They probably just had someone in the orchestra who could play recorder and went with it instead of flying someone in just for that part.

Its good, but the song is 90% vocal and 10% instrumental, but in this presentation is 40% vocal and 60% instruments. Drums is to much strongs, and the chorrus is absorved by cords instruments. The only one instrument that should be strong is flaute.
As they say at home in France: "you must not be more royalist than the king" Would you be more Jenkis than Jenkis who is at the conductor's desk and who directs his own composition ?
Maybe you should write your own song instead ? Imagine being that ignorant and arrogant that you are going to tell the composer how to play his own song lol. GTFOH.
Completely disagree, this version is fantastic and the balance is just right. The only thing I don't like as much as the original recording is the lead vocalist, and the way they end it. Otherwise it's 👌🏻

I've read comments all over that dismiss this as 90s New Age tripe. Whether you like NA or not, this is brilliant.
Those critics just dislike new age. We have every right to dismiss them just as they dismiss new age people.
The Irish choir on Britain's Got Talent was my introduction. Their vocal performance + choreography still puts chills down my spine.

I've seen a few videos of various performances of Adiemus, all with a recorder.

Love this song but I have to say I prefer the Enya version. This singers voice is not as powerful.
