome they fly! I wanted to show the three kinds of arrow shafts I build throughout the year and give you a brief overall. I talk about some of the variations that you have options to get through the Nock On Archery store. These three arrows shoot freaking amazing and takes the worrying away from you on what arrow flies good. This gives you a lot to think about and this video should be watched along with a video coming soon call "What Arrow is Right for Me".

Ready for the long form after this teaser! Went back to the axis after trying the FM Js and finding that the aluminum sleeve is not forgiving if you miss a target and hit dirt you'll have a bent arrow to throw away. Wasn't as big of a deal five or so years ago when they only cost $12 ton15 a piece but now that half a dozen cost $110 I'm sticking with the axis 😂

Always do fun to watch the arrow with the lighted nocks! Like watching a tracer round. Specially when it’s over 100 yards.

  • @Sean-pw3yr

Do you shim your cams on the levitate?

  • @midnightmotivations

Whats your thoughts on the 6.5 Classic Hunter from Easton? I only shoot Whitetail

  • @feelsgooddoit

Fmjs ding easy don't tonk your arrows together or you'll mess them up. Personally I think they're a gimmick just as victory puts steal strands in an arrow. An arrow is only as strong as its weakest link, and it ain't the shafts, its the insert.

It would be great to spend a day shooting with this guy.

  • @blakebrown1559

I’m shooting the 5mm Axis 260 this year and I could not be happier with that arrow

  • @Zach_Prentice

Awesome quick run down! Thank you and can't wait for the longer video. Really looking into this to see what I should run when my VTM31 come in.

  • @vincentpeters9123

Pretty pumped for the video dropping later. I have the same DL and DW as you and as a new guy this stuff is awesome! The only other thing I wish you would show is how you find the spine on your arrows. Thank you for all your content! It’s extremely helpful.

Hell yeah Mr Dudley, as we men and women gear up for the hunting seasons ahead you know damn right we in here tryin to soak up whatever it is your willing to share w us casual bow shooters.... much appreciated from a Mexican brother in the hunting game. 🙏🤙

  • @mattooninnovation

John, your effort in getting proper information out to everyone is greatly appreciated. I also listened to the conversation you had with Dan from Elk Shape. Within a weeks time, you’ve provided more valuable arrow information than I’ve managed to read over the last four years. BTW, I also use custom cut 8-32 screws on the back of my inserts to make every arrow in my quiver the exact same weight and gain some FOC without using a fishing weight as a broadhead. It made me smile when you mentioned using screws when talking with Dan. It confirmed that I’m thinking about the right stuff and that experimentation is necessary. Awesome work, man! Thank you!

Like I said in the past, and I'll say it again! your the man of info, Outstanding job John, keep it Rippin down range. 👍👊👊

  • @kevintabor6586

I love all these videos John. Thanks

  • @mikekotomski8950

Another awesome video with so much info. I've been shooting the FMJs since they came out and are my go to arrows with 125 gr Stinger Buzzcuts. Keep the great info going!!

  • @williammitchell8612

Another great tutorial regarding arrow weight and flight. I love my FMJs, and shooting them from a Mathews Triax set on 65 lbs. Your videos are outstanding - the technical lecture combined with your hands on shooting demonstration is just a superb teaching platform. Many thanks... and personally, I think the lawn is looking great, no matter if it's cut the same direction every time. 😜

  • @sinepari9160

this is just what I asked for the in last vid! 🤟 I've broken a bunch of axis long range but not day six or sirius.

  • @Jistarii

I want one of these bows so bad. Been saving for over a year. This year going to use my Longbow until I can afford that Carbon Levitate. I like Trad hunting but really enjoy compound also. Thanks for tips Dudley

  • @cluelessdtm

When you are doing one of your 500 arrow practice sessions, how many arrows do you blow up by hitting with another arrow? How do you keep from wearing out your ten ring when you shoot those types of groups?

  • @tomfan8441

I have a question about when you mentioned some have left helical and some have right helical and they all in the close group. But would it mater if the arrow shaft naturally turns left helical but is fletched right helical vane? Or naturally left helical turn arrow fletching with left helical vane is better]more accurate?
