Dawson Knox is very appealing. He has a lot of talent and has improved a lot in the last year. He’s worth a draft as a starter. Kelce is better but Knox is younger, has something to prove and wants to show his worth. Knox has that potential to go off.

Anyone who doesn't see the high value in Knox, shouldn't be taken seriously.
@@bobbachelor5930 schultz and Knox had them both last year , Knox was amazing until he broke his hand stepped in for me when kittle got hurt and started him until he broke his hand , daltons extremely slept on too down in Dallas where they throw the ball for 5000 yards he has 800 and 8 tds last year and nobody talking about him doing that again when it’s super realistic considering dak loves his TE , love Knox and schultz for a steal and top 5 potential

I’d even argue that players like Pitts, Waller, and Kittle aren’t worth it with the output we expect from them and who you’re forgoing drafting by taking one of them. Kelce/Andrews or bust
I agree with the exception that I do think through sheer volume and his situation, Pitts could be in this top tier with the aforementioned two.
@@hugocilerin1503 he could be, but there’s definitely risk there, and he had plenty of volume last year and didn’t meet his ADP. I’d rather not worry about him unless he falls to some crazy value

@@godjoseph2146 That's up to you man, depends on your own personal rankings and if you want the positional advantage at tight end vs. getting a great RB or WR there.

Mostly agreed, but I think some people take this strategy too far. You still 100% need one of those dead zone TEs, just don’t panic and reach on one thinking you can’t afford to miss out on one specifically. Because while your stat correctly points out there isn’t a huge difference between say TE 10 and 20, that TE 20 usually is only TE 20 because of 1 big game you would never have started them for and was completely irrelevant every other week. Compare that to someone like Ertz who may not have that huge game but at least gets you 8+ points a week.
I always pick TE last. Last yr I drafted Engram but dropped right away bc no one drafted Gronk and that was literally a steal and also picked up Knox after Gronk got injured🤩

My strategy has been Kelce or Andrews in the third of they fall there, and then Schultz in the 6th if I miss out on the top 2. I also disagree about Ertz, I think he and Goedert are worth the 8th or 9th round pick, but everybody after them is a wash. Biggest mistake imo is actually drafting a backup tight end rather than getting a starter in the middle rounds. Whoever your backup is, they won’t perform better than a streaming option.
Agree after drafting (10 team) Sunday. Got Ertz in the 11th which I was satisfied with but now I see Kmet as a free agent

I scooped Knox as my TE1 in the 12th rd in my league with friends. Didn’t draft a backup. Most likely just gonna grab a backup off waivers and I stole Josh Allen in the 5th

I got Mark Andrews and Travis Kelce on my team in round 2 and 3
I got ertz in the 11th round. Especially early in the season I felt like it was a solid value

Patt F. Did solid for me this past season.I took a hit on the TE position because I focused on drafting more WR’s this season. Which paid off. Lol
I’m in two 10 man leagues and I drafted Pat Friermuth in both leagues, but in one of the leagues I traded Aaron Jones and Claypool for Kelce and Deandre Hopkins (Ik he’s suspended for the first 6 weeks).
That trade is amazing bro who cares about the first 6 weeks get out of there with 2 or maybe 3 wins at least and ur golden when Hopkins comes back because you have arguably the TE 1 and a top 15 WR
@@rd_smokes200 yea Ik, thx for the comment. I knew I got such a steal, because I had Aaron Jones and Nick Chubb as my RB1 and RB2, but now I just swapped Cordarrell Patterson jnto my RB2 and Kareem Hunt is another rotational option for that spot.
Just grabbed Higbee with my last pick and Brate is still floating in the FA pool so j feel good
TE is like the last position I draft before Def and kicker
I don't put a lot of stock on the TE position. Unless you get kelce,all others are a gamble

I find it crazy that people have Andrews at TE1. Kelce had a great year and Hill is gone so I would expect more targets for him & an explosion in fantasy this year, this is coming from a broncos fan too

I can see TE backups eat into both Andrew's and Kelce's production. Not sure I want to reach for either one.
Andrews has more ceiling , Kelce probably higher floor , no tyreek means you can double him or stack the middle and not worry about the outside , so I don’t see him going for 40 where as Andrews had a few 40 point games last year and that’s with Lamar hurt a bit and a bad line , ravens line looks a little better and they didn’t really get no weapons on the outside again .

Dawson Knox helped me win the championship last year, he doesnt have that volume like an Andrews or Kelce, but he is used constantly in the red zone and Allen loves throwing to him. If hes available Id grab him
I nearly always wait to get a TE at a great value in later rounds. Spending too much for a Markee TE Name can hurt your roster in the long run. Absolute last resort strategy move for me if the 1st Three Rounds go terribly wrong against my draft strategy.

Zach ertz is gonna be a monster this year imo. But I agree with the main point. The problem is that I hate the way my teams turn out with a te in the first 3 rounds. Always weak at another position
If I don't get Kelce I draft heavy on WRs and take a mid TE on a high powered offense in the late rounds of the draft (Jake Ferguson and Gerald Everett is who i have this year both off waivers) ...higher offense equals higher chance of my mid TE to score a TD
Patrick Freiermuth is gonna be the biggest steals of the draft. He has the potential to be a top TE this year

Need some feedback. First five picks for me tonight were JJ, Deebo, Swift, Kittle, Akers. Kelce, pitts and andrews weren’t available when I took Kittle. Should I have taken Shultz and next round gotten Jacobs because of the whole Deebo and Kittle issue, or was it better for me to get Kittle when I did?

To me i think knox is gonna be a beast. Yeah bills got some other WR to help but besides diggs i can see dawson being the second option especially in the red zone
Streaming TEs against weak defenses worked for me
I made sure to take Andrews in mine 2nd round because I am going to get like 6 more points minimum than most of the other people at the TE position
Dalton schultz.fantastic value in pass heavy offense.no brainer and can get him as 6th tight end off the board.

I've had a great TE the last threw years, and I've finished in the top 4 each year. Heck, a couple years ago, I had Kelce, then picked up Tonyan before he went off and he just sat on my bench. Still mad that I couldn't get it done though, but whatever

If this were true, the overwhelming majority of league winning teams would have Kelce or Andrews, and that is obviously not the case.
The truth is:
It doesn't matter where you score your points as long as you score them.
TE is only 1 roster slot and shouldn't make or break your lineup.
The TE position is only slightly more important than Defense and Kicker and can be streamed the same way.
