"I'm creating my home to be a perfect little haven for my weirdo self." I love that approach to home interior design! I get so lost wondering how to design my home for other people. The best approach is designing my home for me + my benefit!
Great content! Request: Can we see your home? Even just start with the table behind you and how you chose that brass rod (where did you get it??) and the little easel thingy on the table. I LOVE that cottagy style.
Love this video! I just got a rug, I placed it, I loved the colors on it, I loved the patterns on it, I loved the size of it, I loved everything about it but somehow after placing my couches on it, the space fell odd, couldn't pin point what it was because I loved everything. So I stared and stared at the space and I even took a picture to see how everything looked and tried to figure out what was it that was odd. Then suddenly it hit me! I had to move my couches a little inward changing the shape of my living room more to a square than a rectangle which was how I originally had it. As soon as I did that then I added a small console table behind the couch I moved inward and ❤ that was just perfect! So yes I totally agree trusting our eye and intuition is essential. Thank you so much for your videos you do a great job at explaining your points!
It's really helpful to think about interior design in terms of how we feel *before* analysing with our brains. As a chronic overthinker myself, i love to analyse why something works or doesn't but it can get incredibly complicated when it comes to things I don't have a degree in (interior design and fashion are prime examples). Your approach is much more practical, and as you said these principles were pulled *from* the way most people feel in a space , so no need to cerebralise everything (made up word 😂)
Right?! That’s how I thought of this video. I’m just such an over thinker and premeditating every decision can stop me from just trying things and being creative.
♥ Your channel showed up in my recommended feed. I've been binge watching and subscribed. This video peaked my interest. You describe developing intuitive personal design so well. It's refreshing to find a young person so passionate about individual style, one who is not promoting the latest drop from Target. You exude compassion, depth and calmness with an essence of appreciation for timeless style.
Thank you so much for your lovely comment! I’m thrilled to hear you found my channel and are enjoying the content. I truly appreciate your kind words and your support 🤍 Thanks for watching!
Great great great topic. I’ve noticed myself making choices based on intuition, loving the choice, and then rationalizing them with myself lol. I think the approach should be “Train/develop an eye for design and then trust your eye” PS I feel like your interior design style is reflected in how you present yourself, your makeup, outfits etc.
Hi Becca, I just discovered your channel tonight and OMG I love your content so much! Not sure how quickly you pop these vids out put I’m almost out FYI 😂
Perhaps my description was oversimplified, however, the goal is to optimize energy flow of a space by using the principles. With the goal of promoting a sense of wellbeing and peace, which are feelings. I think you and I agree but are explaining ourselves slightly differently.
Becca becoming one of my faves interior knowledge givers in 2024!!! She's gonna be big! Mark my words!
Wow wow wow you’re so sweet! Thank you!! I appreciate the encouragement so much 🫶🏼
literally same, her words make sense to me, they don’t seem empty.

I think you’re way ahead of your years. Your eye is en pointe. Your ability to communicate it is even more impressive.

I love your youthful yet mature perspective. So pleased that your channel is growing.
Finally, a video made for me! I have no sense for interior design when I’m working on my own apartment.

I am loving all your videos so far❤
I really enjoyed listening to your thoughts.
Very useful info! Also your makeup looks really nice 😊
I thought i was the only one in awe of her make up. 😊
I like 50% rules and 50% creativity.
I think that is a great approach!
💪
Great video!
Feng shui also talks about how the shapes and materials of furniture impact you. I think you would find it interesting!
I’m nearing the end of a class on it! It’s been really interesting and I’ve learned learning the different perspective!
❤🎉
Feng Shue is about energy not feeling

I think 'dogging' has a different meaning in the UK 😅😂
I just turned bright red lol. I didn’t even think twice about it 🤦🏻♀️😂
@@rebeccasplace I don't think anyone cares, I just thought it was funny how two countries same words with such different meanings. Great video btw!
