- Perspective purchaser trying to buy a 1971 Plymouth GTX V code 440-6 pk car from 2014 Auctions America in Auburn Indiana thought it best to hire auto appraiser Jason Phillips to take a look up close. This classic car had a Gaylen Govier report available that was never mentioned in RM Auctions ad copy of the car for sale. Over 300 photos were taken and a written report were prepared on site in Auburn In. which outlined this rare muscle car's details. Thank god the buyer didn't bid on this car sight unseen! There was much to be discovered.

This was and is one of my favorite models ever. So beautiful.
Gorgeous car. I always loved this body style.
Sweet 1971 plymouth gtx.
The pulled out areas on the bottom of the frame could be from frame straighting, may have been wrecked.
my71 rr blew a rod in 74 got stuck n the lifter mech said was lucky. was fixed under warranty though had air grabber , rear factory spoiler paid 2200 for it in 73 sold it 3 yrs later used the money as house down payment.
Rear factory spoilers looks like crap on these cars.
K-Member is incorrect for that V-code. There's no "skid plate" protector welded to the K-Member found only on 440+6 & HEMI cars due to the deeper 6 quart oil pan.
11:56 the gas gauge is almost on empty, dodge 440 six pack confirmed
vargo hoat It’s a Plymouth 440 six barrel! Not a Dodge 440 six pack! I know it’s the same motor, but give each division they’re proper respect please!
Love that color
I'll never get those toes outta my nightmares.
my 71 satellite Sebring is set up the same way rallye dash, map light, cruise control, slap stix with console , buts missing one thing that this one has and isn't being made in reproduction that I can see and that's the Stratos optional Cassette player anyone know where I can get one thanks
lifter tick probably came from another knit wit like this guy revving a cold motor. duh
Good on looking over vehicle but might want to take a moment and think about safety n use jack stands. So it's not the last car you check out.
How much would this GTX go for as is sale.?
just an fyi. the core supports were an easy change. 9 times out of 10 when these cars took a hit it was in the front end.AND during common engine swaps due to popped engines the core support often was damaged during engine swap.always look hard at the core support. it will give clues how hard of life the cars had. harder the life the more likely other things are not right. look for the vin in the trunk opening area. that one posed all sorts of problems to change out.
With all the things that are wrong with this GTX. HOW MUCH COULD I BUY THIS CAR FOR? AQUILA MAYFIELD SR ASHEVILLE NORTH CAROLINIA 28801.
How much could I get this 71 GTX, AS IS?.
what size are those BFGoodriches
Smokey mountain traders ended up with this.
4406v 4spd B-body ....thats all I need!
Better than hemi unless Nascar hemi and good tune and good gear and torque
Really? Did they end up selling this? I doubt it. I heard they paid unGODLY money for this low impact color 440 6 pack unit! Owners wife will be turning this one into a demo!
color difference from door jams to body r normal car was enamel paint now is urethane
Cool... 😎!...
WOW. You're videoing under a car with no jack stands, putting your life in the hands of a single hydraulic jack?
I thought the same.
I hope you advised your client against buying this mess.
Indiana huh? I'm from the region.......unfortunately lol.
This is a low compression motor, engine & sticker package.
The body an paint was nice.the engine seems suspect to me.
Passenger door alignment is off.
Don't know why anyone would send someone who doesn't have a clue about Mopars to assess an auction car.
Under a car without safety jacks? I mean seriously...
Car is worth $5500.00 max
Flowmasters make these beautiful cars sound like shit !!!!!!
In need of a HEMI..😠😠😠
no, no i cant see that. get a camera dude! get a real camera. gahh
What an awefull example
Prob better than the one most people have cause most don’t have one
