That's the best bass transcription of Streetbeater that I've ever seen. You totally rock out man.
what a nasty bass line. That bas got some stank on it. Awesome job !
Gawd, that someone finally recognizes the awesomeness of this song. The bass, the harmonica, the organ, at the top of their game. A rare cross between blues and funk. And this particular bass player -- you can tell by the way he holds his hands -- is ready to take it to the streets.
Fantastic!
Awesome!!!!! 😃😃😃😎😎😎
Chuck played a mistake on the last note but they kept it because it was ‘funny’.
Papa Rainey showing us how mortal we are.
Yes, Quincy overdubbed a second bass line. I had to "split the difference" in some parts.
Best version on UA-cam, thank you for sharing your amazing plaything with us!
What a timeless classic of a bass line. I can listen to it all day.

There were three different bassists on this track. Chuck Rainey, Mac Arnold and Louis Johnson.
Only 1 on this track, Chuck Rainey

Louis wasn't working Jones at the time of the production of Sanford and son
@mikefrostbass Sanford and Son aired in 1972. Chuck Rainey played the bass for the tv theme. Louis Johnson (of the Brothers Johnson) was first recorded with QJ in 1975.
